FOX Sports and fuboTV have announced their UEFA Nations League coverage details. As a consequence, there is good news and bad news about how to watch UEFA Nations League on US TV and streaming.
First, the good news is that every game is available for viewing in English-language. Second, the bad news is that games are strewn across several different channels, apps and services.
To watch the UEFA Nations League on US TV and streaming, games are shown across:

FS2
FOX Soccer Plus
FOX Sports App
Tubi
Fubo Sports Network
How to watch UEFA Nations League on US TV and streaming
Out of the more than 100 UEFA Nations League games scheduled for June 1 through 14, the games are spread across TV and streaming. First, FS2 has 15 games. Second, FOX Soccer Plus has 13 games. Third and finally, FS1 has 11 matches.
With no OTT streaming service of its own (ESPN has ESPN+, CBS Sports have Paramount+), FOX Sports are only broadcasting a minority of the games. Therefore, it’s no surprise that FOX sub-licensed the majority of games to fuboTV (NYSE: FUBO). In an ideal world, FOX Sports would have their own streaming service that could handle the number of Nations League games.
As a result, the winner in FOX’s UEFA Nations League strategy is, right now, fuboTV. The streaming service that focuses on sports already offers FS1, FS2 and FOX Soccer Plus. You can also use your fuboTV login to authenticate with the FOX Sports App to watch the three UEFA Nations League games on there. What fuboTV doesn’t offer is Tubi, but the two matches on that free ad-supported service are Scotland-Armenia and Ukraine-Ireland. And then the remaining 62 games are all live on the Fubo Sports Network, available via fuboTV.

So far, the one bond that ties all of the UEFA Nations League games together is fuboTV. The two exceptions are the games between Scotland-Armenia and Ukraine-Ireland on Tubi. And for English-language viewers, especially those who don’t mind spending more for fuboTV to avoid the headaches and confusion, a fuboTV is your best bet.
Avoiding Fubo Sports Network confusion
We’ve already seen some soccer fans getting confused by games being announced on the Fubo Sports Network. For background, Fubo Sports Network started as a free streaming channel available on smart TVs and The Roku Channel. The channel airs reruns, documentaries and shows.
Having said that, the Fubo Sports Network that is showing the 60+ UEFA Nations League games is not the free channel. The Fubo Sports Network showing UEFA Nations League is only available via a paid subscription to fuboTV (either the Pro or Elite plans).
However, fuboTV has announced that it will show some UEFA Nations League games on its free streaming channel. Subsequently, expect fuboTV to announce those games at a future date. Suffice to say, they will likely be matches involving minnows.

Games to look forward to
FS1 will air a slate of global soccer powerhouses. For instance, FS1 is televising Spain vs Portugal, France vs Croatia, Belgium vs Netherlands and Germany vs Italy.
Games that are exclusive to Fubo Sports Network via fuboTV include a lot to choose from. You can watch England vs Italy, Germany vs England, and France vs Denmark, among others.

I was watching Finland vs Bosnia on FS2 until the 60th minute or so. The picture froze and Fox cut to a commercial break. The game never came back on. I tried to access FS2 online via log in, same thing, commercials.

Fairly similar problem for me on Vix for the Austria-Denmark game yesterday. The live feed cut off around the 78th minute and never came back on. I tried both the web site on my computer and the app through my Amazon Firestick.
I wonder if these were related problems. Also, I realize that technical glitches happen, but I wish Fox and Univision were a bit more pro-active about keeping the viewers apprised of what’s going on.

Matt, the exact same thing happened to me on the Apple TV ViX app w/ Denmark Austria, I suspect it had something to do with the power outage that delayed the start of the game. That was maybe the 5th ViX game I’ve watched and the first glitch.

Loving the fact that ViX coverage has freed me from having to watch Foxcrap. I only understand a few words of Spanish, but that’s ok since the language is easy on my ears. Plus I can enjoy hearing the lineups. From here on out I will refer to the GK as Jourdann Peekford!

Besides the ViX Spanish option to watch England Hungary today I should also mention that all the England matches are live on Channel 4 in the UK and via a VPN anyone in the US can watch this. It is very high quality and, of course, in English. I’m watching the pre-game right now on All 4 on a MacBook Pro with the Chrome browser. I couldn’t get the stream to start in Safari. I don’t know if it is absolutely necessary but I change my time setting on the Mac to UK time before accessing with a VPN. Michael Owen and Jordan Nobbs interviewing Gareth.

