Sunday’s Superclásico between River Plate and Boca Juniors will be streamed free of charge to soccer fans in the United States.
The eagerly anticipated match between the two giants of Argentine soccer will be streamed via a company named Fanatiz, which owns the rights to several leagues from Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Peru.
To watch the game for free, you need to sign up via the Fanatiz website. You’ll receive a complimentary pass that’ll allow you to watch the match (limited to the first 100,000 customers).
With Fanatiz, you’ll be able to watch the Argentinian Superclásico live and in HD on the device of your choosing: computer, smartphone, tablet or TV.
The kickoff time for Sunday’s Superclásico between River Plate and Boca Juniors is 4:05pm ET/1:05pm PT.

Can’t you watch then all for free on youtube? I have watched 3 or 4 in the last few years free. The afa had a deal with youtube at least last season

The “pack fútbol” in Argentina costs 300 pesos per month, and that’s on top of the basic cable/satellite service, which costs 600-700 pesos per month. Minimum wage is 8.860 pesos per month.
As you may guess, tv ratings have plummeted, whereas radio ratings have increased.

Does GolTV not have the rights to this? Did they in the past and lose it or do they carry a different league from Argentina?

TyC Sports has the rights to many Argentine games but not the River-Boca Superclasico.

For the United States, TyC Sports International has the ‘TV’ rights of the Superliga matches, EXCEPT those of River and Boca. So, every weekend TyC International broadcast 12 out of the 14 matches in HD 1080p and great commentators from TyC own roster.
Now, Chilean streaming company Fanatiz has the ‘OTT’ rights to stream all of the Superliga matches worldwide -except Central and South America- including River and Boca, but their streaming quality is not even close to that of TyC Int’l.
I hope for next year TyC Int’l also acquires the ‘TV’ rights for the United States for Boca and River so we can have them in true HD…
