LaLiga Season Preview With ESPN’s Mark Donaldson

On this edition of the World Soccer Talk podcast, episode 1438, Kyle Fansler interviews Mark Donaldson. The pair preview the upcoming LaLiga season, notably the changes at Barcelona and the defending league and Champions League winners, Real Madrid.

Donaldson, one of ESPN’s commentators for LaLiga, discusses the top teams in LaLiga. However, he is most fascinated to learn about how one team in particular will fare given a summer of change. Plus, he gives his take on how the relegation battle may look throughout the season in the Spanish top flight. Finally, he gives his pick for the Pichichi for the league’s top scorer, and what team finishes on top.

The LaLiga season kicks off on Saturday, August 13. Mark Donaldson will be on the call for Monday afternoon’s fixture between Getafe and Atlético Madrid. Coverage of the competition throughout the season is available on ESPN+, with a sprinkle of games on other ESPN channels throughout the campaign.
