About Italian soccer schedules

The Italian soccer system mimics the other major leagues in Europe. Serie A is the top flight, represented by mainstay teams like Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Roma, Napoli and others. Beneath this, Serie B is the second tier, similar to England’s Championship.

We also have TV listings for Serie A teams playing in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, summer friendlies, domestic competitions such as the Italian Cup, and games featuring the Italy national team. Bookmark this page and return to it often. You’ll find the latest schedule of TV games, in many cases posted before the information is officially released.

Boring international break just about over, already looking ahead. Not an earth shattering slate of matches, but beats no club matches at all! Of all the EPL matches, only Arsenal/Spurs has any appeal to me but it’s 7:30am Saturday so will just bother checking the score/highlights.
    .
    Friday
    2:30pm Bayern v Leverkusen

    Saturday
    9:00am Napoli v Torino
11:00am Catch end of 9:30am Bundesliga window
    12:00pm Inter v Roma
2:00pm-3:00pm Few matches in this time frame that are of interest, Atletico MG/Fluminense (2:00), Club Brugge/Mechelen (2:45), Empoli/Milan (2:45), FC Twente/Vitesse (3:00). Not sure which will become the main focus

    Sunday
    7:30/8:30am Belgium/Netherlands combo before 9:00am Serie A, if up.
9:00am Lecce v Cremonese main focus, also interest in Sassuolo/Salernitana
11:00am 2nd half of Celta Vigo v Real Betis, possibly
    12:00pm Atalanta v Fiorentina
    2:45pm Juventus v Bologna

    Monday
    2:45pm Verona v Udinese

    Tuesday
3:00pm Ajax v Napoli, also interest in Club Brugge v Atletico Madrid

    Wednesday
    3:00pm Chelsea v Milan

    Thursday
    3:00pm Roma v Real Betis

International break on the horizon, ugh. Sunday is non stop action. Don’t even think NFL will be a consideration this week.
    .
    Friday
    2:45pm Salernitana v Lecce

    Saturday
9:00am Bologna v Empoli. Watched Empoli for the 1st time this season on Monday, and just as entertaining as last year. Haven’t given Bologna a shot yet.
12:30pm Valencia v Celta Vigo or Gladbach v Leipzig (more likely). Passing on the 12pm Serie A of Spezia/Sampdoria
    2:45pm Torino v Sassuolo

    Sunday
    8:30am PSV v Feyenoord
10:30am Catch the end of the 9am Serie A window if any results still in question
    11:00am AZ Alkmaar v Ajax (10:45 start).
    12:00pm Roma v Atalanta
2:00pm Catch the end of Standard Liege v Club Brugge if still close
    2:45pm Milan v Napoli
—3:00pm Flamengo v Fluminense. Casualty of the schedule, wish this was 6pm—

Milan-Napoli and the Madrid derby. Looking like a good Sunday.

Wow, completely missed on the Madrid derby! Milan/Napoli takes precedence but might check in at HT and end of the match as there’s that 15 minute difference.

Sunday crowded again because of the NFL return, Tuesday would be a nice time for Paramount+ to install a true Multiview feature
    .
    Friday
2:30/3:00pm Nothing jumping off the page today. Probably start with St Truiden v Standard Liege but possibly Girona v Real Valladolid will become the main focue, if I watch any soccer this afternoon

    Saturday
    9:00am Napoli v Spezia
11:00am Maybe catch the end of one of the 9:30am window Bundesliga matches.
    12:00pm Inter v Torino
2:00pm Maybe catch the conclusion of Ajax/Heerenveen (12:45 start)
2:45pm Sampdoria v Milan. If this goes as expected (Milan romp), then possibly go to Atleti v Celta Vigo

    Sunday
8:30am PSV v RKC Waalwijk as an appetizer before Serie A
9:00am Lecce v Monza. Pulling for Lecce, but if Monza is to meet my expectations of easily avoiding relegation, this is the time to get their 1st three points! They’ve had a difficult schedule with Napoli, Roma, Atalanta, and a better than expected Udinese (so far).
11:30am Freiburg v Gladbach as a prelude to lunch time Serie A.
12:00pm Lazio v Verona. If this goes as expected with Lazio in control, off to Belgium to the more appealing matchup
12:30pm Union St Gilloise v Genk. See above.
—1:00pm NFL. Will have to check in out of curiosity but will be monitoring the soccer for sure (so many commercials!) and possibly abandon NFL if the game goes as I expect.
2:45pm/3:00pm Juventus v Salernitana or Real Betis v Villarreal. La Liga match more appealing, but if Juve is in a tight match or losing will take enjoyment from that.

    Monday
    2:45pm Empoli v Roma, maybe

    Tuesday
3:00pm Rangers v Napoli. Also interested in Porto v Club Brugge, Liverpool v Ajax, and Bayern v Barca. Loaded match day.

    Wednesday
    12:45pm Milan v Dinamo Zagreb
    3:00pm Manchester City v Dortmund

    Thursday
    3:00pm Arsenal v PSV

Nice, it’s tough to keep the motivation to watch Brasileirao since Europe has been back. Needs to be a very tasty matchup in the 5-8pm window…Fluminense v Foraleza tomorrow has appeal because for some reason both clubs I’ve gravitated to this summer.
Gave the Argentine league a chance but couldn’t get into it, even a Boca/River match earlier didn’t do it.

Jam packed Saturday comes at the expense of making Sunday lackluster.
    .
    Friday
2:30/2:45pm Dortmund v Hoffenheim or Club Brugge v Cercle Brugge

    Saturday
    9:00am Fiorentina v Juventus
10:15/10:30am maybe catch end of Real Madrid/Real Betis or some of Ajax/Cambuur before the 12:00pm Serie A
    12:00pm Milan v Inter
12:30/12:45pm Maybe catch end of Real Sociedad/Atletico Madrid or FC Twente/PSV before 2:45pm Serie A
    2:45pm Lazio v Napoli
3:00pm Maybe catch end of Sevilla/Barcelona
6:00pm Athletico Paranaense v Fluminense (if not burnt out)

    Sunday
6:30/7:30am Portions of Cremonese v Sassuolo and/or Anderlecht v Leuven depending on wake up time
9:00am Spezia v Bologna. This window might be a skip.
10:00am Royal Antwerp v Westerlo. If Spezia/Bologna bores me
11:30am Manchester United v Arsenal. Watch the beginning and see if I get hooked
12:000pm Verona v Sampdoria. Depending on how much the EPL match keeps me interested
    2:45pm Udinese v Roma

    Monday
    12:30pm Monza v Atalanta
    2:45pm Torino v Lecce

    Tuesday
    3:00pm PSG v Juventus

    Wednesday
    3:00pm Napoli v Liverpool

    Thursday
    12:45pm PSV v Bodo/Glimt
    3:00pm Lazio v Feyenoord

Busy week, I’ll go today (Thursday) through next Thursday
    .
    Thursday
1:00pm FC Twente v Fiorentina – And monitoring the UCL draw that’ll likely still be ongoing.

