FOX Sports and Concacaf have agreed to an exclusive multi-year U.S. English-language rights deal, highlighted by the 2021 and 2023 Gold Cups as well as the Men’s and Women’s Olympic Qualifiers and Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League.

Furthermore, we look forward to offering more men’s soccer, including the next two editions of the Gold Cup and the U.S. Men’s National Team Olympic Qualifiers.”
English-language coverage of the Gold Cup, the region’s flagship men’s international competition, remains exclusively on FOX Sports in the U.S. in 2021 and 2023. FOX Sports’ coverage of the 2019 Gold Cup last summer was capped off by Mexico’s 1-0 win over the U.S. in FS1’s most-watched non-World Cup telecast ever.
The Concacaf Women’s Olympic Qualifiers kick off Tuesday, Jan. 28, highlighted by the reigning World Cup champion U.S. Women’s National Team vs. Haiti at 8:30 PM ET on FS2 and on FOXSports.com and the FOX Sports app at FS1 level authentication. The evening’s doubleheader begins at 6:00 PM ET with Costa Rica vs. Panama, and the qualifiers also feature World Cup participants Canada and Jamaica, as well as Mexico and St. Kitts & Nevis. FOX Sports also televises the Concacaf Men’s Olympic Qualifiers in March live from Guadalajara, Mexico.

The next three editions of the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League, the region’s premier club competition, are televised exclusively by FOX Sports on U.S. English-language television. The knock-out tournament features competitive matches between clubs from MLS, Liga MX and more and serves as the qualifying tournament to the FIFA Club World Cup, an elite knockout competition with a revamped format that will include more clubs from the region.

The best thing for FOX to do is put some CONCACAF Gold Cup on FOX (over-the-air) for the 2021 edition.
If Gold Cup starts with Group A double-header on the 10 July and 11 July Group B double-header and so and so forth.
-Saturday, 1o July: Mexico v. TBD on FOX
-Sunday, 11 July: United States v. TBD on FOX
-Saturday or Sunday: Match-day 3 either Mexico or United States on FOX
-Saturday and/or Sunday: Two and/or one QF match/es featuring Mexico or/and United States on FOX
-Sunday, 1 August: Final on FOX

WOW, CONCACAF football. I’m sure the people at Fox Sports are telling themselves, we can do better. Fox has done a lot of mistakes no doubt, but I still have some respect for them. I’ll never forget Fox Sports World, then the Fox Soccer Channel. I hope Fox Sports gets it act together and acquires some European football soon even if it’s a sublicense with another network.

European football costs a fortune these days. I believe that is why Fox “dropped the ball’ on it.

Exactly what these European leagues expect in the form of rights fees vs the TV viewership the bring in doesn’t make them profitable ventures for a network like FOX . Disney has seemingly limitless resources for example they gave Serie A $55m yr to get ratings that rate too low to register and when they do they’re like 76k viewers they’re paying Bundesliga $30 mil. You can’t blame FOX as they aren’t going to air these leagues at a loss and these league won’t agree for anything that they see as bottom dollar. So that is the conundrum.

According to Jonathan Tannenwald, if your cable/satellite subscription includes FS1, you’ll be able to watch all USWNT games in the qualifying tournament through the FOX Sports app.
