In advance of the 2022 World Cup, South America’s upcoming qualifying games will be on fuboTV in the United States.
The live-TV service acts as a hub for soccer, providing coverage for games throughout the world. As the company already streamed the prior sets of games, they’ve now added games from September 2, 5 and 9 to their schedule.
Over those three matchdays, fuboTV will have coverage of 15 games from across the continent, highlighted by Brazil hosting Argentina.
fuboTV describes itself as the premier streaming location for soccer fans. With their coverage of these World Cup qualifiers, it is clear to see why.
The company caters to an international audience. Therefore, they broadcast games in multiple languages. For the English-language audiences, fuboTV will carry coverage of the 15 games, while games will also stream in Spanish-language.
The service is available through practically any device, making it fairly easy to access.
fuboTV users can stream CONMEBOL matches and programming in several ways:
New fuboTV subscribers
Customers that subscribe to the Starter ($64.99/month), Pro ($69.99/month), or Elite ($74.99) English base plans on or after August 30, 2021 can add the CONMEBOL & More channel package to see all CONMEBOL matches. In addition to CONMEBOL coverage, this package also includes eight other premium sports channels featuring soccer, baseball, football, basketball and more.
Spanish-speaking customers can subscribe to fuboTV’s Latino plan to see all CONMEBOL coverage. In addition to all CONMEBOL coverage, the Latino plan features the best in Spanish language TV from sports to news and entertainment.
Current fuboTV subscribers
Customers that subscribed to an English or Spanish base plan before August 30, 2021 will automatically receive CONMEBOL coverage in their existing plans.
fuboTV World Cup Qualifying Coverage
fuboTV’s CONMEBOL channels will broadcast pre-match, halftime and post-game studio shows in Spanish, while English-language pre-match, half-time and post-match shows will air on Fubo Sports Network.
These programs, made in house, feature a talented crew of analysts and former players discussing CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers.
For the coverage, audiences will see former professional players Juan Pablo Angel, Mark Gonzalez, Melissa Ortiz, Gilberto Silva and Roque Santa Cruz. Media personality Fernando Fiore also joins the crew. To wrap up the on-air talent, Fubo Sports Network’s hosts are Julie Stewart-Binks and The Cooligans.
However, the coverage of World Cup qualifying does not stop in South America. The “top streaming destination” for world soccer also carries coverage of other soccer federations through its network channel partners.
Also, fuboTV’s coverage of CONMEBOL does not just exist through September 2, 5 and 9. The distributor has coverage of South America qualifiers up until March 2022. At that time, World Cup Qualifying for CONMEBOL concludes.

CONMEBOL 2022 World Cup Qualifiers
Commonly one of the hotly contested qualifiers in world soccer, the qualification for Qatar 2022 is intense.
While games are also available through pay-per-view, fuboTV provides another outlet to watch the 10 teams compete.
Lionel Messi’s heroics in World Cup Qualifying sent Argentina to the 2018 World Cup on the final matchday.
In South America, 10 nations compete for four guaranteed spots at the World Cup. Each team plays a home match and an away match against every other nation in the group. Accordingly, each team plays 18 matches. At the end of all team’s games, the top four teams advance directly to the group stage of the World Cup. The fifth-placed team then enters an international qualifying game to get to the group stage.
In recent years, drama persisted up until the final day. Notably, Lionel Messi’s hat trick against Ecuador on the final matchday bumped Argentina third-position, guaranteeing a spot in Russia.
This season, there are all the makings of as much, if not more drama.
Five teams sit within three points of each other after six matches. Ecuador, Uruguay, Colombia, Paraguay and Chile are fighting for the three to five spots. Brazil is a perfect six wins from six. Argentina sits in second with a three-point cushion over Ecuador.
Matchdays nine, six and 10
The next set of matches kicks off in early September. Officially, these games represent matchdays nine, six and 10. COVID-19 and other forces pushed back these dates. This jumbled up the previous schedule.

As of August 30, fubo add-ons page shows “CONMEBOL & More $6.99/mo”. The add-on includes English and Spanish CONMEBOL qualifier channels plus a few additional channels

No CONMEBOL channels show in the base English plans (I infer the surcharge is required), while Spanish CONMEBOL channels show in the base Latino plan. There is no free trial for fubo Latino due to “no free trials for plans that include CONMEBOL qualifiers”.

@dstorm, if you get a chance, please share your thoughts on English fubo after you try it. What is a condensed game? Is it possible to online cancel (I read a few reviews that fubo make this difficult)?

I took the bait and signed up for an English plan before August 30th. Amex currently has an offer where you can get $20 off per month (up to $60) if you add the offer to your card as well.
I’m excited after seeing all the extra programming they have from Conmebol, including the condensed games! It looks like I’ll have access as just today all the matches are now showing up in my guide.
Biggest bummer is Cavani and Suarez not playing for Uruguay – can’t wait for Argentina – Brazil and the rest of the matches!

@locofooty, I am confused also. The fubo website says “legacy” customers will not get access to CONMEBOL qualifiers unless they change to a current plan. I suspect from context that “legacy” means no-longer-sold channel and price package

The phrase “can add the CONMEBOL & More channel package to see all CONMEBOL matches” is concerning. Is this like how I can add an appetizer to dinner for an upcharge, or is it like how I can add ketchup to dinner for no additional charge?

I plan to watch in Spanish and it seems fubo Latino includes CONMEBOL qualifiers in the $99 per quarter plan. I would be a bit nervous if I were signing up for a new English plan

I remember figuring out that for some of the really old customers, you needed to get the add-on in order to get the WCQ.