    Friday
12:30pm Monza v Udinese – If Monza is to fulfill my top 10 projection, a win at home vs a mediocre Udinese club is a must.
2:45pm Lazio v Inter – Possible will switch to Charleroi v Club Brugge if this match fails to live up to the hype.

    Saturday
9:30am Bundesliga – No favorite match apparent yet, possible start with Schalke v Union and see how thing shake out.
12:30pm Juventus v Roma – On paper this is the choice, but through two matches Juve appears to be a bore once again, and Roma hasn’t lived up to my hype yet…losing Zaniolo won’t help. Long way of saying my attention may very well shift to Cremonese v Torino. Cremonese has been very entertaining so far to my surprise. Shocking they were able to bring in someone of Dessers’ quality.
2:45pm Milan v Bologna – Another I’m not too thrilled about, may catch the conclusion of Feyenoord v FC Emmen (2:00pm) if it’s close before starting this match.
6:00pm Fluminense v Palmeiras – Probably my match of the day. Pretty much a must win for Fluminense if anyone has a shot at stopping Palmeiras from cruising to the title.

    Sunday
    6:15am-8:30am – Depending on when I wake up and how matches are going, a Netherlands/Belgium medley of Ultrecht/Ajax (6:15), Gent/Royal Antwerp (7:30), and Excelsior/PSV (8:30)
12:30pm Union St Gilloise v Anderlecht – Don’t expect Verona/Atalanta to be all too competitive and Salernitana/Sampdoria would be interesting matchday 30 in a relegation battle, not matchday 3.
2:45pm Fiorentina v Napoli – Easily match of the day.

    Monday
4:00pm Valencia v Atleti – Unless ESPN puts Alejandro Moreno on this match…

    Tuesday
    12:30pm Sassuolo v Milan
2:45pm Inter v Cremonese – Depending on how it goes, Roma/Monza also possible for portions of this window.

    Wednesday
    12:30pm Udinese v Fiorentina – gets the nod over Empoli/Verona and Sampdoria/Lazio
2:45pm Napoli v Lecce – My favorite club vs the city where part of my family originated.

    Thursday
Atalanta v Torino – Expect this to be very good. Torino has looked better than expected given their losses of Brekalo and Pobega (and Belotti)

Looking ahead to next weekend, clear your Saturday for a fantastic Serie A triple header of Fiorentina/Juve, Milan/Inter, and Lazio/Napoli!!!!!!!!!!

Again, this is mostly for myself. Sunday is a sneaky very good day for La Liga
    .
    Friday
2:30pm Gladbach v Hertha Berlin – The 2:00 La Liga and 2:45 Belgian League matches less interesting to me
    4:00pm Sevilla v Valladolid

    Saturday
    9:30am Leverkusen v Hoffenheim
    12:30pm Torino v Lazio
2:45pm Sassuolo v Lecce – might follow some of the Mallorca/Betis that begins at 1:30
4:00pm Celta Vigo v Real Madrid – will likely catch the 2nd half

    Sunday
    7:30am Club Brugge v Kortrijk – if I’m awake
–8:30am and 10:45am Sparta Rotterdam/Ajax and RKC Waalwijk/Feyenoord. Too bad still no Eredivisie!!!—
    9:00am Leeds v Chelsea
    11:30am Athletic v Valencia – 1st half before 12:30 Serie A
    12:30pm Napoli v Monza
2:45pm Atalanta v Milan – will likely be monitoring the Atleti/Villarreal match that begins 1:30
–3:00pm Palmeiras v Flamengo – would watch if not so many other matches going on! Casualty of the schedule, Brasileirao should’ve made this the 5 or 6pm match, but seems like the Santos/Sao Paulo derby is their priority.—
4:00pm Real Sociedad v Barcelona – 2nd half, or all if Atalanta/Milan not competitive.

@JP I just wanted to say that I do love your passion for watching good matches and can easily take some of this away for consideration if/when I have some down time to find one to view.

You may have misunderstood me for one that is in love with a carrier (i.e. Comcast) … but it has nothing to do with the carrier — but with the league it carries and that I closely follow.

If I had more time, I would follow all the leagues – but for me… it’s more intriguing to deep dive into one league. I choose the PL because it is arguably the most competitive, and I love their stadium venues (the intimacy with its fans etc – Bundesliga is similar in this way) but more so because the available coverage for the PL is so in-depth with all the shows and podcasts to take in from the UK (ie I am into storylines, not just the matches). Plus, I think Englishmen have a great sense of humor.

However, I do like to keep up interest in other euro leagues as time permits.

      Thanks for the rundown above.

        August 18, 2022 at 12:26 pm

No worries, I would likely have become Serie A only by now if it weren’t for NHL keeping me tethered to ESPN+, so understand where you’re coming from. My viewing of La Liga viewing has plummeted since cutting the cord last year.
It was simply the ease of turning on the cable to beIN vs loading an app (on an older/slower device) and finding the match that made La Liga the go to vs Serie A for all except the morning window and the best of the best matchups afterwards. Now that they’re on equal footing (plus upgrading the equipment), Serie A has taken precedence in almost all cases. While Bundesliga is enjoyable, has always been filler for downtime in other leagues except for a few matchups a year (Bayern/Dortmund or Bayern/Somebody if the table is still close). Belgium and Eredivisie are very enjoyable, and watch(ed) those more than La Liga and Bundesliga combined I think last year, mostly because of where the matches fall on the schedule vs other leagues. But altogether, the amount I watch of these leagues and the priority would not make them worth the $10 a month (I’m still on $7 until next August) if not for NHL.

That is why Peacock should add other sports or leagues to their portfolio (have been saying MotoGP for a while now, NBC does have the rights!). I might sample more EPL if something else on the service drew me in, right now usually one match a weekend that might interest me, and usually on OTA via NBC or Telemundo so not worth subscribing for at the moment.

          August 18, 2022 at 1:48 pm

I believe it’s primarily the NHL and maybe LaLiga contract that has driven the ESPN+ price point up. It certainly comes at no surprise.

I have followed the NHL since I was knee high. I love the game, but I really dislike the NHL for several reasons. To quickly mention a couple: Their regular season point system (losing teams getting a point), their awful playoff format where two of the best teams can meet in the first round etc. The season is way too long and meaningless for teams finishing first or higher in the playoff standings. By the time the real season begins (playoffs), it’s time to hit the beach. But I digress.

@JP, I want to echo that these lists are great. I sampled a bit of Serie A relegation battles last year based on your suggestions
          .
It was recently confirmed that Peacock/NBC will split the Big Ten “B/C” rights package with CBS. NBC linear will take the night football game with simulcast on Peacock. There are a few Peacock-only football games, I think. Basketball is included in the deal and the NBC portion is slated for Peacock. I believe you are not a college sports fan, but looks like NBC may be in sports-acquisition mode for Peacock as you suggest

That Big10 deal is massive, they’re going to be like the NFL with almost every major network having games at predictable times. Fox early afternoon, CBS mid, and NBC primetime. Then with SEC going exclusively Disney 2024 have to imagine they’ll be ABC mid afternoon and possibly prime time with additional on ESPN. Kind of leaves the ACC and everyone else fighting for scraps in terms of exposure.

