Brazil Announces 23-Man Squad For September Friendlies in US

Brazil’s new head coach, Dunga, has announced his 23-man squad that will face Colombia on September 5 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami followed by a friendly against Ecuador on September 9 at Met Life Stadium in New York.

Dunga has made several big changes to Luis Filipe Scolari’s World Cup roster, including the addition of Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho who will likely earn his second appearance after his initial debut four years ago.

Out of the original 23 that represented Brazil in the 2014 World Cup, only 10 remain on the current squad. Dani Alves is one of the players excluded from Dunga’s new team, as well as Marcelo and Paulinho. Two new additions include Everton Ribeiro and Ricardo Goulart who both play for the Brazilian club, Cruzeiro. There are “regulars” featured on the line-up as well, including Oscar, Hulk, David Luiz, and Neymar who was recently declared healthy after suffering a broken back during Brazil’s 2-1 victory against Colombia in the World Cup.

With many tickets already sold, the game is promising to be a very good and competitive match between both sides. Colombia is likely seeking a win after a bitter loss to Brazil that saw them knocked out of the World Cup while Brazil is also looking for a win after embarrassing losses to Germany then the Netherlands that saw their World Cup hopes disappear.

Although Dunga’s resume is highlighted by his time as the captain of the Brazilian team that won the 1994 World Cup followed by managing the Seleção from 1996-2000, he is stepping into a tough position after Scolari’s resignation following Brazil’s disastrous finish from the World Cup they played host to, and is likely making so many line-up changes to reflect the changes made in order to lead Brazil into a new era of soccer.

This is the beigining of new Brazilian team Dunga should give the chance for new player. The current squad is not that much good but it is hhopeful ad also senior players should get the chance I think squlare punshe ronaldinho he can make something from zero even he can score the deadball. Brasil lost him the last two worldcup.

Brasil should forget 7-1 deft and they have to comeback the winning mentality soon.

I am the supporter of Brazilian team the last 20 years currently I am really disappointed now I am dreamin Ronald rivaldo romareo bebeto cafu kaka Carlos ronaldinho .

I want to see this new generation comes to the victory for 6 time world champion .
