Not sure how to start a new comment, so I will reply here:
Anyone happen to know why Dundee/Celtic isn’t showing up on either ParamountPlus or on my YouTubeTV recordings of SPL on CBS Sports Network? The former I get because P+ is slow with replays, but weird that it was apparently not on the linear channel.
Christopher Harris

This week again no luck recording an SPL match via YouTubeTV, this time the Old Firm. I assume this is a YT problem, and of course there is no way to report the error. Is this why YT TV doesn’t appear on WST’s listings?

We’re not a fan of YouTube TV. I’ve used it in the past but it ended up being too expensive and not as soccer-centric as other streaming services.

Chris,
Thanks for all of the updated information.
Paramount + does not appear to have updated their schedule yet, either on their web page or on their Roku app. They still show only the upcoming Scottish Championship games. CBS Sports however does appear to have their schedule updated. Your up to date schedule is much appreciated.

Chris,
Now that the updated game schedule has been released, is there any news on the Paramount+ schedule for those last five playing dates?
I would assume that they would at least have the Celtic vs Rangers game, and hopefully some of the other away games for both of those teams.

Very disappointed with the SPFL coverage on Paramount Plus. Last weekend there were three derby’s, the hell with the Old Firm, and not one was shown.

April 14, 2022 at 6:49 pm
The “old firm” died when Rangers were liquidated in 2012. Charles Green purchased the body parts of the old club, renamed them The Rangers, but legally the club us known as Sevco Scotland.
It is now called the Glasgow Derby.

September 2, 2022 at 9:29 pm
Actually you will find the club was purchased before the old owners were liquidated and as for they now called the rangers we were always called the rangers fc and if you look back you will find match programs with this on it..also the fact that all governing bodies including uefa have stated the club is still the same doesn’t do it for celtic fans who have changed there names so many times over the years and were known as Pacific shelf when Fergus bought them before changing back to celtic .so do you’re homework first..and to be honest no rangers fans actually care about the old firm right and would rather not be linked to you’re lot in anyway .just remember we are the original team from Glasgow and you are just a side show

Chris,
My mistake, it is the customary midweek KO time.
And, as you show, that game has now been rescheduled for tomorrow
Does Paramount+ have the Scottish FA Cup? It looks like no games are scheduled to be shown this weekend. Perhaps that competition is still on ESPN+.
I wonder if Paramount are aware that there is now a full slate of SPFL games on Wednesday, January 26 and Saturday, January 30.
Do you know if they plan to show the February 2 Celtic vs Rangers clash? It would be unusual for that game not to be shown.
Christopher Harris
January 18, 2022 at 7:31 am
Yes, the Scottish FA Cup (aka Scottish Cup) will be shown on ESPN+ this weekend, including the match involving non-league Auchinleck Talbot against Hearts.

December 14, 2021 at 12:30 pm
Hi Bill, I checked with Paramount+ and they’re not showing the midweek matches this week or next week.
Don’t forget, their matches are part of the 85+ SPFL matches that CBS Sports will present across its platforms this season inclusive of the Premiership, Championship and Premier Sports Cup. So it won’t be as many games as we would like, ideally.

December 6, 2021 at 1:23 pm
Currently Paramount+ does not show any SPFL games for December. This is rather unusual as both members of the ‘Old Firm” have multiple away games, plus there is the Premier Sports Cup Final on the 19th. Do you know if the schedule has just not been updated?
Christopher Harris
December 7, 2021 at 8:16 am

I wonder if Paramount + are aware that Wednesday, October 27th is a full match day. They do not have any broadcast scheduled, and the Hibernian vs Celtic game does look like a great choice. Plus it fits in with their usual broadcast choice of mostly away Rangers and Celtic games.

September 29, 2021 at 2:28 pm
Hi Marc, since no one replied yet, the coverage is decent. A lot of the games feature commentator Ian Crocker. So far, from what I’ve seen, the games on Paramount+ are the match coverage but not much else beyond that. They’ve shown quite a few Scottish Championship games this season. My recommendation would be to try the 7-day trial and then that’s the best way to judge it.
Marc
September 28, 2021 at 8:18 am
Can anybody tell me how the SPL coverage is on Paramount? I did not subscribe to it because by the schedule it looked like they were only showing the Sunday lunch time match. Are they showing the Championship? I was disappointed when ESPN+ did not renew and did not want to subscribe to something new, but I am missing the Scottish League. The highlights on Youtube are not very good, plus there are spoilers. Thank you in advance.

July 27, 2021 at 1:45 pm
Initially they were negotiating a 5 year deal, but that fell through at last minute, ESPN+ only secured SPFL rights for Season 2020/21. Christopher
July 26, 2021 at 12:35 pm
JP, the Belgian pro league is on ESPN +, they showed the Super Cup a few weeks ago and three games this weekend. all of them good.
With the Danish league, apparently they are being grouped with a bunch of other european leagues rights to be sold and the announcement on that is apparently in August . I found that by searching on Google. It’s a way for a bunch of leagues to make money and get a lot of exposure. It was also a way according to the agency that is handling those rights, to make sure football is shown through the summer and winter as some leagues finish or take long break through the winter such as Iceland, Norway and Latvia (All which are included in this rights deal) You can search Google and find the information. That bad part about this is that the Danish League has already started and the Polish league has already started (which was one of the European leagues included in this deal.)

Bart: “I literally signed up for ESPN+ just because of SPFL. Might as well cancel next month.” Sorry to hear that but totally understandable. I’m missing the Scottish league too, but that said, there’s a lot of good stuff on the Plus service for a very fair price so I’m staying, whereas to watch the EPL you get royally fleeced just to get jacked around. Shout out to Worldsoccertalk too, they are kinda caught in the middle of all the weirdness but that’s what they signed up for creating this useful & informative site, hope it’s worth their while and that Chris and crew can put food on the table. The pod does tend to paint the dissatisfaction with NBCSpts/Peabrain as first worlder problems when there are numerous legitimate reasons for people being upset but that’s a topic for other threads.

Just want to add to the chorus of “B/R Live and Turner in general is horrible”: I’m trying to watch the replay of Rangers/Hamilton and of course it will not load (yes, I did all the technical stuff). I think it is the fourth time I have tried to watch something on B/R Live and was unable to do so either for technical reasons or because they provided the final score. At this stage, I;m convinced that Turner wants this to fail, for so reason or another. No one is this incompetent.

Unless there’s a last minute TV deal done, all of the games will only be available directly from each club’s streaming platforms (if they have one).

Any chance one of the other networks pick it up. My team doesn’t have its own streaming service.

No word from the Scottish Premiership on US TV rights. It looks like FOX has passed on the opportunity to show the league, but anything can change.

I subscribe to Fox Soccer Match Pass (Previously Fox Soccer 2Go), and I emailed them to ask if they would show Scottish Premiership matches in the 17/18 season. They said they would not. Do you know who will show them in the USA?

Today’s Old Firm is on GolTV at 9:30am ET. However, GolTV is not on DISH. But you can watch it with a free trial to fuboTV at https://www.fubo.tv/lp/wst/

We believe it’ll be on FOX Soccer 2GO. The TV details haven’t been announced yet, but as soon as we find out, we’ll update the TV schedule.

Niall, your best bet in the Philippines will be to watch the game live via Celtic TV online at http://www.celticfc.tv/

Rangers TV will allow you to watch the match for around 440 pesos, but Celtic TV will charge around 800 pesos. If you can deal with the pro-Rangers commentary, Rangers TV is a much cheaper option.
