2022-23 Premier League TV Channel schedule on Peacock

Premier League TV Channel schedule Peacock

The Premier League TV Channel schedule is exactly what Peacock subscribers need as fans of the English top flight.

As the name indicates, the channel is solely dedicated to the Premier League. That includes things like highlights from previous matchdays, talk shows, documentary episodes and interviews with those associated with the game. Truthfully, it is what the hardcore fans need, especially if they want Premier League information from beyond the pitch. Some of the content is more serious, like looking back at a specific player or team. However, other programs are purely entertainment, having fun with the sport and league that we love.

Also, the Premier League TV Channel schedule features live games, but this does not apply to Peacock subscribers. Peacock blacks those games, as well as the pregame coverage, out as they air on either USA Network, NBC or elsewhere on the Peacock platform.

Therefore, expect studio programs throughout the Premier League TV Channel schedule for Peacock subscribers. Here is how that shapes up each week on the channel:

Also, keep in mind that these schedules can change. For example, the Premier League often schedules games for Friday or Monday afternoon. This will not show in the following schedule, as those are changes to the schedule made during the season.

Most of the content is pulled from Premier League Productions, which had a big shakeout last spring. Apparently that is why some shows (like the Analysis Show, which was excellent) have disappeared this season.

Thank you Kyle! The lack of a PLTV program schedule has been a sore point for Peacock premium subscribers from the get go. So perhaps this move is some evidence at least that the folks at Peacock are not totally oblivious to the concerns of their subscribers.

That said, I completely agree with SteveK when he writes that
“what Peacock subscribers need is for the best shows to be archived on Peacock and available on demand as they always have been going all the way back to the first Gold Pass days. The sudden change this year of Peacock not making anything available on demand is and remains disturbing.”

Finally getting around to publishing a schedule of PLTV programs does not compensate for failing to make the best shows, e.g., Kelly & Wrighty, the Analysis Show and a few others (some of them pointed out by SteveK in his comment) available to subscribers on demand. As of 3PM NY time on 08/16/2022, the only replays available on the app are 3 “match highlights” episodes from the first 2 match days. This needs to change.

So there’s no more Fantasy Premier League show? Used to be on Thursdays.

CH, I am pretty sure there was a fantasy segment on last week’s Team Talks show with Jules Breach. So check on Friday. How good it is I have no idea, I just tune out anytime gambling or fantasy is discussed.

Kyle… Thank you! thank you! thank you!! This is invaluable information. You saved me time making a note of the daily schedules as I watched so as to know when these shows are on.

  6. Monday Fanzone

You forgot to list “Fanzone” on Mondays when there is no live match.

    Mondays

    4pm ET – Fanzone (on non-matchdays ONLY)

Generation XG is the best new show.

Thank you for getting confirmation of the schedule Kyle.

“The Premier League TV Channel schedule is exactly what Peacock subscribers need as fans of the English top flight.”

Not really, what Peacock subscribers need is for the best shows to be archived on Peacock and available on demand as they always have been going all the way back to the first Gold Pass days. The sudden change this year of Peacock not making anything available on demand is and remains disturbing.

Since I watched a lot of the PL TV last week so you wouldn’t have to, to cut through the dross here are my viewing recommendations:

    Sun 4pm-5:30 Weekend Wrap
    Mon 9am Kelly and Wrighty
Mon 10:30 Weekend Wrap if you missed it on Sun
    Mon noon Generation xG
    Fri 1pm Team Talks

    That’s it.

@SteveK. I am not trying to go out of my way to defend Peacocks… However, since Premier League TV content has changed dramatically all of the sudden from last season to this season, I would imagine that Peacock has to catch up a bit and we will eventually see more shows available on demand in time. As it is, Netbusters and 1 hr Weekend Review show was available on demand from the first Matchweek last weekend.

Don’t mean to sound too harsh, but you were quick to criticize that Goal Rush wasn’t available and it became available with plenty of time before Matchweek 1. And no way do I believe it was because Peacock was reading your complaint about it here and that was the reason they added it. That’s just too wild of an assumption. Goal Rush is not added the same time the upcoming matches are each week.

“no way do I believe it was because Peacock was reading your complaint about it here and that was the reason they added it. That’s just too wild of an assumption.”

        Let’s review:

Like many I started checking the PL Hub and “Live and Upcoming” on the Peacock website for new content about 3 weeks ago. I also read the first NBCSports press release on July 27th trumpeting the return of the PL which listed all the programming coming up over the weekend, all the on-air talent, every game, every show, every channel and noticed Goal Rush wasn’t on the schedule. Subsequent NBC press releases went out on Monday August 1st and Tuesday 2nd touting the entire broadcast schedule, and again Goal Rush wasn’t included.

By then, the absence of Goal Rush had already been pointed out on several Peacock & Premier League threads here.

On August 3rd yet another press release with the broadcast schedule was sent out by NBCSports and guess what, Goal Rush had been added at 10am! It could just be a coincidence, and it certainly isn’t a causal link, but yes I do think “someone” complaining prompted “someone” at NBCSports Group to realize the mistake.

My guess is someone on Pierre Moossa’s staff reads this site (I would delegate that task to someone if I was the consulting producer of the PL for NBCSport) and checks all the threads here that mention Peacock or the Premier League and realized the omission, that of course there was going to be a Goal Rush, talent and production staff had to be lined up, it had to have been planned well in advance because Goal Rush goes out around the world and for some reason not only wasn’t it up on the Peacock website yet but even more damning it wasn’t included in the three official press releases that have gone out. Hence the addition on August 3rd.

All the press releases are still up on:

“keep those complaints coming”….is this a tacit admission that you are working for Comcast like some of us have theorized? You’re cover is blown Michael F!

              August 16, 2022 at 2:53 pm

No it’s not. I typed that with the feeling of sincerity. Of course, you cannot detect tone with test. If complaints are helping, that’s good.

                  August 16, 2022 at 3:07 pm

@JP And btw… perhaps you can come up with something more original than the same old tired retort that I work for Comcast. I don’t live anywhere near where Comcast cable is offered.

I am not at all upset by your comment to me, but it is amazing that it can almost be predicted that if someone says something remotely close to being interpreted aspositive about a carrier most people don’t like for whatever reason… there is then a follow up comment that this one must work for that company. Talk about lame.

              • JP

                August 16, 2022 at 7:15 pm

The tone of my comment was also sarcastic since we’ve discussed this on and off for at least a year now….but the more you protest the more I think there really is some truth to it 😉

                  August 16, 2022 at 9:08 pm

Think what you want… I can’t change that. This is a wasted thread however, as you’ve targeted me for more than a year with such nonsense. 😀

Thanks for pulling through with this. Pretty depressing that PLTV gutted their schedule. PL Daily was a real good alternative since US viewers can’t get Sky Sports News (unless we watch their YouTube clips).
