I thought Darke and Robbo were awful for the semi with England, they brought up every negative thing they could remember throughout the game, it was pretty annoying. I wish they’d analyze more what is going on with the football, not list every failure of England or an England player for the past 55 years. They even brought up legal issues facing a member of the England team…..during a rare semi-final where they are meant to be helping cheer on the England supporters, not bring us all down. So, I hope Derek and Taylor get the final, they are far more upbeat in general. Darke is great for the Premier League games,…..but his elephant like memory for the misery of being an England supporter needs to find another outlet.

To me Derek Rae is the golden standard of commentators. But to each his own…

Can’t stand verbosity of commentator on Spain v Switzerland. I turn volume way down.

Agreed Ra, I thought he was being over dramatic, you could tell the difference between his partner and his accepting what the verdict is and Twellmans “BUT!, BUT!” we don’t need that.

Twellman is horrible. He should never discuss the referee’s calls, specially when you have someone actually qualified to do that.
He should stick to MLS.

Chris, do you know the folks commentating the ESPN+ alternative feeds? Is it the ESPN world feed? Thanks,
Christopher Harris

Yes, it’s the world feed. Andy Townsend has been doing a lot of the co-commentary.

in Moreno’s voice: I don’t know about that.

To Uvmfan: At least Burley is not co-commentating on the games. We can always tune him out during the pregame or half-time. Listening to the duo of Cangialosi/Moreno during the match, however, is torturous!

Too loud and full of stats. Moreno bad too.

Moreno is very decent. I enjoyed him better than Burley.

Sweden vs. Ukraine, 2:30 p.m. ET, Steve Cangialosi and Alejandro Moreno — ESPN
TUDN here I come! I do not speak Spanish, but I will get more out of that commentary, than from Alejandro Moreno in English

As a newly-minted Efan Ekoku stan, I’m happy about him and Derek Rae getting multiple matches.
Guessing Darke and Robbo will get the final at Wembley?

Was looking like we’d be spared more Moreno, but they have him for the final match. Donaldson/Bonetti not calling any matches, they’d be better for that Sweden/Ukraine match.
