Impressively, Paramount+ is not done yet. For example, their product roadmap has ambitious plans that include more soccer acquisitions.
Moreover, one of their top executives recently told World Soccer Talk:
“We want to be a year-round must-subscribe destination for soccer fans. We’re trying to do that by building a service that is for those fans, cares about those fans and presents it in an authentic way.”

@SteveK. Yes, linear NBC Sports Network does this when other live matches are in the window going on. However, Peacock stream service does not with the live EPL matches they air.

I guess the streaming audience expects to not get any spoilers as many of these viewers like myself, watch whole matches on delay on-demand and don’t want those spoilers. I would think Paramount+ should understand this.

Michael F, there are plenty of times in that 10am window where NBC cuts away very quickly at the end of one game to bring you bonus coverage of some other match yet to finish. Happens all the time. Not a bad thing, but then I don’t mind NBC showing the running scores of all the other games in the upper right corner either.

I guess it is made difficult for how and when to switch over to the studio audience. I watched the Liverpool game and after the PSG game finished it went to the studio audience and I was OK with that hearing their impressions. The problem is at what time do you switch?
.
I was very dismayed that the stream wasn’t working on any browser of my two PCs but it worked on the Google TV adapter after awhile it worked in the browser again.

@Darrell Mirsky I understand your displeasure over this. Was thinking the same thing. If I wanted to watch this other CL match on-demand in its entirety, the spoiler is already out. Not good at all.

Plus, I am a fan that likes to see the reactions of players and both teams on the pitch after the match completes. The shaking of hands etc. At risk of sounding like I am promoting NBC, but they have mastered capturing the feeling of being there from before the match begins to after it’s over, by providing that on-the-pitch feel before/after the match completes.

How frustrating is it that Paramount automatically switches to another Champions League match when the match you are watching ends. The announcer is in the process of discussing what happened during the match, for example today’s match between Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, and then all of a sudden the final minutes of PSG v RB Leipzig is on. What? Now I know the score, so is it worth watching? I have to prep myself with remote in hand and goalkeeper style reflexes to turn the TV off in time to avoid seeing a match that I planned to watch the replay of.
Anyone else annoyed by this?
