    Chris,
It looks like CBS Sports is showing the St Mirren vs Celtic game on Sunday, September 18th

Is tomorrow’s Old Firm available on Paramount + in the US? Or just CBS Sports Network?

      CBS Sports Network only

Guessing y’all just haven’t updated the schedule yet, but Rangers and Celtic both being shown on CBS Sports Network this weekend, per my DirecTV guide.

    • Christopher Harris

      July 29, 2022 at 12:43 pm

The schedule is now updated. CBS was late in getting the information to us, hence the delay. Thanks for your patience.

Not sure how to start a new comment, so I will reply here:

Anyone happen to know why Dundee/Celtic isn’t showing up on either ParamountPlus or on my YouTubeTV recordings of SPL on CBS Sports Network? The former I get because P+ is slow with replays, but weird that it was apparently not on the linear channel.

      • Christopher Harris

        August 28, 2022 at 4:03 pm

It was live on CBS Sports Network this morning at 7AM ET but not on Paramount+. Not sure why YouTube TV isn’t making it available on demand.

          August 28, 2022 at 4:19 pm

Thanks! It must be a YT problem. Didn’t know P+ wasn’t carrying all of the matches.

          September 3, 2022 at 1:52 pm

This week again no luck recording an SPL match via YouTubeTV, this time the Old Firm. I assume this is a YT problem, and of course there is no way to report the error. Is this why YT TV doesn’t appear on WST’s listings?

            September 3, 2022 at 5:25 pm

We’re not a fan of YouTube TV. I’ve used it in the past but it ended up being too expensive and not as soccer-centric as other streaming services.

    Chris,
Thanks for all of the updated information.
Paramount + does not appear to have updated their schedule yet, either on their web page or on their Roku app. They still show only the upcoming Scottish Championship games. CBS Sports however does appear to have their schedule updated. Your up to date schedule is much appreciated.

  5. Bill Shields

    April 14, 2022 at 10:02 am

    Chris,
Now that the updated game schedule has been released, is there any news on the Paramount+ schedule for those last five playing dates?
I would assume that they would at least have the Celtic vs Rangers game, and hopefully some of the other away games for both of those teams.

    • Marc

      April 14, 2022 at 11:28 am

Very disappointed with the SPFL coverage on Paramount Plus. Last weekend there were three derby’s, the hell with the Old Firm, and not one was shown.

      • Gersrd

        April 14, 2022 at 6:49 pm

The “old firm” died when Rangers were liquidated in 2012. Charles Green purchased the body parts of the old club, renamed them The Rangers, but legally the club us known as Sevco Scotland.
It is now called the Glasgow Derby.

        • Toronto bear

          September 2, 2022 at 9:29 pm

Actually you will find the club was purchased before the old owners were liquidated and as for they now called the rangers we were always called the rangers fc and if you look back you will find match programs with this on it..also the fact that all governing bodies including uefa have stated the club is still the same doesn’t do it for celtic fans who have changed there names so many times over the years and were known as Pacific shelf when Fergus bought them before changing back to celtic .so do you’re homework first..and to be honest no rangers fans actually care about the old firm right and would rather not be linked to you’re lot in anyway .just remember we are the original team from Glasgow and you are just a side show

    January 26, 2022 at 6:59 pm

    Chris,
It looks like CBS Sports is also scheduled to broadcast next Wednesday’s old firm derby at 2:45pm ET.
And still no game from this weekend’s interesting slate of fixtures.

    • Christopher Harris

      January 26, 2022 at 7:36 pm

Thanks Bill. Nice find! I’ll let WST’s programming team know so they can update the schedule.

  7. Bill Shields

    January 17, 2022 at 7:42 pm

    Chris,
My mistake, it is the customary midweek KO time.
And, as you show, that game has now been rescheduled for tomorrow
Does Paramount+ have the Scottish FA Cup? It looks like no games are scheduled to be shown this weekend. Perhaps that competition is still on ESPN+.
I wonder if Paramount are aware that there is now a full slate of SPFL games on Wednesday, January 26 and Saturday, January 30.
Do you know if they plan to show the February 2 Celtic vs Rangers clash? It would be unusual for that game not to be shown.

  8. Bill Shields

    December 20, 2021 at 8:44 pm

    Chris,
You may wish to check your KO time for the January 2nd Game between Rangers and Celtic.
I suspect it should be 5am EST. You may also wish to look at your KO time for the Aberdeen vs Rangers game on December 29th.

    • Christopher Harris

      December 21, 2021 at 7:25 am

Cheers Bill. So far, it looks like Aberdeen vs. Rangers is still 2:45PM ET and hasn’t changed yet.

    December 15, 2021 at 10:37 am

    Chris,
I just happened to check their schedule again, and in addition to the games you have listed, they also appear to be broadcasting Sunday’s Premier Sports Cup Final between Hibs and Celtic.

  10. Bill Shields

    December 14, 2021 at 11:41 am

    Chris,
It looks like earlier today they posted games for this weekend and next weekend.
But I suspect they do not realize that there are games scheduled for this midweek and next. A pity they do not have someone knowledgeable in charge.

