Note that ESPN+ is a completely separate offering than the ESPN you get through cable or satellite television. All of ESPN+’s content is exclusive to the $9.99/month streaming service. And you don’t need a cable or satellite subscription to access it.

Fanatiz specializes in streaming mostly Spanish and South American soccer including channels from Latin America.

Sling World Sports is just one of the many packages that Sling TV offers, but it’s the one that gets overlooked the most.

Since nobody has said it, ESPN+ only carries the Alternate Feeds of certain events, like Euro 2020 for example. In this case the Alternate feed is multi view and it is utter trash. It baffles me.

If you get Sling Latino for $10 alone and it includes beIN, and NBC universo. La Liga and EPL. Add cloud DVR and ESPN+ and watch champions league on free Univision. $20 per month. Get a tablo or TiVo DVR and you can record and skip commercials on free channels like Univision, unimas, telemundo, Fox and NBC which are all free OTA networks.

Sling Latino does not have universo. You can’t watch EPL.

Sling Latino does include Universo (as well as beIN SPORTS en Español, LaLiga TV and more):

I had Fanatiz for a year (well almost until pandemic hit) and I liked Being Sports channels the VOD of the Argentinian league since Iike to follow River Plate and Boca Juniors. Being Colombian I would watch the Colombian league and liked the VOD until that ended in September which was a bummer. I obtained ESPN+ for $3.99 per month for a year but I find that I forget to access it and with sports shut down, I had less use for it. Sling Blue is okay with NBCSN have the Premier League and FS1 with Bundesliga. But Bundesliga is moving to ESPN+ (bad move, less people will watch it) so Sling Blue is going to now worse. What blows me away is if Sling has ESPN, why in the world do they not have ESPN Deportes on their Spanish extras or Deportes Extra. Same goes for Fox Deportes. I currently have Sling Blue but I also have ATT mobile service so I get the Watch ATT channels for free (steams on Fire Stick) but only 1 stream and only TNT & TBS for sports. I am looking at possibly going again with Spectrum Choice Stream for $24.99 where you pick 10 channels from a list and load up with sports channels like ESPN, it includes local channels and some other over air channels. Then get the Spanish channel package that includes ESPN Deportes, TUDN, Fox Deportes, TyC, La Nuestra, Being etc for $8.99. That with the Watch ATT would put my monthly stream bill at $40 + tax. The negative with going with a cable company via stream is that if you are out of your area, many of the channels are blacked out, which doesn’t happen when you go with a full stream service. Now that Fubo TV is adding ESPN, I will look at them and see if the $54.99 price goes way up. Just some thoughts. Like most people I look for that sweet spot between low cost stream with max channel availability especially sports.

Says EURO 2020 under Plus, but I was under the impression all the EURO 2020 matches would be on linear TV on either the ESPN family of channels or ABC. Is this just confusion with the qualifiers (also listed) which are over now but did have matches on Plus.

I think you’re correct that Euro 2020 matches will not be on ESPN+ but only on ESPN/ABC family of channels.

Where do you see Euro 2020? All I see are “Euro Qualifiers” which are indeed on E+.

I am extremely happy with ESPN+. Very affordable, great selection of Serie A and many other European matches. I also very much like the nightly ESPN FC show…

What? Where is the comparison? You don’t describe anything about Sling or Fan.!

Also, you can only get ESPN plus if you already have ESPN through another service!

This article is not up to your usual standards.
Or is this an ad for ESPN?

        February 11, 2020 at 9:04 pm

        Carlos, that’s simply not true.

You can get ESPN+ without a cable or satellite subscription. You don’t need ESPN through another service. You may be confusing ESPN+ with ESPN3 or WatchESPN, which are different services.

You can also get more information about the three services elsewhere on our site:

As stated in the article, ESPN+ is a stand alone service that does not include the main ESPN channels.
Sling and Fanatiz has a lot of overlap due to both services offering beIN Sports. The biggest difference between Sling and Fanatiz is that Sling has Willow which is Cricket. If you like cricket, this is the service for you. Fanatiz includes TyC Sports that includes Boca Jr and River Plate (TyC Sports with Sling and Fubo does not include Boca Jr and River), Gol TV in both English and Spanish, and NuestraTele . So if you are a fan of South America soccer Fanatiz is the better service.
I think most people would be choosing between Sling World and Fanatiz and adding that choice to ESPN+. I currently have ESPN+, Fanatiz, and Fubo.
I get Willow through their website when it was on sale a few months ago and paid for the year.

I agree. This is a comparison of two apples and an orange. There is no overlap between espn+ and the others while the remaining services both have Bein.
