I’d like to correct one thing. beIN Sports is available on some providers like yours in NY, Kristoff. I believe it’s also available on Dish Network. The Gaffer might have a list of where the channel is available other then the streaming services. My point is it’s gone from the 2 biggest TV providers in the country COMCAST/Xfinity & DIRECTV which is in 8o or 90% of homes, might be wrong about percentage. Also, for those that have beIN Sports on their cable box, the channel is not standard like NBCSN or ESPN for example, you have to pay extra for it. I did when it was available on Comcast like 2 years ago.

On Fios it’s pretty much standard, was in a extra ‘sports pack’ way back in 2013 or so but has been in their standard package for years now.

@Azer, its kinda crazy. I wonder why BeINSports is not available on every provider. BTW, I have to pay extra for NBCSN, it is not standard on Spectrum in NYC. I have Bein English, but I cannot see BeINSports in Spanish… unless I pay for it. That makes no sense. Why do the cable companies do this to us consumers?
Why don’t they make a football package where we could pay one fee to watch any channel that shows football from around the world? That would be cool. And then that way no matter what ‘network’ has rights, we the consumer could watch it.
For me, I prefer cable provider because I just turn on my box/tv and voila its there. No buffering, no rebooting, no setting adjustments. Simple.

Comcast is battling Bein for the rights fees to put on Bein On Comcast and Comcast isn’t budging on that so I was forced to spend 33 dollars a month to get it on Sling, but its a small price to pay to see my beloved Barcelona (even though they got dismantled

The headline is misleading, it’s clickbait. Let’s be honest, please. The el Clasico was not available for TV viewers in the USA. I don’t consider a streaming service that you have to sign up for, hook up to your TV, then do the rest to be US TV. beIN Sports themselves will admit being only available via a stream in the USA so exactly is it on US TV?

I watched it on tv, BeINSports channel, on the cable box, provided from my cable provider here in NY. That is tv, right? Not sure what you are talking about Azer.

Really?????? “not available for TV viewers in the USA”??????? Dish network and Spectrum both carry beIN Sports. Nielsen Media Research reported the numbers.

I think the TV audience of El Clásico in United States is very low.
