Comcast Xfinity adds TUDNxtra access for more soccer coverage

Just in time for the next round of the UEFA Champions League and Europa League games, Comcast Xfinity has added access to TUDNxtra, the overflow soccer streaming service from TUDN (previously known as Univision Deportes).

TUDNxra offers 11 separate channels of additional soccer coverage. Whenever there’s a ton of soccer matches being played at the same time and TUDN can’t fit them all of them onto their TV channels, TUDNxtra streams the other games — whether it’s UEFA Champions League, World Cup qualifiers or other competitions.

TUDNxtra launched in September, and is accessible via the TUDN app and TUDN.TV as well as fuboTV and DISH Network. If you’re a subscriber to Google Fiber, TUDNxtra is integrated into that platform, while subscribers to Cox and Altice (Optimum and Suddenlink) can access TUDNxtra and TUDNxtra through authenticated logins.

And now Comcast Xfinity has added access to TUDNxtra, so you can log into TUDNxtra using your Comcast username and password to open up a whole new world of soccer coverage.

I just added the hispanic sports package to my comcast because I’m desperate to watch the CONCACAF champions league. I wonder if I didn’t need to. Oh well, $10 a month is not too bad as long as I can drop it in June when that competition is over. .

An extraordinary Europe League soccer afternoon on TUNDxtra Zona Futbol. 16 games with the live updates: every goal, chances, controversial moments. The only missing thing: language barrier. But if (among many commentators) Hristo Stoichkov (Bulgaria, Barcelona) and Ivan Zamorano (Chile, Real Madrid) are at least half good as presenters as they use to be as footballers, I’m assuming that Spanish speaking soccer fans had full excitement. I hope that someone of ESPN executives keeps track of TUND’s presentation of European soccer. We can just dream and imagine a similar Saturday or Sunday mornings next season on ESPN+ with Serie A, Bundesliga and Eredivisie and ESPN+ own “Soccer Zone”. US soccer fans deserve more than just 30 minutes of ESPNFC Daily, “ESPN signature soccer show”.

I don’t speak Spanish but I have watched more Europe League this year because of Zona Futbol, it is awesome!!!! How wonderful it would be if ESPN+ would have something similar with all of their properties!!!

I have AT&T TV. I can login to the app but I only get the games on the linear channels. Is there a list of which providers are officially supported?

I tried to access Borussia Dortmund v PSG on the Univision Now streaming service but Comcast/Xfinity is not available. It says it’s coming soon. I then discovered Univision Now is different from TUDNxtra where Comcast/Xfinity is available but the game is not. It’s available on one service but not the other.

The picture quality in the app is awful. Any way to fix it?

Will this be available on Roku?

They need to develop a Roku app, but agree it would be great. Univision Now has an app but it does not include the TUDN extra channels.