But the way it’s going there will probably be a ‘superleague’ where all the bigger schools compete, already see that with the ridiculous moves of UCLA and USC to the Big10. Surely Clemson and Florida State will be SEC at some point….then merge with Big10.

All the leagues finally in action. This is mostly for myself to look ahead and prioritize, the chance all these are actually watched are slim. Obviously heavy Serie A, but if anyone reads it and decides to check out a match they otherwise wouldn’t have because if it, bonus.

    Friday
2:45pm/3:00pm – Oostende v Gent and Osasuna v Sevilla. Will start in Belgium and probably have both on via multicast and eventuallyy choose whichever is more entertaining or compelling.

    Saturday
9:30am – Bundesliga, leaning towards Leipzig v Koln
12:30pm – Milan v Udinese, with an eye towards Sampdoria v Atalanta if it becomes uncompetitive
2:45pm – Lecce v Inter and Monza v Torino. Monza/Torino more enticing to me but have family ties to Lecce!
6:00pm – Corinthians v Palmeiras. Soccer fatigue might set in, but this match is on the radar.

    Sunday
7:30am – St Truiden v Anderlecht. In the off chance I’m awake will check it out, probably catch the end if the match remains close
9:00am – Nottingham Forest v West Ham. Check out this for a bit, see if Scamacca plays.
    11:30am – Cadiz/Sociedad, Bayern/Wolfsburg, Chelsea/Spurs. Will watch 1st half of one of these before 12:30pm Serie A
12:30pm – Fiorentina v Cremonese. If this becomes uncompetitive more likely to switch over to Belguim with Leuven/Brugge rather than Lazio/Bologna
2:45pm – Salernitana v Roma. This might be my pick of the round for Serie A.
6:00pm – Internacional v Fluminense. Soccer fatigue possible again, but Fluminense has become my adopted Brazilian club.

    Monday
    12:30pm – Hellas Verona v Napoli
    2:45pm – Juventus v Sassuolo
3:30pm – Real Betis v Elche. Check in 2nd half and see if entertaining.

Thanks to ESPN using Alejandro Moreno on the Sevilla match, this decision was made easy, sticking with Belgium!!

Great to have multiple leagues in action again. Was able to start the day (Friday) with Frankfurt/Bayern and shift over to Club Brugge/Zulte after Bayern went up 2 very early. Had the Brugge match PiP with Lecce’s Coppa Italia match and then exclusive for the conclusion of Club Brugge/Zulte once it was tied at 1. The Lecce match went wild and was able to catch the end and extra time…they (have ties to Lecce) unfortunately lost though. Hopefully Saturday and Sunday just as action packed. Then Serie A and La Liga next weekend!!!!!!

    Saturday
    9:30am – Gladbach v Hoffenheim
10:30 – Sure would be nice to be able to watch Fortuna Sittard v Ajax. Someone, anyone, pickup these rights!
    12:30pm – Dortmund v Leverkusen
    3:15pm – Torino v Palermo
    7:30pm – São Paulo v Flamengo

    Sunday
    8:30am – Vitesse v Feyenoord….again, would be nice to see this match…
    12:00pm – Hellas Verona v. Bari
3:00pm – Royal Antwerp v OH Leuven and/or Fluminense v Cuiaba (shouldn’t be too competitive) or Monza v Frosinone (interested to see Monza who’s been very active on the transfer market for a newly promoted club…Caprari, Sensi, Pessina, Cragno)
    6:00pm – Atletico MG v Athletico Paranaense

Club matches and Italia U17 match this week!!!
    Friday
2:45pm Torino v Roma. Roma should win to secure a Europa League spot.

    Saturday
2:45pm Atalanta v Empoli and Fiorentina v Juventus. Final Conference League spot on the line pending results for Atalanta and Fiorentina. Atalanta and Fiorentina should spoil results for both club.

    Sunday
6:25 Spezia-Napoli. Napoli will win their final match for Lorenzo Insigne. Forza Napoli.
11:00am Manchester City v Aston Villa and Liverpool v Wolves. I will keep switching back and forth depending by the results. City Should win the title but anything can happen?
12:00pm Inter v Sampdoria and Sassuolo v Milan. Paramount+ and CBSSN will have the first time in history a Golazo show for these two matches that will decide the scudetto. The Serie A needs this every time that matches are being played simultaneously.
1:00pm U21 Euro’s Italy v Luxemburg. This match will decide the group. Italy wins they get 2nd. They tie other results will be a factor. Italy should win to get 2nd place. Pio Esposito is money.

    Wednesday
3:00pm UEFA Conference League Final- Roma v Feyenoord. Roma will win and also go to the Europa League.

    Saturday
3:00pm UEFA Champions League Final- Liverpool v Real Madrid. Can’t wait for the match that everyone has been waiting for. Liverpool will win on Penalties.

Bittersweet weekend, with league play coming to a close.

    Friday
2:45pm Torino v Roma. Roma can secure a Europa League spot. I’m pulling for Torino to make Saturday more interesting.

    Saturday
2:45pm Atalanta v Empoli and Fiorentina v Juventus. Final Conference Leauge spot on the line pending results for Atalanta and Fiorentina, possible Europa League if Roma fails to beat Torino.

    Sunday
11:00am Manchester City v Aston Villa. Go City (I rather dislike Liverpool)
12:00pm Inter v Sampdoria and Sassuolo v Milan. Hoping for the win for Inter and slip up from Milan to dramatically hand the title to Inter
3:00pm Salernitana v Udinese and Venezia v Cagliari. I believe a draw secures Salernitana’s safety regardless of Cagliari’s result. Hope they close the deal and finish the improbable run to avoid relegation.

    Wednesday
    3:00pm Roma v Feyenoord

    Saturday
    3:00pm Liverpool v Real Madrid

    See you again in August!!!

    11:45am/12:00pm Chelsea v Liverpool and/or Verona v Torino
2:45pm Roma v Venezia (relegation implications, unless Salernitana win earlier and make this moot for Venezia)

    9:00am Napoli v Genoa

Salernitana and Venezia at noon today! Must watch if you like relegation battles. A win for red hot Salernitana amizingly gets them out of the relegation zone (with their next match against what would be their closest competition vs Cagliari on Sunday).

Loss or even a draw for Venezia almost surely ends their slight hopes (would be 6 points out of safety with 3 to play

@JP, thanks for the suggestion. I rarely watch replays but made an exception. Fun game given the stakes. I read many criticisms of Paramount+ replays. This one was flawless for me and available when UEL/UECL wrapped up (~4 hours after it had finished?). Just a few commercials before and halfway; they even deleted halftime!

