Twelve of the biggest soccer teams from Europe will be heading to the United States to play friendlies this summer. And those clubs include everyone from Manchester United and Barcelona to Real Madrid, Liverpool and many more.
New additions this summer include the Germany powerhouses of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
Plus there’s also a strong contingent of Italian clubs and many other well-supported teams.
The soccer friendlies in the US will be played across the country, so there should be a little bit of something for everyone if you’re willing to drive. Many of the games are in the International Champions Cup, while there’ll also be several friendlies played too.

I see nothing for us here in New England, that’s sad>

I see several matches in New York City and northernmost New Jersey. Are these match venues really all that far from New England? I may be wrong, but I’m assuming that Connecticut is a part of New England, as well as being practically a suburb of NYC. Just have the car brought around 😉

Thank you, L.. I was hoping for something under 50 to 70 miles travel time, like Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Ma. They have had soccer there a few times with great crowds when they were playing the friendlies there. Oh well, we shall see.