    • Christopher Harris

      December 14, 2021 at 12:30 pm

Hi Bill, I checked with Paramount+ and they’re not showing the midweek matches this week or next week.

Don’t forget, their matches are part of the 85+ SPFL matches that CBS Sports will present across its platforms this season inclusive of the Premiership, Championship and Premier Sports Cup. So it won’t be as many games as we would like, ideally.

  12. Bill Shields

    December 7, 2021 at 6:17 pm

    I certainly hope so too.
    Thanks for the reply, Chris.

  13. Bill Shields

    December 6, 2021 at 1:23 pm

Currently Paramount+ does not show any SPFL games for December. This is rather unusual as both members of the ‘Old Firm” have multiple away games, plus there is the Premier Sports Cup Final on the 19th. Do you know if the schedule has just not been updated?

    • Christopher Harris

      December 7, 2021 at 8:16 am

CBS Sports have been slacking recently with their schedules. So many leagues, so many games. Hopefully they’ll update them soon. As soon as we find out, we’ll update our schedule on this page.

  14. Bill Shields

    November 18, 2021 at 3:47 pm

Note also that Paramount+ is showing both of this weekend’s Scottish League Cup semi finals.

  15. Bill Shields

    October 24, 2021 at 2:35 pm

I wonder if Paramount + are aware that Wednesday, October 27th is a full match day. They do not have any broadcast scheduled, and the Hibernian vs Celtic game does look like a great choice. Plus it fits in with their usual broadcast choice of mostly away Rangers and Celtic games.

    Thank you Gaffer

  17. Christopher Harris

    September 29, 2021 at 2:28 pm

Hi Marc, since no one replied yet, the coverage is decent. A lot of the games feature commentator Ian Crocker. So far, from what I’ve seen, the games on Paramount+ are the match coverage but not much else beyond that. They’ve shown quite a few Scottish Championship games this season. My recommendation would be to try the 7-day trial and then that’s the best way to judge it.

  18. Marc

    September 28, 2021 at 8:18 am

Can anybody tell me how the SPL coverage is on Paramount? I did not subscribe to it because by the schedule it looked like they were only showing the Sunday lunch time match. Are they showing the Championship? I was disappointed when ESPN+ did not renew and did not want to subscribe to something new, but I am missing the Scottish League. The highlights on Youtube are not very good, plus there are spoilers. Thank you in advance.

Will a replay of Old Firm be up on P+ by 12pm EST?

  20. Bill Shields

    August 12, 2021 at 12:13 am

    Chris,
This afternoon Paramount+ had three Betfred Cup games listed to be shown this weekend under the SPFL link.

  21. Bill Shields

    August 8, 2021 at 11:39 pm

Is Paramount+ showing any of next weekend’s Betfred Cup (Scottish League Cup0 games?
There is nothing on their current schedule.
Also it appears that Paramount+ is showing even fewer SPFL games than ESPN+ did last year.
Any idea why this is the case?

  22. @R0boCop1888

    July 27, 2021 at 1:45 pm

Initially they were negotiating a 5 year deal, but that fell through at last minute, ESPN+ only secured SPFL rights for Season 2020/21. I noticed that Paramount+ had a section for SPFL showing last week, but this has been removed, I am hopefull that this will be updated prior to kick off on Saturday

  23. Bill Shields

    July 26, 2021 at 10:03 pm

Any news on ESPN’s upcoming coverage of the Scottish premier league. I thought they had signed a five year deal. Also will ESPN carry the upcoming Scottish League Cup games on the weekend of August 14th and 15th? They did cover that competition last year.

  24. JP

    July 26, 2021 at 3:19 pm

@Christopher. Thank you. Yes I watch all 3 matches shown from Belgium and were absolutely fantastic. Picked up right where it left off when they sucked me into the playoffs end of last campaign. Fun league! Great to have some crowd atmosphere for club matches again too.

  25. Christopher

    July 26, 2021 at 12:35 pm

JP, the Belgian pro league is on ESPN +, they showed the Super Cup a few weeks ago and three games this weekend. all of them good.

With the Danish league, apparently they are being grouped with a bunch of other european leagues rights to be sold and the announcement on that is apparently in August . I found that by searching on Google. It’s a way for a bunch of leagues to make money and get a lot of exposure. It was also a way according to the agency that is handling those rights, to make sure football is shown through the summer and winter as some leagues finish or take long break through the winter such as Iceland, Norway and Latvia (All which are included in this rights deal) You can search Google and find the information. That bad part about this is that the Danish League has already started and the Polish league has already started (which was one of the European leagues included in this deal.)

  27. JP

    July 15, 2021 at 10:38 am

Gaffer, is Eredivisie, Belgian Pro League, and Danish Superligaen in negotiations too?
None of these are listed in ESPN+. Know Eredivisie was due for another contract starting this season, but the news release when ESPN got the Belgian Pro League last season indicated it was for 5 years.