Great! 3 hours after the match ended does seem a bit much though, they should get those up quicker

Is paramount still carrying games in Spanish? If so, is there a way to know ahead of time which games this is for? I see the Italian audio on most/all games but struggle to find Spanish and never see the alternate language option on the VOD either.

Best matches of the weekend I watched were Ajax/Feyenoord and Gent/Anderlecht.
Looked like we were about to get a real down to the wire Eredivisie title race between PSV and Ajax until late comeback ruined it.

The Roma/Lazio match was over before halftime so was able to see most of the Gent match.
Funny, ESPN seemed to forget to add the commentator feed until late in the 2nd half. The natural audio was nice! Gent now in the playoff qualification at the expense of Anderlecht and Royal Antwerp only 1 point ahead of each. Should be a fun last two rounds to sort that out.

El CLasico was another match basically over at the half, did stay until became 4-0 and hopped over to the Atalanta match and got to see teenager Cisse’s 1st career appearance and goal to win it.

Saw 2nd half of River/Boca. The audio mix was horrible, could not hear the crowd at all and announcers turned up much too loud. As for the match itself, was exciting and tense (Boca players needing security in riot gear escorting them off the pitch after it was over!).

Now we have another brutal international break. Forza Italia! Although won’t be too crushed if they fail to qualify for Qatar.

Noted if a match happens to fall within a top 5 for the weekend. Looks like a busy Sunday!

    Friday
    4:00pm Genoa v Torino

    Saturday
    10:00am Napoli v Udinese
    (1) 1:00pm Inter v Fiorentina

    Sunday
    8:30am Club Brugge v Genk
    (2) 9:30am Ajax v Feyenoord
    (3) 1:00pm Roma v Lazio
    (4) 4:00pm Real Madrid v Barcelona
    (5) 6:00pm River v Boca (admittedly the NYR/Carolina NHL game might get more attention)

    Honerable mentions
Union St Gilloise v Oostende (Friday 3:45pm)
Tottenham v West Ham (Sunday 12:30pm)
Sevilla v Real Sociedad (Sunday 1:30pm)
Gent v Anderlecht (Sunday 1:30pm). This would be top 5 if no time conflict with the Roma derby, will definitely be checking in during breaks and for the conclusion.

It was nice to see Marco from IFTV at that match and excellent coverage. Paramount Plus is doing a fantastic job and far exceeded my expectations when updating the rights for Calcio. The Italian SAP option is fantastic and by going to the LIVE TV section it’s their located in the top right corner and it works flawlessly. Excellent job. Maybe one day we can see Jim Nantz or both the NFL on CBS and the Paramount Plus studio work together on one match. I also love during pre-show for occasional match ups seeing the betting odds presented by Caesars Sportsbook. This gives fans to see the odds on tv and place their bets right away. Overall excellent job and keep up the fantastic work.

Must watch match today is NAPOLI at 10am. FORZA NAPOLI!!!

Difficult to find many matches to get very excited about this weekend. I’ll do a top 5 (in order of match day/start)…if I can find 5.

    1. Friday 2:45pm – OH Leuven v Union St Gilloise
Watch the Cinderella story from Brussels continue.

    2. Saturday 9:00am – Salernitana v Sassuolo
Salernitana desperate to avoid relegation and playing some attractive football (nothing to lose!). Sassuolo been a great watch since the slow summer/fall start to the season. This one should be exciting.

    3. Saturday 12:30pm – Manchester United v Tottenham
Good result for Spurs bolsters their chances of catching Arsenal for a UCL spot or at least qualifying for Europe. United loss seriously dents any aspirations they have of either with both Arsenal and Spurs having matches at hand over United and (if Spurs win) behind in points.

    4. Sunday 8:30am – Anderlecht v Royal Antwerp
Top 4 clash in Belgium, both looking to hold off a surging Gent and remain in the playoff qualification.

    5. Sunday 10:00am – Hellas Verona v Napoli
My favorite (non Napoli) Serie A club this year vs Napoli. Verona trying to get into Europe and Napoli trying to keep their fading Scudetto hopes alive.

    Honerable mentions.
Hoffenheim v Bayern Munich (Saturday 9:30am)
    Utrecht v PSV (Sunday 9:30am)
Real Betis v Athletic CLub (Sunday 11:15am)
    Torino v Inter (Sunday 3:45pm)
    Lazio v Venezia (Monday 3:45pm)

Did I say lackluster!? Wow what a drama filled weekend

Shocking results on Friday in Milan and Genoa

Salernitana/Bologna was actually a very entertaining match

Sassuolo/Fiorentina lived up the the hype (hype in my mind at least)

The Simeone show today in Verona

Ajax upset against Eagles, giving slim hope for an Eredivisie title race again

Late drama in Spezia got Roma off the hook (I tuned in 96th minute)

Insane penalties to give Liverpool a Cup win…tuned in when already 7 rounds deep during the lull before the main event to come….Lazio/Napoli!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a range of emotions in the second half. Napoli top of the table for now. Massive match next week vs Milan. Biggest match in Europe, even bigger than the Manchester derby

I think the disruption will be much less in Serie A than EPL precisely because of the high vaccination rate.

  41. JP

    January 6, 2022 at 7:08 am

Four matches postponed today because of Covid and Napoli would prefer there’s is called off too.

For everyone who was citing the high vax rate in Serie A vs the lower one in EPL as the reason for EPL positive cases, it makes no difference.

Leagues need to stop treating positive cases as the end of the world and let players play if healthy enough, which the vast majority are.

There’s enough data now proving Omicron is less severe, time to move on.

Side note, what a clown show in Australia with Djokovic.

@Ra, yes there’s midweek fixtures tomorrow and Wednesday before their break.
Nothing of note Tuesday but Verona v Fiorentina at 12:30pm Wednesday holds the most promise
Venezia v Lazio at 10:30am has potential, and Empoli v Milan at 2:45pm over Napoli v Spezia if forced to watch one at that time as a neutral (I’ll be on Napoli).

I just noticed that on ESPN+ regarding replays, score one for Paramount+, finally…..no longer a shutout in that mismatch

    December 20, 2021 at 5:15 pm

@JP The problem with ESPN+ is that they only make the more recent matches available. With that in mind, I recommend (from the newer ones):
    * Hertha – Dortmund (MD 17)
    * Wolfsburg – Köln (MD 16)
    * Dortmund – Bayern (MD 15)
    * Gladbach – Freiburg (MD 14) (1st half only)
    * Union Berlin – Leipzig (MD14)

@Ra, thanks for the project. I’ll limit to Serie A and go by date (if any jump to mind when looking back). All caps the matches which immediately stood out.

    8/21 Verona v Sassuolo
    8/29 Genoa v Napoli
    9/19 Verona v Roma
    9/25 INTER v ATALANTA
    9/25 Genoa v Verona
    10/16 Milan v Verona
    10/22 Torino v Genoa
    11/7 Venezia v Roma
    11/20 FIORENTINA v MILAN
    11/21 INTER v NAPOLI

    12/1 Sassuolo v Napoli

@Hans, lucky Mario Rui was out, the heart attacks are much worse with him.

