No beIN SPORTS on DIRECTV? Watch La Liga via these alternatives

Soccer fans should be fuming mad that both DIRECTV and Comcast Xfinity have decided not to renew their agreements with beIN SPORTS to carry the home of La Liga on US television.

Thankfully, there are other options to get your LaLiga and beIN SPORTS fix.

1) fuboTV

Out of all of the legal streaming solutions available, the one that we recommend the most is fuboTV — for three reasons. One, fuboTV includes beIN SPORTS, beIN SPORTS en Espanol and beIN SPORTS Connect so you can access all 100% of LaLiga games. Two, fuboTV includes a DVR with 30 hours of storage at no extra cost. And three, fuboTV offers a free 7-day trial).

2) Sling TV

Other legal streaming options include Sling World Sports for $10 per month, which includes beIN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS en Espanol. You can also subscribe to Sling Latino or the Sling TV package with Best of Spanish TV.

3) Other cable or satellite TV providers

beIN SPORTS networks are also available on Verizon Fios in NYC, Washington, Baltimore and Boston and on Charter Spectrum in LA, Dallas, NYC, Columbus, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Tampa/Orlando, Birmingham and San Diego.

If you’re a Comcast Xfinity, DIRECTV, DIRECTV NOW or AT&T U-Verse subscriber, now is the time to consider cancelling your service and going with a TV or streaming provider that values you as a customer.

You may want to consider switching to DISH or another TV/streaming provider. DIRECTV used to be the home of soccer but not anymore.

DirecTv customer service reps just give you the party line…. “We are doing the best we can to negotiate and bring back beinsports. It’s all BS!!
No matter what they tell you, we are paying for something we are NOT getting.
This more and more smells like a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT.
    Any lawyers out there?

The channel slot for beIN (467) has been completely taken out now. An indication that it’s never coming back?

Who knows. I’m optimistic. BeIN just reached a long term agreement with DISH so hopefully DirecTV is next.

I was furious earlier when the game Barcelona vs Valencia was interrupted and got completely cut off!! What’s the deal with Direct TV? I guess it’s time to cancel Direct TV.

I called DIRECTV and told them how much it would cost me to add fubotv. The person on the other end was able to bring my monthly bill down by the ~$45.

I got the Sport Pack because Bein Sport. I called Directv and they give me alternatives without Bein Sport. It would be hard to change out of ATT package due to internet. I have 3 computers, wireless printers.. I have my email address for over Twenty years….sucks….I stiil have some hopes but I told Directv my piece of mind….or another channel will eventually will be available. In the mean time I will try to find an Internet option and see what will happen when the Bein Sport rights for La Liga ends in 2020.

For any Directv subscribers- I just cancelled the Sports Pack because of beIN sports. Even before I had a chance to explain why, the rep asked me if I was cancelling because of beIN sports. I was surprised because this channel is very obscure. She tried to convince me to keep it by offering a discount and a “reassurance” that Directv/ATT were working hard with beIN to renegotiate. When I declined the offer she again insisted that negotiations are ongoing and they expect to bring the channel back when negotiations are complete. I told her I would add the Sports Pack back if/when the channel is brought back but I’m not going to pay for something I don’t watch (since that’s the only channel I watch on that package now that Fox and regional don’t carry UCL).

Anyway, it was nice to hear that they are working on it. That they must be losing enough subs to that package because they don’t carry beIN that they immediately mention beIN when cancelling Sports Pack. Hopefully more Directv subs will cancel that package so it puts more pressure on them to settle with beIN.

About to cancel my subscription to direct tv. I purchase the package I have because beIN sport is a must have channel for my family, so now it has been dropped by direct tv, it is now my turn to follow along with some of my friends and drop direct tv.

beIN still has the rights with the 2019/2020 season. Whether or not they have the funding to remain in the air after this season is a different question (not a fact… just something I read regarding funding)

Very curious as to how La Liga responds to this. They’re trying to make such a big push into the US market and you’d imagine they can’t be too thrilled that the only broadcaster of their product has just been dropped by two of the nation’s biggest providers, Direct TV and Comcast. Can they either A. put pressure (or add financial incentives) to all sides to come to an agreement and get BEIN back on those providers, or B. renegotiate their contract this season with another provider? Personally I’ve always been a fan of BEIN and appreciated their status as one of the only soccer-specific broadcasters here, and it would be a shame to see them go under, so I hope something works out. I also can only assume no La Liga fans want to have to wait until 2019 season (when the BEIN contract is up) to be able to watch the games again. Until then, off to figure out if Sling World Sports is any good.
