Soccer TV Schedules App: Making it easier to watch games on TV

Soccer TV Schedules App

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Soccer TV Schedules App.

Since first launching our website in 2005, we have always featured listings of where you can find your favorite team on television. As time has passed, we’ve put more resources into creating pages and tools to make it easier for soccer fans to find out where they can watch games on television and streaming.

Now, those soccer TV listings have expanded even more, this time into the world of mobile phone apps. We’ve created the Soccer TV Schedules App, which is available as a free download on iOS and Android devices.

Soccer TV Schedules is the result of three months of design and development to create an app that features a clean and easy-to-use design. It serves a simple purpose, which is to eliminate the confusion about where to watch your favorite soccer team on television and/or streaming.

With so many leagues and competitions changing their broadcasters in the past one to two years, and many broadcasters themselves changing which channels are broadcasting games, it’s now more complicated than ever for soccer fans in the United States to find out where to watch games. That’s why sites like World Soccer Talk remain so useful, updating you on the latest streaming developments as well as providing the most comprehensive and reliable TV and streaming listings of games from around the world.

Here’s more specific details about the Soccer TV Schedules App, which is powered by World Soccer Talk:

Features:

• Follow your favorite teams to see their TV listings first
• Use the filter to see the leagues/competitions you only want to see
• Includes links to watch live games via legal streaming services
• Works with dark theme on your phone
• Kickoff times listed in your local timezone

Other benefits:

• No advertising
• No auto-play videos, and
• No bugs

The listings on the app are for viewers in the United States only, so you won’t have to weed through tons of information to find listings for your country. Plus, the Soccer TV Schedules app features listings for the next two weeks, so you can see all of the upcoming games for your favorite team.

With the app, you can favorite more than one team if you support clubs or national teams from various leagues or countries.

Searching to Paramount+ stream on demand the Italian super-cup, Milan-Inter did not find this game? Do you know whether this game was already played or will be covered by Paramount+ just before the new season starts in August?

They usually play the Supercoppa in the winter instead of before the season, like most other leagues do. Last season it was on January 12th

Fox Sport Network has a very poor coverage of UEFA Nations League and soccer in general compared to previous owner of the coverage rights, ESPN+. Writing down to FOX Sport complaining with their sub-standard coverage did not produce any outcome, nobody bothered to answer?

@Chris That is a pity. BeIn broadcasts some ‘smaller’ games in either French or FX and the different audio streams become an attraction by themselves. I was watching a Ligue 2 game some other day just because of the audio.

Agree. There is also an issue that the world feed does not provide commentary, only FX audio. If many contact them and let them know we wish to see games even with no commentary, they may consider adding all games, since I will hardly cost them anything.
@Chris Any contacts at ESPN you could let them know?

I’ve spoken to someone at ESPN about this in the past, and they said that their policy is not to air games that don’t meet their minimum standards of quality. They won’t stream games if it’s just the natural audio from the game by itself.

Also wondering if there’s a way to convince ESPN+ to add more Bundesliga 2 games to their lineup schedule as 1-2 games is definitely lacking for those fans that are hoping their team makes it back to the Bundesliga this season.

The more that people watch the 2. Bundesliga games on ESPN+, the greater the chances are that ESPN may stream more games if there’s a demand for it.

Hi Chris, I downloaded the app, but my favorite team Werder Bremen SV isn’t listed as one of the favorite Teams to select in either Bundesliga league. Is this because the app hasn’t been updated for the 21/22 season yet?

No Serie A tv listings for midweek matches? In soccer ⚽️ tv 📺 app?

Will be added shortly. ESPN only recently decided which games would be on. Thanks for the heads-up.

It’s been a disaster I am not paying for 10 different apps when I already pay for Comcast, Neflix and Prime.

Thank you for making the app. I’m looking forward to trying it out. I know you guys are new to app developing but is there any chance that you can upload the app APK file to your website directly? I don’t use Google or iOS app stores so I usually get apps from their website directly. Another option I use is F-Droid and Softpedia for app downloads. Love the pod, keep up the great work!

This is excellent! I’m loving the ability to watch so much soccer in the US these days but yes, it does get a bit confusing to find what app/channel a match is on. Thank you! Bonus points for including dark mode support and an iPad app. I use the iPad so often it is really excellent to have this available as a native app.

I agree with JP re a possible next version. It would be handy to see a small “NBCSN,” “beIN Sports,” or “ESPN+” next to the match on the main screen (then list Fubo, Sling, etc on the next page after you tap it.

Thanks Chris I see those competitions added now.
My suggestion about the display was meant to have NBCSN (if that’s where the match is carried) in the 1st screen then the links stay the same in How To Watch. Not to provide all the steaming providers of NBCSN on the front page.
That way if someone already knows they have a service that carries the network (or they already have the app if match is on Peacock or ESPN+ for example) it saves them an extra step.
If they don’t have it and want to watch that match then can use How To Watch for their options.
My 2 cents, thanks again for the continued great work and happy new year.

This is great — looking forward to using it, especially when more leagues start back up again. Do you prefer feedback to go through the app, or via comments here?

    Downloaded!

One suggestion, have the network/streaming app provider of the match listed on the 1st screen with the clubs and time of match, then the “how to watch” as it is now with the services/links that carry it.

Also, didn’t see some leagues/comps available for filter, like Copa del Rey, Coppa Italia etc.

    Thanks for this resource.

      December 26, 2020 at 6:58 pm

Hi JP, thanks for the kind feedback. We’ve added Copa del Rey and Coppa Italia matches for the games scheduled to appear in January 2021 and beyond.

Regarding how the information is displayed in the app, one of our earlier versions of the app before it was released had the listings that way, but it made the page way too busy. Some of the games have more than 5 different viewing options for just one match. So we went with the format you see in the app currently to keep the design clean and less busy.