I had the same black screen issue intermittently during the match and also during Atalanta/Roma yesterday. Also the volume for Dre and Matteo was inconsistent today. Too loud or too low. Didn’t have it for Torino/Verona (only other Serie A watched this weekend), maybe a problem when they simulcast with CBSSN?

  52. Hans

Indeed Napoli reminds me so much of Arsenal, given me heart attacks trying to play out of the back. They got better in the 2nd half but a missing big time their 1st team players.

@JP: the Flex device is for non-cable subscribers….how do you draw that with your conspiracy theory? UCL, UEL, UECL, Brazil/Argentine leagues are fine to stream live. There are different types of bugs on the Fire TV app – want to suggest that Amazon is trying to discourage streaming of P+ too? Ridiculous

Thank you for the answer C.H. The app is just awful on PS 4. It is ok on the mobile phone and tablet. Their menu for live games just shows NFL/College football. I had to create the MY LIST to easily access SERIE A games. I will not continue with the paramount plus subscription once the free trail is up. I need to keep the phone or iPad screen on to watch the games on the big tv. And the soccer games come out letterboxed. Other apps allow me to turn the screen off while watching movies, cartoons, etc… and with no letterbox sometimes.

    Matches of interest this weekend/week
Saturday full of great matchups, Sunday a bit weak. Only a few UCL matches that really mean anything. Have been viewing more La Liga again since the last international break, seems to be holding up.

    Today
2:45pm St Truiden v Union St Gilloise

    Tomorrow
8:00/9:00am Sevilla v Villarreal/Milan Salernitana (don’t expect the Milan match to be competitive)
    10:15am Barcelona v Real Betis
12:00/12:30pm Roma v Inter/Dortmund v Bayern (will stick with Dortmund v Bayern so long as Bayern doesn’t have their customary 5 goal 1st half whenever I watch!)
2:45pm Napoli v Atalanta (could be Napoli’s last day top of the table?)

    Sunday
    9:00am Venezia v Verona/Spezia v Sassuolo
    12:00pm Sampdoria v Lazio
    3:00pm Celta Vigo v Valencia

    Monday
12:30pm and 2:45pm Serie A if not busy with work

    Tuesday
    3:00pm Porto v Atletico

    Wednesday
    3:00pm Atalanta v Villarreal

    Thursday
12:45pm Napoli v Leicester (hoping for Napoli to bow out of Europa and focus on Serie A at this point)

Wow, Napoli seemingly playing better without Oshimen. Stylistically back to their 2017 Sarri era heights. They lose the great talent and target of Oshimen, but gain the interchange all over the pitch with the Mertens false nine. Best football I’ve watched all season (any league) these past two weeks.

Also, always felt Lozano should get the starts over Politano, this being proven the correct choice as well.

And right as I’m about to post this comment, Sassuolo scores….ha

@MIB, so Xfinity Flex compatibility with Paramount+ (specific to only Serie A streams?) so bad that Paramount+ just decided to pull live Serie A matches from that device?

Common thread seems to be Comcast potentially discouraging viewing of anything not EPL. They did something similar on cable with beIN when they actually carried it. Not HD and not allowed to authenticate to watch online.

ESPN+ probably doesn’t have any issues only because of ESPN’s clout and Disney+, Hulu, etc on the same platform.

@MIB Fan, I had issues with Paramount+ in a web browser, it’s concerning when they want you to “downgrade” your security settings. Makes you wonder what else they are trying to track…..
I use the CBS Sports App on AppleTV device instead of Paramount’s App.

  66. MIB Fan

    November 30, 2021 at 8:45 pm

I called up Paramount+’s customer service phone line with my issues. Here is what the rep told me:
    – Paramount+ app on XFinity Flex received so many complaints about the Serie A live streams that they removed live match streaming of Serie A. I needed to use a different streaming device to live stream Serie A matches

    – Live streaming on a browser with the strictest privacy/security settings will cause errors. You need to downgrade from the strictest settings to properly stream.

Not sure why there is so much excitement for Paramount+ to pick up EPL. Navigation is a bit hard to find live matches. You need to know which league is showing a match. Unless you add each league to your list, it’s hassle to scroll through all the leagues they hold rights to.

I’d say Peacock is closer to ESPN’s app. At least Peacock highlights EPL (and other big events) on the “home” screen – although Peacock is not perfect at doing that since some live sports will be hidden unless you search for them.

A year after my first trial with CBS All Access, I’m still not that impressed with Paramount+.

  67. Confused

    November 30, 2021 at 1:44 pm

Is there a reason why there this no option to watch live serie A games on the PS 4 console? I see the option on my other devices but not the PS 4. I have deleted the app on the PS 4 and restalled it but to no avail. It does say “STREAM MATCHES LIVE” . But they are no games to pick.

    • Christopher Harris

      November 30, 2021 at 6:37 pm

The Paramount+ app on PS4 hasn’t been updated in ages, so your best bet is to watch games through a different device or log into the Paramount+ website and watch them through there.

Fiorentina/Milan, insane. Bologna/Venezia, engrossing. Inter/Napoli, instant classic (even with the wrong result from my view!). Genoa/Roma, mostly blasé but then got to witness Afena’s coming out party and golazzo at the end.

We still have Verona/Empoli tomorrow, two under the radar clubs but immensely entertaining this year.

To me, what annoys me the most about Paramount is the lack of a decent rewind and the amount t of time they take to upload the games. Had to stop the Napoli game at 18″ today because of some errands. I want now (3pm) to watch the rest to no avail. The match hasn’t been posted yet. Paramount Plus is doing a fantastic job so far with their Serie A coverage especially having an Italian SAP option due to the fact the Rai Italia lost the Serie A rights this year. The stream is fluid and perfect in many ways. However, it’s a disappointment that not all streaming devices have an Italian SAP option available to them. I’m using a pc and so far all the matches have an Italian SAP options and the only ones we know that won’t are the matches being televised on CBSSN. Know by now Serie A is likely to overtake any other match at the same time, even if I “planned” on watching the other league. These are all possible ‘games of interest’, not necessarily following them all. Depends on how other matches at similar time slots are doing.

Another great weekend in Serie A. Napoli/Verona and Milan/Inter both great matches as expected. Udinese/Sassuolo was wild. However, were a couple matches that I didn’t expect to even watch that ended up being thrillers as well.

Empoli/Genoa (had on within an earshot) was a back and forth affair. Genoa very entertaining for a relegation zone club! Empoli not bad themselves, 1st time I’ve watched them this season. Then their was Cagliari/Atalanta, gripping match from start to finish.

La Liga also had some excitement. Turned on the Barca match right as Aspas scored his 1st and had it on within an earshot for the rest. Didn’t catch any of Valencia/Atleti live, but when I saw that score line made sure to watch stoppage time on the replay later.

Was watching Feyenoord but tuned out for Napoli and missed that stoppage time drama as well. Only 2 points off the top with a game in hand over Ajax and PSV (thanks to Ajax slipping up past two weeks). Great title race in the Eredivisie.

