England Team to Play Poland Sees Michael Carrick Recalled For Frank Lampard: Daily Soccer Report

Michael Carrick is expected to start in midfield for England instead of Frank Lampard in the crunch match against Poland at Wembley (3pm ET on FOX Sports 1, for readers in the United States).

In training, Carrick has been playing alongside Steven Gerrard in preparation for tonight’s match.

England manager Roy Hodgson is expected to start with the same formation that played against England with a 4-2-3-1. In another change, Phil Jones is expected to start in the right back position instead of Kyle Walker.

Nice job with the autoplay ads going at the same time. One would normally be annoying, but you took it to new heights with two.

Autoplay ads in the sidebar only run when you roll your mouse over them.

Now he just needs to be dropped from the squad fully, no sense in taking him to ride the pine.

Finally this era of failures can be over, even if it did take 4 years to long, better late than never.

If Eng do get to the WC, the starting 11 should be

    —————-Hart
    Walker–Caulker–Cahill–Baines
    ——————-
    ——————-
    Walcott—-Rooney(c)-Townsend
    ————–Sturridge

Subs, Sterling, Welbeck, Shaw, Gerrard, Carroll

Get tourney experience, go to euros with optimism & tourney exp.

Ah the famed 4-3-1, that’s a bold strategy cotton, let’s see if it pays off for him
