well only thing i have to say to you guys is that you evertonians and manure fans, should take a good look in your own garden,, mayonese moyes has done shit with everton since he took over, but i guess the blue half of liverpool is simply satisfied with life in the lower part of prem league,, as for you ures from man,, look into your own future, for what i am reading it doesnt look that good, selling oldy trafford and rooney to clear up your owners shit. us, we are going through a shitty time no doubt about that, but we will bounce back next season,, dont you guys worry about that YNWA you pricks,, YNWA

    Pompey Blue…

Thanks for the reality check. You’re spot on. I truly hope that things get better for your lot. And we thought our owners were bad…At least they surface every once in awhile, even if it’s just to tell us to “f” off.

From now on Benitez should make liverpool win, whether he will let the new Athletico Madrid player show his skills and make the supporters happy in new year.He should not be stubborn any more.
Hope liverpool fans will be happy in this week end.Players also need luck too.
Must try hard to get into top 4.Don` t try to sell Yossi.

As an ardent LFC supporter I can certainly see the humor in other teams supporters gloating a bit over the ills that have befallen LFC but come on, you all must really have zero confidence in your own teams if this makes you that happy. I actually am getting more joy reading some of the ridiculously stupid comments made after the reds suffer another setback than I will when they turn it around, as they always do, before the end of may.
I love the original Manc retorts, usually sing songing their way through a stale version of our famous songs dressed up with their own sarcastic put downs. Blah, Blah, Blah… funny thing is, we’re bad this year…so bad we beat U. Oh, and we’re going the way of Leeds? Good one…and Jack Madoff is expressing interest in your bond issue…just as soon as he gets out of prison.
Everton? Right then…..Next, come on, every one of your teams is two results, and in some cases, one result from complete crisis. That includes you Chelsea. Look at Arsenal. Before Saturday they were poised to make their run at the title, right up until the injuries caught up with them again and they figure out Song has held everything together and with him gone for a month, boom….crisis again at the Emirates. Sol freaking Campbell? Yeah, you’re contenders alright. For third again.
So laught it up big boys… Look at the table…Because if you don’t, you’ll miss the biggest joke of them all. With all the losses, all the doom and gloom, crisis, armageddon talk, hah, hah, hah….5 points off fourth and 12 points off the top. Relegation? mid-table? Fifth place? Not this year lads. Are you kidding me? It’ll be the same top four it was last year, and the year before that, and the year before that. Oh…..who’s laughing now? Ummm….probably Liverpool FC.

    Coachie Ballgames,

Full credit to you! Usually when writers use that “A picture tells…” line they can’t help adding their share of the thousand words.

    Great picture. Great piece.

1st they bombed out of the Community Shield, then the Carling Cup, then the Champions League, Now the FA, soon enough the Europa League. When the finish in 10th in the Premier League this season, Rafa will get the axe. After next season its off to the Championship for the Reds… So Sorry! Glory, Glory, Man United!

      January 13, 2010 at 8:25 pm

Yeah, about that, Liverpool weren’t in the Community Shield.

Thing is can they afford to sack Rafa and his staff after that massive contract he just signed in the summer? If Liverpool are signing maxi rodriquez on a free who struggles to get into a off form atletico madrid team then I don’t think so

Ideally they would sack him but it depends if they want to spend the expense on it. Failure to qualify for champions league would mean torres and gerrard both out the door with their huge wages.

After last season when Rafa bottled under Fergusons comments and went on his bit rant it clearly showed he is struggling to handle the pressure and his post match interview suggested he is a very worried man.

Serves the scousers right. Bombed out of the League Cup, FA Cup, Champions League and surely out of qualifying for next year’s CL. Their misery keeps me warm at night. Well done Rafa! Keep up the good work.

    January 13, 2010 at 7:25 pm

Look Carling dont do FA Cup scores but if they did this would be the best! I believe the next signing is going to be Mark (the shirtlifter ) Lawrenson after all he has more cock ups than Sammy!

i think raffa the next victim of the gillete curse!
best film tonight was manuelgate 2: THE END OF RAF. a brutal thriller that pulls no punches and does little to censor the brutal mulilation of Liverpool Football Club.