@Turfit, yeah my local team is blacked out all the time too, but less than 10 miles away so makes sense. But enjoying enough of the all the other games and getting my fill regardless. Carolina and Calgary have been my favorite to watch so far, but have multiple teams I enjoy following and can make do with listening to my team and catching the highlights later. For the playoffs will have to watch though.
Bally Sports is going to offer a streaming package of your local RSN? $25 seems steep, but if my local RSN offered streaming would gladly fork over $15 a month during hockey season. It’s really the only channel out of 300+ I was hesitant to lose when cutting the cord (no Fubo or anything either)

@JP, I’m there with you concerning La Liga, I’m surprised how little I watch too. I’m watching more French League on beIN than anything on ESPN+ except for college football. I have watched more Serie A matches this year because of Argentina’s league but I have noticed that TyC Sports on Fubo have been showing Boca Jr and River Plate’s matches (not in the TV guide). As far as NHL, my “local” team that is 2 1/2 hours away is almost always blacked out, even when the NHL Channel is broadcasting the game. But rumor has it that Bally Sports will offer a streaming package next year for around $25 a month, thinking I’m going to give it a pass also.

  96. JP

    October 28, 2021 at 10:14 am

Just a thought. Looking at my soccer viewing (expected and actual) for each week, becoming apparent Paramount+ is used much more than ESPN+ now, and ESPN+ would probably be in the “able to live without” category. Honestly surprised how little La Liga I’m watching now compared to when they were on beIN.

However, their NHL (mostly the out of market games) keeps them a must have. Paramount+ would be wise to diversify their exclusive sports offerings as well away from just soccer. Because right now, if they were to lose Serie A after 2024 and UCL remained available OTA through Univision, Paramount+ would be cast aside easily.

@JP, yeah overall a let-down of a day. Funny, the lesser-hyped matches seemed to deliver; Nice v Lyon saw a 3-goal comeback from Nice in the last 10-12 minutes after Lyon got yet another red. Brentford v Leicester was apparently a good one.

1st half of El Clasico was good, 2nd half a snooze until the last 5-10 minutes. Roma v Napoli was only interesting for Jose’s sideline tantrums. Didn’t see any of Juve. Marseilles v PSG was quite good and of course featured OM ultras acting like thugs. Atleti v La Real was a fun match start to finish.

  99. JP

    October 25, 2021 at 9:43 am

So much hype for yesterday, me included, and mostly didn’t pan out.

The end of Antwerp/Brugge that I caught was good, very intense. What I saw of Verona/Lazio before El Clasico began was also good. But, El CLasico largely uninteresting the half hour I watched. Ajax/PSV was a very good in the 1st half, but became uncompetitive quickly in the 2nd. That was almost a blessing, as was able to watch Roma/Napoli from the start without fear of missing out on something in the Netherlands.

The aforementioned Roma/Napoli match was a cagey affair, exciting at times, but probably not much if you were a neutral. Inter/Juve was a slog for the portions I saw, in and out most of the match. Juve really are a joyless experience.

Atleti/Sociedad seemed like it was a good match from the recap, also caught ends of 1st and 2nd halves live.

As for that huge EPL match, over before HT!

Barca are lower in the table than expected but they have played a match fewer than most and with Ansu back and Coutinho healthy are finally starting to look strong up front. @Barry, yes it was only an ESPN+ issue with the picture. While reading some of the complaints in real time through Twitter, people mentioned it was fine via streaming on ESPN if they logged in via cable credentials instead of their ESPN+ account, that it looked fine on ESPN via Youtube, Fubo, etc.
Everyone was complaining about the ESPN+ quality and mocking that the commercials came in perfect.
    – Whatever it was got corrected for the 3rd period in Tampa and the Vegas game was mostly glitch free

    October 13, 2021 at 10:43 am

@JP, I didn’t have any of the pixel or choppiness issues you mentioned. I did notice that the arena announcer in the Vegas game was so loud that it was hard to understand what the commentators were saying. I watched the games on ESPN via Youtube TV.

@dave, not sure about the UFC popups. Assume you’re talking about the mobile app, which I don’t use often. On Fire Stick and Apple TV it would be difficult to inadvertently buy UFC.

Last night’s NHL had many problems, problems not seen for the out of market streams during preseason, so must’ve been an issue with the ESPN produced game/stream. The Tampa/Pittsburgh game was very pixelated for the 1st two periods. Saw a lot of complaints online so wasn’t a connection issue, and other ESPN+ content was fine.
Others complained about audio issues (I didn’t experience), and choppiness on the stream (which I only experienced for the 1st period of Vegas/Seattle).

Hopefully they’ve worked out the kinks.

@JP, that is great information, thank you. ESPN+ must be the best deal in sports right now. I have no idea how they can offer so much top-flight product – soccer and many other sports – for $70/year. But I sure am enjoying it!
    .
Another question for you on ESPN+, is there a way to disable UFC PPV pop-ups? I get a little nervous about accidentally clicking the wrong place and getting charged $100 for a fight. I know UFC is a big driver for ESPN+, but it is not an interest of mine.

  119. JP

    October 12, 2021 at 7:02 pm

@dave, regarding ESPN+ and the NHL. Had been watching some preseason on it, all out of market was included (provided the game actually had a local telecast) except for games simulcast on NHL network or TNT’s national broadcast. Looked ahead a few days on the NHL app schedule and checked the upcoming games on ESPN+, same situation with out of market and NHL network/national TV exclusion.
As expected, except for the NHL network simulcast exclusion, think those were included for NHL.tv and definitely on the NHL Center Ice package.
Oh well, still amazing for the price I would’ve been paying already for soccer coverage anyway!
Expect to watch Montreal/Toronto Wednesday night and Pittsburgh/Florida on Thursday.

@JP, thank you for posting these. We follow different leagues (and get different enjoyment from international breaks) so it is fun for me to see what games you find intriguing.
    .
If you end up watching NHL rather than CONCACAF on Wednesday, I would be interested in any feedback especially on ESPN+ (all out of market games?) and Turner (is there a Turner NHL app?). On Wednesday, I will be watching USMNT-Costa Rica and Canada-Panama followed by El Salvador-Mexico. CONMEBOL qualifiers Thursday afternoon and evening. Liga MX resumes this weekend.

HATE international breaks, already looking ahead.

    Wednesday
7:30pm Canada v Panama (more interest in this than USA v Costa Rica). But will likely be watching NHL anyway over soccer.

