I watch every Barca game and I am very unhappy and annoyed with your British commentators. Is it too much to ask that they pronounce names correctly? Camp NO not camp new or now, Ara oo hoe not aru ho, piQUE not PIque, ALvez not alVEZ, DEMbele not demBELay, etc. Why don’t your commentators learn the correct pronunciation of player names?? I get a whiff of colonialism here.

Guys it is quite clear that you love Real Madrid and not so much Barcelona, but for the sake of professionalism and us who watch Barcelona and Real Madrid games, could you please refrain from mixing your commentary with your love for Real Madrid. Again and again, I will hear you guys say things that completely false about the game that’s right in front of me! I don’t see this kind of behaviour in other leagues. I know you won’t like this, but for the sake of La Liga that I love very much, I am willing to risk anything, including any potential negative retaliation.

Espn please address the dullness of the la liga pundits. We’ve transisted from the passion and excitement of ray Hudson and Phil schoen to the current monotone statistics driven talk now. La liga is an artistic creative league. Please put some excitement in the booth. Respectfully from a new espn plus subscriber

@Karl- The Serie A are showing matches on the CBS SPORTS NETWORK so Paramount Plus should broadcast At least 2 matches each matchday so fans can see the Serie A. Even though the NFL is broadcasted on Sundays it wouldn’t affect it since they use the main CBS station. It would be awesome to see Jim Nantz join a Serie A game alongside possible Mateo Bonetti or Andres Cordero. The Serie A and CBS need to find a way on how to implement the NFL and Serie A together as one to gain more viewers. By the analysts on NFL on CBS talking about the Serie A before the games start it would be a fantastic way to get more American fans to watch the beautiful game. Thank you so much @Karl for the comment. We know that soccer will never be as big as the NFL in the states but we can try by showing a couple of more matches here and there. Thank you so much and any suggestions you have for Paramount Plus and the Serie A? Forza Napoli!!!!

@Michelangelo Unfortunately I think it’s incredibly unlikely we see any Serie A games on OTA CBS this season. I think it would need to be the perfect storm of matchup (has to be Juventus, Inter, and Milan playing each other) and timing. With Serie A’s biggest game of each week on Sundays, CBS just doesn’t have room in their schedule as they have much larger commitments than Serie A in the NFL, PGA (including the Masters), and college basketball.

No Andes Cordero, that good news for Serie A as still a chance he’s joining Paramount+. ESPN really dropped the ball if they didn’t even try to get him for a lead commentary role. Would also be a great presence on ESPN FC.

Azer, it’s known the deal between ESPN and La Liga involves all games on ESPN+ and few selected games on linear platforms (like the Barcelona-Real Sociedad on ABC this Sunday). NBC model is completely different. La Liga wanted to satisfy their fans in USA giving them a single platform to watch all La Liga games at the cost of a cup of coffee, and that’s absolutely fantastic. I wonder if Premier League bosses will do something like that and follow La Liga/Bundesliga/Serie A model.

La Liga starts on Friday August 13th with Valencia vs Getafe at 3PM ET on ESPN+
Brentford vs Arsenal starts at the same time on NBCSN. I wonder why ESPN won’t televise it’s first game to compete with the Premier League? I wonder who would get more viewers if they did that? The answer is obvious. ESPN doesn’t want to embarrass itself, the numbers would speak for themselves.

Serie A is now on Paramount Plus. Their button was posted today since Coppa Italia matches will air this Friday. Excellent.

    Wow, how about that.
Even without Messi, ESPN will be setting a higher bar for any league coverage.
Just one tiny thing though, I hope ESPN maintains the La Liga in game graphics as they are real sophisticated.

@Karl- It’s a beautiful thing to see big matches on a main station like ABC, ESPN, or NBC. La Liga is doing it, the Premier League is doing this but what about the Italian Serie A. The Serie A needs to broadcast live matches as well on CBS, and CBS Sports Network. As being played as the same time as the NFL will be interesting since October season in the NFL is when you really start to see teams clinching for spots so it will be interesting on how the ratings are not only for El Classico but for Man U-LIV and the Serie A as well. What do you think of the Italian Serie A going to Paramount and any suggestions? Thank you so much.

Assuming we see Barcelona-Real Madrid on ABC on Sunday, October 24, it will be fascinating to see what kind of audience that matchup can finally draw on a “big network” even without Messi compared to the head-to-head NFL audience and the Man United-Liverpool earlier that day.

Ray Hudson and Phil Schoen one of the two commentators must join either ESPN+ or Paramount Plus. These two commentators are the best and bring action, excitement, and humor to the beautiful game. Please bring one of these announcers. Thank you.

Is Ian still with BT Sport (and the occasional world feed) calling PL fixtures or will he be exclusively moving to ESPN coverage of La Liga?
