Swansea sack Guidolin, hire Bradley as new manager

London (AFP) – Swansea have sacked manager Francesco Guidolin and hired former United States coach Bob Bradley as his replacement, the struggling Premier League club announced on Monday.

Guidolin was dismissed after Saturday’s 2-1 defeat against Liverpool left Swansea just above the relegation zone with only one win from their seven league matches this season.

“We can confirm the club has parted company with Francesco Guidolin, who will be replaced by Bob Bradley,” a statement on Swansea’s official Twitter account read.

This is an interesting appointment. It is rumored that Ryan Giggs will be his assistant. Let’s wait and see how he does before passing judgment.

Why is everyone om here thinking that Brad will get criticism because he’s not British, incase you all not paying attention the only successful British manager in the last 10 years is Alex ferguson.

Not sure why anyone would criticize him, if anything he should be applauded and more coaches should take that route, he could easily make a lot of money in the national rec league here and win numerous worthless titles but he has choosen to have real jobs.

Dude no hate here, this man has traveled long and far and has earned it, should have been sooner. Also he should have still been the US head coach.

All the comments I have been reading on other article about his hiring have been basically he was only hired because the new American owners, been nice knowing you Swansea you’re definitely going down now, and things to that effect.

Oh, the best one was “what about Giggs” a guy that has managed a team for like 3 months.