    Friday

    Saturday
9:30am Bundesliga (Dortmund, Leipzig, or Wolfsburg)
    12:00pm Lazio v Inter
    2:45pm Milan v Verona

    Sunday
~8:00am-10:00am Eredivisie and Pro League. End of AZ Alkmaar v Utrecht and rest of St Truiden v Anderlecht (if on the ESPN+ schedule)
~10:00am-11:00am. End of 9am Serie A, whichever match most competitive/compelling.
    12:00pm Napoli v Torino
    2:00pm Real Madrid v Athletic (1st half)
2:45pm Juve v Roma (probably PiP with Real Madrid until 2nd half)

    Tuesday
    12:45pm Club Brugge v City
    3:00pm Atleti v Liverpool

    Wednesday
    3:00pm United v Atalanta

Here is my updated tentative schedule for the week:

3:00pm Atlético Madrid vs Barcelona -> Want to see how low Barca will go.
    Sun
7:00am Rennes vs PSG -> Will the trio improve? More Messi magic?
8:30am Ajax v Utrecht -> Ajax has been playing a very fine football
11:30am Bayern München vs Eintracht Frankfurt (PiP) ->always enjoy to see Bayern’s efficiency
12:00pm Fiorentina vs Napoli -> Who will beat Napoli?
3:00pm Chapecoense vs São Paulo (a non-relegation race) or Atalanta vs Milan (PiP)
4:00 pm River vs Boca -> a classic is always a classic, even if either is not in their best years

Here we go! Interesting, only have 2-3 matches anticipated to watch this week on ESPN+. Heavy on Paramount+
    .
    Friday
2:45pm Club Brugge v OH Leuven. Maybe, don’t expect this to be a tightly contested match

    Saturday
    9;00am Spezia v Milan
    10:30am Willem v PSV
    12:00pm Inter v Atalanta
    3:00pm Real Madrid v Villarreal

    Sunday
9:00am Serie A, don’t know which match will draw me in most
    12:00pm Lazio v Roma
    2:45pm Napoli v Cagliari
12:00pm and 2:45pm matches have some overlap with local football again, but expect to be following these more than the NFL as was the case last weekend.

    Monday
    2:45pm Venezia v Torino

    Tuesday
3:00pm Leipzig v Club Brugge. Know PSG v City will get all the hype, but want to see if Brugge can obtain points again and stay in the hunt to miraculously get out of this group or qualify for Europa.

    Wednesday
3:00pm Manchester United v Villarreal. Wolfsburg v Sevilla also enticing.

    Thursday
    12:45pm Napoli v Spartak

While fresh in my mind, here’s what I expected vs actually watched
    Friday
    2:45pm Sassuolo v Torino
    – Yup!

    Saturday
    10:15am Atleti v Athletic
    – Watched more of Genoa/Fiorentina than expected, but did see most of this as well. Underwhelming match until very late.
12:00pm/12:30pm Inter v Bolonga and Koln v Leipzig (either not a priority, may not watch at all)
    – Watched majority of1st half for Inter/Bologna. No 2nd half and no Leipzig.
    2:45pm Charleroi v Club Brugge
    – Yup!

    Sunday
    8:30am PSV v Feyenoord
    – Yup!
    10:15am Real Sociedad v Sevilla
    – Yes, but not actively
12:00pm Verona v Roma (local NFL at 1pm, may be multitasking)
    – Watched 1st half and conclusion of 2nd half as result of NFL game was a formality at that point.
2:45/3:00pm Juve v Milan and Valencia V Real Madrid (leaning towards the Madrid match as main, multitasking likely with 1pm NFL game as well for at least the beginning of this match if NFL not a blowout situation)
    – Had Juve/Milan as the main (Valencia PiP) and switched over to Valencia full for the last 20 minutes

  144. greg

    September 17, 2021 at 10:45 am

    For me (west coast time):

Friday – Half pay attention to Leeds v NUFC & Celta Vigo v Cadiz
Saturday – Busy day until noon, so can’t really watch much…maybe a bit of Wolves v Brentford, though Rayo Villecano v Getafe could be fun, and Athleti v Bilbao definitely will be. Watch some of Villa v Everton on delay
Sunday – West Ham v Man U, then PSG v Lyon live and Juve v Milan on delay. For some reason FUBO is not listing the Spurs v Chelsea match on their web interface.

@Michelangelo – I know that when DAZN (Italy) took Serie A in Italy that first year, there were a ton of complaints about their streaming service. I believe they have it again this year. I expect that we will see the same growing pains with Paramount+. At least ESPN+ had some experience streaming sports for a couple of years. In any case, I bought a Paramount gift card to see how the first couple of months go. My guess is that Paramount+ will not be able to improve in the next couple of days. They can’t get their streaming service right for the programs they currently show. I recently watched the German Super Cup on ESPN+ and it was smooth as butter (LOL). I’ll just have to give Paramount+ a try. FORZA NAPOLI!!

@GR- It’s upsetting but all we can do is pray to see what happens. It’s shocking to me that Paramount Plus still has no information on their website and this is very odd to me. How are customers supposed to know that they have the league. ESPN+ is doing an amazing job with their La Liga production and Serie A need to do the same. Serie A and Paramount need to work with Rai Italia to create the most authentic coverage possible. If Paramount didn’t figure this out during the Coppa Italia for their terrible stream their never going to learn. I hope that Paramount proves me wrong and creates the best Serie A experience ever. We need a Goalazo zone option similar to NFL REDZONE. Paramount needs something different to what ESPN Plus did and that might just be the trick to keep more subscribers. What do you want to see Paramount do for their inaugural Serie A season?

  155. GR

    August 18, 2021 at 12:40 pm

@Ivan, I was hoping ESPN+ would have paid to continue streaming the Serie-A matches. Never had any issues with them (app or tv). I’m worried Paramount+ will not meet the challenge, and force many of us to look for alternatives. Three years is a long time to wait for a new streaming provider. Serie-A must have been desperate to give the rights to a less than mediocre streaming service like Paramount+.

  156. Ivan

    August 13, 2021 at 12:32 pm

I’m not happy about this Paramount + is so a bad interface, clunky, absolutely mismanagement, CBS is the worst channel, not at all a great Sport Channel.
So Serie A is here, no advertisements, nothing is absolutely the worst Communication, the only reason I know, I was looking in the Internet Serie A game start, and I found this, horrible news.
I can’t understand they downplaying Serie A so much, 4 in raking, and has the most American owners for clubs, Fiorentina, Venezia and more.
I know they will mess this up, just watch, it will happen!!

  157. Michelangelo

    August 1, 2021 at 9:16 am

Hi Serie A fans why is Paramount plus not telling us that the Serie A is coming to their network? Their is a lack of communication from Paramount. No information on their website, advertisements, etc. Paramount needs to add a live sports section on their service, a favorite team tab, Serie A avatars, group watching, pause rewind and fast forward on a live broadcast, Serie A button, favorite players section, Golazo show broadcast for the Serie A when multiple matches are being played, Italian SAP audio option and Spanish, Games being televised on CBS and CBS Sports Network, highlights, legendary matches, documentaries, announcers such as Matteo Bonetti, Phil Schoen, Alessandro Del Piero, and Christian Vieri, They could also work with NFL on CBS during halftime show some highlight and some announcers could join for a Serie A match and vice versa, Paramount could also be interactive with the fans and say who is going to win the match, who will score today, what match they would like to see on CBS or their network channel. Paramount has unlimited options on what they can do but the most important factor is they need to listen to their fans especially us on worldsoccertalk. Thank you so much everyone for your comments and support. So Paramount Plus subscribers and Serie A fans what do you want to see on Paramount Plus for the Serie A? please add you suggestions and comments below. Thank you so much everyone for allowing me to be a member of worldsoccertalk and the greatest football community in the world. Thank you so much once again.

