Arlo White serves as the play-by-play voice for NBC Sports Group’s coverage of Premier League coverage.

White, who spent the last two seasons as the play-by-play voice for NBC Sports Group’s Major League Soccer coverage, relocated back to the U.K. to call Premier League matches on-site for NBC. In addition to fronting national coverage of the U.S. domestic league, he also announces U.S. National team games for NBC and was NBC’s voice of soccer for the 2012 London Olympics.
Prior to joining NBC, White was the play-by-play voice of the Seattle Sounders FC of MLS on television and radio, which included all MLS games, U.S. Open Cup and CONCACAF Champions League games. He also hosted the Sounders FC pre-game television show, producing online content and hosting the weekly Arlo White Show on 950KJR in Seattle.
He previously spent nine years with BBC Radio Sport in England where he was part of the BBC Radio 5-Live announcing team for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. White also served as host on BBC Radio 5 Live and hosted the station’s flagship Premier League football show, Saturday 5 Live Sport, as well as the Monday Night Club alongside BBC football commentator John Motson. From 2005 to 2009, White was the International Cricket Commentator for Test Match Special, called two Cricket World Cups and traveled all over the world covering the sport, including visits to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Pakistan and the Caribbean. White was also part of the 5 Live Breakfast program on the BBC, where he covered, among other events, the 2003 Cricket World Cup in South Africa, the 2004 Athens Olympic Games and various Champions League football matches.

While we’re at it, I do want to bring something else up in realm of technical difficulties. I’ve been listening to your podcasts for ages, starting from the days of EPL Talk. As they’ve shown up in my feed, I have since embraced Soccer Morning and World Soccer Talk Radio. However, every week, without fail, there always seems to be at least one podcast missing within the 10 that should be included between weekday episodes of SM and WSTR. (This week, there was no SM posted on May 13 and no podcast posted for WST on May 15, and last week there was no SM podcast on May 7.) I’m an avid fan and want to be informed by all of your podcasts, but please be mindful and make sure that a daily podcast for every weekday includes every weekday. Thanks, and keep up the otherwise great work.

Hi Martinez, thanks for the feedback and great points about the missing podcasts. For World Soccer Talk Radio, we’ve only missed one episode in the first 6 weeks of broadcasting which was Friday where we decided to take a day off. For Soccer Morning, they’ve had problems with their CDN, so those missing episodes were never released. If you’re interested in listening to those episodes, let me know and I can give you the YouTube URLs so you can listen (or watch) those episodes.

I have actually been able to keep up with both podcasts to the best of my ability. Soccer Morning has been readily available on YouTube, though it is much easier to hear via podcast. As for WSTR, thanks for letting me know that there wasn’t one on Friday — I didn’t hear it announced because the difficulties on the May 14 episode made it hard to hear.
I eagerly await the cleaned-up version of the Arlo White WSTR episode and every future World Soccer Talk podcast that comes up in my iTunes feed. Thank you!