Since people are checking in on this the following text should be amended:

and updated with more helpful guidance that no one should tolerate this FOX-Fubo cluster-ck and instead simply download the ViX app and watch all of this for free. I just checked the Belgium-Netherlands and Spain-Portugal replays on ViX and both are very watchable, about the same video quality as Peacock streams BEFORE they upgraded their video quality and about the same quality on USA Premier League games streamed via Sling TV. Not the best quality but eminently watchable.
Pause, replay and DVR controls work perfectly on the iPad and Apple TV, including 15sec skip back. I had no idea how to get ViX before today and if anyone else is in that boat I hope this helps.

I tried watching the Belgium vs Holland game but then I realized just how bad Fox are . Commentary was a split second behind and JP Dellacamera and Cobi Jones were ……..well……even worse than I remember.Had to give up and go out to do some shopping.

This is yet ANOTHER marketing manipulation by “the suits” to get us to subscribe to a steaming service. $6 or so a month is one thing, almost $70…forgetaboutit! I sure hope it doesn’t succeed. So, don’t fall for it. It’s our only chance!

Did you see that Fubo is also releasing the 4 England matches on PPV for $25 each? (Still available for free to FuboTV subscribers).
The price seems very high, but I guess there are some people that don’t care what the price is, they just want access to the game. Or can’t figure out how to watch in Spanish on VIX.

Looks like Fubo is taking us back to the terrible Setanta days with this antiquated PPV model combined with this all or nothing $69.99/month subscription plan. ESPN losing the rights to Fox would set access to UEFA/International games back 20 years back if it weren’t for Vix. Please Univision, make the Vix+ pricing reasonable.

Are you supposed to be able to stream Vix games on a web browser? The app for Amazon Fire TV works, but I can’t get anything going on Firefox or Microsoft Edge, even with extensions disabled.

Thanks for the informative article. This is a frustrating development to say the least. What we used to get for $6.99 a month on ESPN+ will now set us back $69.99 for a Fubo Pro subscription.
Christopher, when you have a better understanding of the Spanish-language rights situation, a new piece would be much appreciated for those of us who have Univision and TUDN as part of their cable plans. Will they carry live games? Will other games be available on their apps? Which ones?

Another sh*%show by FOX. It’s like they don’t care about really broadcasting a great product as keeping it away from other broadcasters. I love their coverage of American sports. But European soccer coverage sucks. There is no reason in 2022 that they have no streaming service for their sports properties. And for Uefa agrees for whatever they paid. It’s a disgrace. It’s as bad as when TNT got the rights to the CL/EL. Especially when games could have been on TBS,CourtTV and TruTv.

The Spanish narrations are usually very good. We can also tune in to BBC5 or any other radio of choice, and sync the audio. I usually prefer radio narrators anyway.

Yes, indeed. I found all matched on Vix. Vix has become my go-to app now. For the summer, they cover everything for me except for Libertadores. Only issues are lack of DVR, and image quality could be sharper.
With the EU season over, I cancelled ESPN+, Paramount+ and Peacock. They are doing more to promote the Spanish language than any other initiative I can think of.

TUDN in theie Champions League broadcast is promoting the Nations League to be a VIX exclusive so it won’t be on Spanish TV but on their streaming service.

Great news for the people that are subscribed to upper tier Fubo packages, bad news for the other 98% or so of us. Not like we’re going to pony up $70 a month to see these. Paying about $20 a month now for countless matches so this makes no sense. I’ll either watch the daily highlight show or Vix. Hopefully Fubo goes out of business before Euro qualifiers start.

Disappointing, but big picture this tournament always had dubious value anyway. Still doesn’t feel like it means much. Know it can help for Euro qualifying but doesn’t seem like enough of an enticement except for the smallest countries.

This stinks. Screw Fox. But in a ways shame on ESPN too for wasting so much money on La Liga. They will probably be losing more content than gain in the future. My fear one day is that La Liga will be the only soccer left on ESPN Plus. Which stinks as that is the one legaue have no interest in.