Steve, Usually on Sunday at 9am or when the games are played at 2:30 local times their are multiple matches being played at the exact same time so this is the main reason why we need The Goalazo Show (In Italia we have Sky Calcio Diretta Goal which is very similar to NFL Redzone). This is a must for Paramount Plus to succeed for American viewers watching Serie A. NFL Redzone and whip-around from all the different matches would change the Dynamic on how we watch the Italian Serie A, Champions League, and Europa League. Matteo Bonetti is also a must in the Serie A coverage this season on Paramount Plus and will be likely since he left ESPN according to Twitter. It would be awesome if they could implement what matches will be televised on CBS and CBS Sports Network. They could create a voting system to determine what the fans want to watch. In addition, they could also create a voting system by choosing man of the match on the Paramount Plus App. This is a long shot, however, this could be an amazing idea as well. Multi Language compatibility is a must and Disney Plus has thrived on this due to the fact the all the viewers don’t speak the English or Spanish Language. By adding Italian announcers to this platform it could be a possible merge with Rai Italia which creates 1080p streaming as well.

  159. Ra

    July 26, 2021 at 10:40 am

Paramount+ needs 5 things to become perfect for sports:
    1. Pause, rewind and start from beginning.
    2. On demand availability immediately after the end of the match.
    3. Multi-view and PiP support on AppleTV+
    4. A new section on the main page named Sports. Right now you have to find it under ‘TV shows’
    5. Multi-language capability

The investment to develop these should be minimal compared to the TV rights acquisition cost, and they should drive the % of recurring subscribers. They are already investing substantial greater amounts in offering theatrical releases to blockbusters and free movie tickets. Just received some from them.

Michelangelo, for the goals show i don’t think there will be any since there won’t be more than 2 matches playing at the same time.
for cbs sport/paramount+, for serie a coverage either in the studio or work in Italy, there’s one man if they bring him I guarantee without exaggeration he will get them “millions” of subscribers,
    one man: james richardson.

We need to see some matches on CBS and CBS Sports Network as well. I can’t wait for the Italian Serie A season to start. We need a Goalazo Show which I’ve been hearing is very similar to NFL Redzone in a way which shows a simulcast of all the different games on that match day with all the goals. We need this due to the fact the Italian Serie A’s success in Italy on Sunday morning matches were a success of Diretta Goal on Sky Italia which shows all the matches and all the goals switching from 6-8 different matches depending on the day. Paramount Plus need to find a way on how to make this happen. Thank you so much everyone and Forza Napoli!!!

A lot of questions need to be answered such as On Demand Service, Full Replays, Highlights, Shows, Pre-game, Postgame, SAP option in Italian, and Spanish, Commentators, CBS and CBS Sports hosting matches, and more. Thank you so much and Forza Napoli!!!

No Serie A match listed for today? Here or in the app? Again?

    Christopher,
I can’t yet find on the internet what Serie A games are on the ESPN stations (ESPN2, ESPNNews),
this season. The Serie A season of 2020-2021 starts the weekend of Sept. 18th, 19th, and 20th.
I assume that this season, like last season, that the ESPN stations will show one game each weekend.
Does anyone on this website know what the Serie A U.S. tv schedule on the
ESPN stations is for this September and October? Thanks.

Hi John, ESPN hasn’t made a decision yet what their schedule will be for the opening of the 2020/21 season. As soon as we find out, we’ll update the schedule on this page.

Is the Juventus vs Lazio game on regular ESPN or ESPN+ today?

Didn’t see any mention of what the tv ratings were for Roma lazio derby on 9-1, it’s impossible that it didn’t make your list . Looking at the poor ratings of the other games listed. Please let me know what that rating was. Thanks

ESPN is showing a Sunday Game at 11:45
am In the first week, and Lazio vs Roma in the 2nd Sunday on ESPN2 at 9:00 am. But, no Juventus game which is a shame.

The first line of your article says “During the 2019/20 season, will carry an average of nine matches live each week”.

Between “season” and “will”, what is missing there? ESPN+? I’m guessing that’s it, but on their schedule, they’re not showing any matches being on + at this point. Thanks.

You must have an ad blocker turned on which is why you’re not seeing the words. I’d recommend switching the ad blocker off. We don’t have any pop-up ads or annoying auto-play videos.

The Serie A schedule is correct as of press time. The only thing we’re not sure about for the opening weekend is which one match will be on shown on television on the Sunday.

ESPN stations, usually ESPN2 or ESPN NEWS, has the rights to the Italian Serie A for 2018-2019. They usually show one game per weekend.

No they didn’t . They can broadcast Juve tv with permission from the channel . Not like Fox who would not let ESPN show World Cup highlights .

Not sure if any updates here? Given big transfers going on, assuming more viewers would be there for Serie A.

Who has the Coppa Italia rights? GolTV did not show any of previous round, which included Serie A teams and NGSN is not around at the moment. It seems that Bein Sports have picked up the rights to the Supercoppa according to Live Soccer TV, so maybe they have them?

    • Soccertvblog

      December 12, 2016 at 4:20 pm

beINSports had the Coppa Italia rights in the past but did not renew for last season (2015-16). GOL-TV picked up the rights last season but only for the Semifinals and Final. Seems that no one has picked up this season’s rights (again) but wouldn’t be surprised if GOL-TV does for the late rounds.

As far as Supercoppa, it will be played in Qatar next week (Friday, December 23rd) and it will be shown live on GOL-TV (kickoff: 11:30am ET).

We should know by late December. As soon as we find out, we’ll update the TV schedule accordingly.

Hi you all! A simple question, what is the commentary language of fubo.tv matches? I know beinsports has a mixed Arabic/English commentary, does the same happen on fubo.tv?
    Thanks Alex

    • Christopher Harris

      August 14, 2016 at 7:22 pm

For Serie A matches, almost all of the matches are in English language. It’s very rare that they’re in Spanish. They’re never in Arabic.

What US outlet will broadcast 2016 Coppa Italia Final?

    Thank you.

    • Christopher Harris

      April 5, 2016 at 4:04 pm

It was going to be NGSN, but they are temporarily down until this summer. So, right now, the Coppa Italia final is up in the air in terms of where it’ll land on TV or internet.

          May 17, 2016 at 5:09 pm

Right now, as of press time, no one in the US plans to show it on TV or streaming. But that could change between now and Saturday. As soon as I find more info, I’ll update this page.

Joe, Brasileiro matches on Saturday at 5:30pm & 8pm. Your provider probably has not updated the guide yet. The match is confirmed via GOL-TV website.
