Welsh footballers Aaron Ramsey, Gareth Bale and Sam Vokes are featured in a photo spread to unveil the new Wales home kit designed and manufactured by adidas.
The Football Association of Wales couldn’t have picked a better week to have Ramsey and Bale promoting the shirts. Ramsey, having his best season yet for Arsenal, scored the goal to beat Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League this week, while Bale was on fire for Real Madrid to help them secure a 2-2 draw against Juventus. Meanwhile, Burnley striker Sam Vokes scored a goal for The Clarets last weekend to keep them in first place atop the Championship table.
After many years of wearing shirts from Kappa and Umbro, Wales have now switched to adidas. The design (pictured above and below) is simple but effective, and a return to the roots of classic Wales kits from the early 1980s.
In the meantime, here are leaked photographs of 2014 shirts for Colombia, Portugal, Holland and USA.
