beIN SPORTS Connect relaunches with new soccer channels

bein-sports-connect

beIN SPORTS has launched a new redesign of its beIN SPORTS Connect streaming service, which includes the addition of new channels and an easier-to-use interface.

Most importantly, beIN SPORTS Connect now features the beIN SPORTS (English-language) and beIN SPORTS Español (Spanish-language) channels in its offerings as well as 9 other new channels. You still need to have a TV subscription to beIN SPORTS and your TV provider needs to be one of the few that have an agreement in place to bring you the service (namely AT&T U-Verse, Atlantic Broadband, BrightHouse, COX, DirecTV, DISH, HotWire, Optimum, Time Warner and Verizon FiOS), but if you meet the above criteria, you can log in and enjoy many more games than before.

Plus, beIN SPORTS has wisely decided to expand its beIN SPORTS Connect coverage and to designate each of the distinct streams on beIN SPORTS Connect as its own separate online channel. So in addition to beIN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS Español, beIN SPORTS Connect now features:

• beIN SPORTS 2
• beIN SPORTS 3
• beIN SPORTS 4
• beIN SPORTS 5
• beIN SPORTS 6
• beIN SPORTS 7
• beIN SPORTS 8
• beIN SPORTS 9
• beIN SPORTS 10.

Each of the beIN SPORTS Connect online channels will be live whenever games are available. And presumably with more bandwidth in the way of channels, soccer fans will be able to see more La Liga, Ligue Un, Serie A, Championship, Russian Premier League and League Cup games than ever before.

The redesigned website also features a new-and-improved TV guide. In addition to the improved web presence, beIN SPORTS has upgraded the beIN SPORTS Connect apps on smart phones and tablets.

“We strongly in digital media,” said beIN SPORTS Deputy Managing Director Antonio Briceno. “We believe that’s where the market is going. We’re trying to improve the experience for the end-user. We usually had 7 channels of beIN SPORTS Connect. We’ve added 4 more to bring overflow content to the end-user. We want all of those channels to become program channels. The only difference is that they’re not being broadcast on the satellite, but will be on the Internet. The first 7 channels will be soccer-related. The remaining 4 will be other sports.”

Asked when Comcast subscribers can expect to have access to beIN SPORTS Connect, Briceno explained:

“We’ve been working very hard on that. We truly believe that’s what every user that’s paying for the channel deserves to have because the amount of content we have on the authentication platform is much more than what we’re able to show on two linear channels. With Comcast, it hasn’t been a reluctance from a business type of perspective. It’s more that they’re a very big platform composed of many markets that they’re acquiring in several different DMAs. It’s very hard for a company that big for a company to get the technology working so they can optimize their bandwidth. I’m hoping before the end of the year we should be able to authenticate.”

With no On Demand Catch up games,
This service loses 95% of its appeal to me.

    Probably gonna unsubscribe now

Also a FUBO customer, using the beIN Sports CONNECT site and unable to view anything other than the first two channels. All other channels report “no event scheduled at this time”. Does anyone else have this issue currently, anyone know how to fix it?
    Thanks

Good question. Usually with beIN SPORTS Connect, all of the 9+ channels aren’t available until the weekend. Could that be it?

Am a FUBO customer which now has access to Beinsportsconnect site. Having problem logging into Beinsportsconnect using several browsers on our two Windows 10 laptops using internet explorer and Firefox browsers. I’ve even tried this on my Windows 7 work computer with the same failed results. I have turned off my Norton firewall at home to eliminate that possibility, I have eliminated my Bein & FUBO cookies from the browsers and I have updated flash player, MS silverlight and even reset my FUBO password as well with no results. Interestingly I even cannot login to the site using my android BEIN app. FUBO has not helped and Bein points to FUBO as the possible problem. Any one else get this on Bein?

J Quintero, I am having the exact same problem. I’m also a Fubo.tv customer and get stuck at the “Validation of your television…” screen.

The same thing happened to me. I closed the window or tab and tried logging in again and it worked.

beIN SPORTS Connect runs on Silverlight, so it won’t work on Google Chrome, so Internet Explorer would work better. If that doesn’t work, make sure you have the latest version of Silverlight installed.

It’s a new year so when can Comcast customers expect to be able to sign in?

Anyone else having issue with BeinSports Connect?,I am a Verizon FIOS customer,I subscribed to Beinsports along with my package. When I attempt to watch live game online it’s saying this channel is not included in your subscription(error 5) even though when it authenticate my subcription at signin it says it’s included.I have called Verizon several times and the issue has still not yet been fixed. It was working fine until about 3 weeks ago,and yes I am using internet explorer with silverlight.Same issue when using the IOS app.
I open up a trouble ticket on BeinSports help section and they continued to close the ticket without fixing or updating.-Thanks

I can’t help with you with your issue Yinka, but I heard from a source that the beIN SPORTS Connect platform is being run by Perform, who are notoriously bad for poor customer service, so I wouldn’t hold out much hope of the issue being answered or resolved soon.

Yes I’m having the same problem which is infuriating as I am relying on being able to watch beinsports connect

I am not convinced either Verizon or Bein sports will do anything to get it fixed

I feel like going back to TWC – they at least had the NBS sports extra channels

The same problem happens with direct TV as well. It won’t allow me to play on beinsoortsconnect at all and even shuts my internet explorer down when it tries to play the game

What’s the point in having ten channels of live sport if they have no on-demand option available so you can only really see one match at a time?

BeIN is doing a great service for adding all these online channels, but I really dislike their new “interactive” schedule. It’s very confusing, clunky and not responsive to filtering for certain sports. For instance, I was trying to look up if a certain rugby match would be on and never was successful. Please go back to the old version schedule of Connect sporting events. Better yet, when I go to look up a certain match under the “fixtures tab of a particular league, would it be possible to just put a little note saying what overflow channel the match will be on. Otherwise, I like the actual Channel interfaces and this is a fantastic idea. Always been a fan of how BeIN pushes for online content.

I totally agree about their new interactive schedule. Very confusing and difficult to use. Just doesn’t work.

This is very adventurous by beIN Sports and they are moving in the right direction as far as streaming channels are concerned. If it works it could make them a big player in the USA. I hope it works out as it will force others to move in this direction and we will all benefit as a result.

FYI, BEIN in Canada has 55+ UEFA Champions League and 90+ UEFA Europa League matches which is the agreement with TSN.

BEIN Canada’s website doesn’t have its own schedule and it’s linked to the US site plus there is no on-demand option either.

I was surprised to read about the Connect ap for smart phones…. I’ve looked and never found it in the apple store. Do they have an ap on IOS?

Good news and not so good news. With version 4.0 of the beIN Sports app. It does allow you to watch as long as you are signed in with your cable provider. Problem is for now, the app is not stable and constantly crashes while loading. I would say give it about a week after the new Apple iOS 9 goes live to see if it will straighten out.