I wonder if Liverpool could be in the line for relegation in the 2010-2011 season. They are falling apart, No European money will make things worse. It will be a summer fire sale. What big time manager will want to go into this. I think Stoke wins vs Liverpool too this weekend by the way.

if manuel had a shred of deceny left now he’d resign; this all just goes to show all along just how crap manager he was all along. the moment he aint got millions to squander and has injuries he carnt cope. try playing without your best players ( comparitive being arteta, jagielka, yakubu) for a bloody year and see how you cope- youd be relegated. what a sham manager for a sham club of foreign and bluff supporters. you are so deluded you think you have a divine right every year to win the prem- WAKE UP- it aint gonna happen for at least another 50 years. go an support man u or tottenham or coppenhagan ie who you should be supporting and stop blufffing it out.

  19. Ray

    January 13, 2010 at 7:05 pm

Lucas the worse Brazilian since David Plunket gave his misses a shave! Torres i never met Tiger Woods! Stevie G look i never touched him he started it when he asked the barman for a drink! Rafa look when i say we want to win a champions team i ment a champions league not CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM! Who is their manager btw?

i second that raymundo lad. i think fat raf the jaff man’s only quote these days is ”we were trying hard to win, you could see that” erm, no, frog man, you were not trying hard to win- YOU WERE BEING OUTPLAYED BY READING-WHO ARE CRAP. i think aldi players bit steep these days- raf man jaff shoppin in netto that replaced the kwick save in birkenhead. go ed you beaut.

Ant your not wrong there mate what a crock of shite! Please will they stop showing this on TV my dog has just topped himself ! (well tried to but he threw himself under a car and the guy missed him ) he was a fat guy with a goatie and glasses said his name was lucky Raf. Also whats that little fat beach ball doing next to him on the bench ? no i dont mean the one who played for Sunderland i mean Sammy Snake.

    January 13, 2010 at 6:57 pm

Liverpool the new Leeds! A 2 man side and Rafa says the season starts now! Or the week after or sometime…… When? Yet more Aldi players coming in to join the Greek who cost them big bucks as well. KEEP RAFA THERE! You misled dissalusioned red fools. Or as the song goes “The Partys Over “

  22. ant

    January 13, 2010 at 6:43 pm

fat raf the jaff should be sacked but liverpool that much of a joke nowadays that they carnt even afford to sack a manager! and to think that arrogant frog saying the mighty, financially viable blues under the excellent stewardship of moyes were a smaller club. well revenge is a dish served cold and i think it was freezing tonight.
my prediction is liverpool will be lucky to finish in the top 10 at this rate. gerrard the yob/thug wants out (thats obvious from how crap he’s played this season ) and el nino ( or el bruno ) is overrated and carnt take a good hiding by centre backs without whingeing to the ref. carra crap and has been all his life, en sewer is toilet, yossi mummy returns lightweight, aqua is dogshit, dirk diggler a beaut as is skirtle, johnson a liability and it just goes on and on. new leeds me think

      January 13, 2010 at 6:52 pm

well i dunno where you went to school or if you ever did but look up the word coherence so people can understand you.

rafa should be gone. so easy to call at halftime when he pulled gerrard to save him for uhhh…stoke at the weekend? it’s fun to hear pundits say well here is where Liverpool can turn it around. sorry, unless a Europa League title and Top 10 finish is your goal, then Liverpool have massively failed.

      They have. Sack Benitez.

How can he not be sliced now? Take off Torres at 30. Score with luck at 45 and then take off Gerrard. I called it at half and I wish I was wrong.

We are down to just one more opportunity for anyone to say “this is where L’pool turn it around” but this is where every team smells blood in the water with them.

So many things here to say. Carragher letting chances go for Reading in hopes they score. Benitez getting a lucky goal and then hoping for Reading to beat them by taking the best two players off.

    Leeds part deux

Why would a Reading fan ‘of course’ not have sympathy for Rafa? Just because you beat a team doesn’t mean you can’t empathise with them…
