Paramount+ offering 25% off annual plan

In a deal that has flown under the radar, Paramount+ is offering 25% off its annual plan right before the Champions League returns.

An annual subscription to Paramount+ is usually $49.99. However, you can get twelve months of Paramount+ for $37.50 if you sign up before Monday, September 5. That’s just in time before the UEFA Champions League returns on Tuesday, September 6.

You can watch every single game of the Champions League on Paramount+. And per our report, CBS Sports are bringing back all the major talent as well as adding Ray Hudson to the crew.

1. To get the savings, first activate the special offer. Then click the ‘Try It Free’ button, you’ll see the following page that explains the two choices you’ll find. Click ‘Continue’ to be presented with the options:

Has anyone got the correct link to this discount? The link within the piece isn’t offering the discounted price.

It’s for residents in the United States only. When you get to the screen that asks for a promo code, enter MORESPORTS

I used it this morning myself to get a 25% discount for the next 12 months, so it works.

Thanks Chris. My fault, I didn’t read that far down! It worked for me.

So what benefits do long time annual subscribers get? Hmmm

I wonder if both Paramount and Peacock smell a chance with D+ going up. I wish I could take advantage of it. I have the kids factor that locks me into D+. Wife likes Hulu too.

Might violate my pay for 1 streaming service at a time policy though if Peacock is $2 a month and I can get World Cup games. (dont care about commentary language). Its more of the World Cup and less the EPL that appeals me to Peacock right now.

Paramount deal looks good. But timing is not right.

I wonder as well if P+ and Peacock see opportunity as a big competitor raises prices. Peacock has much lower paid subscriber numbers and may have greater need to experiment
      .
I tested Peacock for Spanish-language coverage of Chivas. It was solid, including pregame, game, and postgame. Peacock will reportedly carry the full World Cup live in Spanish. If that is all you need, perhaps sign-up November 20 for the monthly plan, cancel before December 20, and enjoy lawful, live access to Spanish coverage of all World Cup games for $5

Interesting points there. You are right no doubt! I dont speak a lick of spainish myself. So the the pre game stuff does not mean much. You got USMNT centered YT channels like 11 Yanks, Tactical Manager, Best Soccer Show, that will have pre game, half time and post game analysis covered. And I can watch the game on peacock…in theory. I will probalby lock in the $2 plan before Sept ends.

Interesting that Paramount+ are discounting. The Q2 2022 earnings release shows strong growth in Paramount+ subscriber numbers. Reading between the lines, P+ likely has higher ARPU than ESPN+ but lower ARPU than Hulu/Disney Bundle
    .
    * 43 million paid subscribers to Paramount+, up ~4 million
    * 64 million global paid DTC subscribers, up ~1 million (up ~5 million ex-Russia)
    * $800 million per quarter of DTC subscription revenue (~$4 per DTC subscriber per month, likely higher for Paramount+/US)
    * $400 million of DTC advertising revenue (~$2 per DTC subscriber per month)
    * Operating loss for DTC of ~$450 million (~$1.8 billion annualized)
    * Operating profit for Linear of ~$1.4 billion (~$5.5 billion annualized)