  28. Marc

    July 15, 2021 at 7:42 am

    • Christopher Harris

Just a quick correction to the listings, Raith Rovers are actually playing Dundee not Dundee United today, and they are both currently Scottish Championship clubs. Still a ways to go for either of them to actually win the playoff and burst through into the top flight. See you on ESPN+ in a few minutes. Thanks for carrying this, ESPN+ and for listing it, WST. Up the Dee!

Bart: “I literally signed up for ESPN+ just because of SPFL. Might as well cancel next month.” Sorry to hear that but totally understandable. I’m missing the Scottish league too, but that said, there’s a lot of good stuff on the Plus service for a very fair price so I’m staying, whereas to watch the EPL you get royally fleeced just to get jacked around. Shout out to Worldsoccertalk too, they are kinda caught in the middle of all the weirdness but that’s what they signed up for creating this useful & informative site, hope it’s worth their while and that Chris and crew can put food on the table. The pod does tend to paint the dissatisfaction with NBCSpts/Peabrain as first worlder problems when there are numerous legitimate reasons for people being upset but that’s a topic for other threads.

CBS has rights from Group Stage onwards. Rights to qualifying games are sold on an individual basis by clubs.

I did not see Scottish Premeriship listed in BR Live’s listing of Soccer competitions for their recently-introduced 9.99 per month pass (annual soccer pass is discontinued). They listed these competitions:

      • Patrick

        July 6, 2020 at 5:02 pm

        -UEFA Champions League
        -UEFA Europa League
        -UEFA Youth League
        -BVB World (Borussia Dortmund)
        -Liverpool FC 2019 Friendlies
        -LFCTV
        -Arsenal TV
        -Spurs TV

I thought Turner had lost the UEFA competitions but it’s possible they only opted out of the broadcast rights and kept the streaming rights.

Just want to add to the chorus of “B/R Live and Turner in general is horrible”: I’m trying to watch the replay of Rangers/Hamilton and of course it will not load (yes, I did all the technical stuff). I think it is the fourth time I have tried to watch something on B/R Live and was unable to do so either for technical reasons or because they provided the final score. At this stage, I;m convinced that Turner wants this to fail, for so reason or another. No one is this incompetent.

Will the Scottish League Cup really be on GolTV? According to this page (https://support.live.bleacherreport.com/Answer/Detail/94?_branch_match_id=535820962675600315), B/R Live also has the rights to it and will show 10 matches this season (there are only 15 left).

We’ll have to wait and see as we get closer to the August 18 date. Currently, GolTV is scheduled to televise one or more of the games. We’ll see if they’re live or on tape delay.

As of right now, B/R Live doesn’t have any Scottish League Cup games listed that will be streamed, but I’m sure that’ll change as we get closer to the date.

So B/R live have the rights supposedly? Unclear how to watch though. You have any guidance Chris?

Right now, B/R Live will be streaming one game from the opening weekend from August 4-5 (Aberdeen-Rangers). More games could be added soon.

    Hi guys,
I’m on holiday in Washington DC and keen to watch the Scottish League Cup final between Celtic and Motherwell on Sunday 26th November. I checked the Fox Soccer pass schedule and it’s not on there, any other ideas? I’ve emailed Celtic tv and am awaiting a reply. I have a BT Sport app but it won’t play outside the US.

No news has been announced yet regarding who (if anyone) will broadcast the Scottish League Cup final on US TV. It could be GolTV or FOX Sports, but your best bet is to bookmark this page and we’ll update the TV schedule as soon as we find out the details.

One option is to consider a VPN so you can log into your BT Sport app from the US. More info about that can be found at https://www.worldsoccertalk-wp.futbolsites.dev/vpn-soccer

Hi Robert, the only way to watch the games is by signing up to stream games directly from the clubs. There’s no news on the TV front. Maybe next season.

Thanks Christopher,I appreciate the reply and the time it took you.
Although I find it strange there’s no channels showing it,I could be wrong, but I think this is very marketable game, that means money and these days I would’ve thought there would be coverage.

        Appreciated,grazie molto?C’mon The Bhoys HH

Unless there’s a last minute TV deal done, all of the games will only be available directly from each club’s streaming platforms (if they have one).

No word from the Scottish Premiership on US TV rights. It looks like FOX has passed on the opportunity to show the league, but anything can change.

I subscribe to Fox Soccer Match Pass (Previously Fox Soccer 2Go), and I emailed them to ask if they would show Scottish Premiership matches in the 17/18 season. They said they would not. Do you know who will show them in the USA?

Hi what channel in Philippines is showing the Celtic game on Saturday.

    • Christopher Harris

      September 5, 2016 at 10:11 am

Niall, your best bet in the Philippines will be to watch the game live via Celtic TV online at http://www.celticfc.tv/

      • Daniel

        September 5, 2016 at 4:42 pm

Rangers TV will allow you to watch the match for around 440 pesos, but Celtic TV will charge around 800 pesos. If you can deal with the pro-Rangers commentary, Rangers TV is a much cheaper option.
