The new season of the 2. Bundesliga starts this Friday with the two heavyweights going head-to-head – Schalke 04 vs. HSV. The schedule on ESPN+ doesn’t show any 2. Bundesliga games for this coming weekend thus far and I hope this will change in the next few days.

But in the meantime we don’t get to see the games. I had not missed a SV Darmstadt game since 2012, then ESPN got the rights and I only saw one game for the 20-21.

ESPN should stream every 2 Bundesliga game and stop holding games hostage. Very frustrating that ESPN holds the rights to the league and yet shows only one game a week. I hope this changes for the 21-22 season.

Double Marek, ESPN has the rights for all games of Bundesliga 2, just stream it with no commentator.

Why can’t they just stream the raw feed from every BL 2 match like Fox did ?
They have tthe rights to the games and are essentially blocking fans to be able to see the games anywhere.

ESPN wants to make everything they stream a quality product with commentators and scoreline graphics. They won’t put out an inferior product like FOX did. To put out a quality product, it costs more money. I’m sure they’ll add more games as time goes on.

Dissatisfied with this given Fox matchpass had every bundesliga 2 match. They just showed the game without announcers

This may not be the place, but can we not watch Bundesliga on ESPN+ via FuboTV? I thought FuboTV has all the ESPN stuff, but Bundesliga has just disappeared from my league list.

ESPN+ is separate than ESPN. The only place to get ESPN+ is ESPN+. More info here:

Not for the masses but for those interested Youtube shows at least one German third division match per week in English. Bayern II-Turkgucu this morning and Kaiserslautern-Dresden yesterday. From what I recall from last year these were avail on demand same day without spoilers but by next day score was posted.

Thank you. Just found it. Yeah the title of the video has the score so you got to have some quick eyes to avoid the spoiler. Channel is called “German Football”. Got to say German 3rd division put other country’s top divisions to shame when it comes to stadiums and crowd support. Certainly bigger than England’s 3rd division (league 1). Granted Germany’s leagues are smaller (18 or 20 teams) rather than england (20 or 24). I like the smaller size myself. I think English Football league should be no more than 20 teams each.
I thought there was an idea couple of years back to make English football leagues set to 20 teams. Create a “League 3” and add Celtic and Rangers there to fight their way through. Maybe a league 2 north and league 2 south as well. Good idea I think. Never happened though.

Yes! So, happy for this news! In mixed emotions, since where can I watch “in full” the complete league?
