CBS Sports and Lega Serie A today announced the details of a multi-platform agreement for exclusive U.S. rights to the Serie A Championship, the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana.
Paramount+, ViacomCBS’ subscription streaming service, will deliver more than 400 club matches live each season through 2024, featuring all 380 Serie A matches, at least 25 Coppa Italia matches including all contests from the fourth knockout round on, and the Supercoppa Italiana match each year between the winners of Serie A and Coppa Italia. Select matches will be televised each year on CBS Sports linear platforms including CBS Sports Network.
“We are building critical mass in soccer, and the addition of Serie A, Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana is another major step in the expansion of CBS Sports’ extensive lineup of live soccer coverage on Paramount+ and across our linear and digital platforms,” said Jeffrey Gerttula, Executive Vice President and General Manager, CBS Sports Digital. “Showcasing this historic league and some of the world’s biggest clubs is a tremendous opportunity to further grow the sport in the U.S. by delivering first-class coverage to a dedicated and passionate audience.”

Today it is not a point of arrival, but rather the beginning of a process of investments in human resources and editorial contents to support the continued growth of Serie A in the North America territory. This is the result of the work of the last 18 months and of the increasing number of American owners who have decided to invest in our teams.”
CBS Sports begins coverage in August with the start of the 2021-2022 Serie A season. Additional coverage details will be announced in the coming months in conjunction with the 2021-2022 Serie A and Coppa Italia schedules.
Paramount+, a leading destination for U.S. soccer fans, features more than a thousand live matches each year across an extensive portfolio of soccer properties, including UEFA club competitions, NWSL, Concacaf Men’s World Cup Qualifiers, Liga Profesional de Fútbol, and Serie A.
According to industry publication Sport Business, CBS Sports will pay approximately $75 million per season for the rights.

Great to see this thread go the way of POSITIVE discussion, and not trashing people. Good luck to Napoli. The southern Italy teams need to get back to their heyday. For me, it’s FORZA ROMA! My man Spinazzola is out for a while, but Zaniolo will hopefully be done with his injury woes. And as a Spurs fan too I’ve got some serious reservations about new manager Mourinho.. But we will see. By the way, totally agree that Bonetti is a fabulous commentator. Anyone who says otherwise has a grudge.

That’s also your a Napoli fan join my fan group on Facebook called “Calcio Napoli USA” and “Napoli Supporters of America”. I love that such a small club like Napoli is recognized now in the U.S and globally. It’s a beautiful thing. Mertens and Zielinski are fantastic for Naples alongside Lorenzo Insigne. Lonzano will not be available for quite sometime due to his injury. Venezia jersey is gorgeous do the fact it looks like a luxury shirt instead of a jersey. Any ideas or features you would like to see for Paramount Plus? How should Paramount Plus cover the Serie A? Thank you so much for your comment. It really made my day. @Michelangelo, I love your enthusiasm! I’m also a Napoli fan. While hard pressed to name a favorite player, Mertens or Zielinsk probably, can name a most hated player with ease and that’s Mario Rui
Yes those Venezia kits are great. Sampdoria and Lazio consistently have great kits every year. Roma’s home kit last season was one for the ages.

Any Serie A fans here, who is your favorite player and favorite club. My favorite player is Lorenzo Insigne and favorite Club is Napoli. Matteo Bonetti needs to join Paramount Plus or this commentating cast is doomed. Matteo knows so much about the game and you can clearly see this in his EURO 2020 analysis on ESPN during the Macedonia-Austria match. I wish he could commentate every match for the Italian Serie A. Another interesting fact is how are they going to have a SAP for English, Italian, and Spanish for all of the Serie A matches. Will the Italian announcers be the same as the ones from Rai Italia, SKY, or DAZN Italy? So many questions to be answered in such a short period of time before the kickoff the the 2021-2022 Serie A season. Will their also be an option to watch the full replay in a different language as well? I know that Disney Plus with their films you can choose multiple languages and I hope this may be the case for the Italian Serie A, The UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Europa League. I’d like to see them update the app interface. It’s so hard to find live UEFA matches. The sports section is sequenced last in the menu and it takes several clicks to find and get to a list of live games. CL and EL are never shown in the ‘featured’ section nor do live matches show in the ‘Live tv’ section. I should be able to open the app and see any live content featured front and center and accessible with a single click, but instead it takes too long to frustratingly navigate around having to find something.

I can hardly wait for the footballing fun to begin in August. Thank goodness I subscribe to Paramount+ because now I can choose to stream Serie A, Brasileirao, Futbol Argentino (All in English), NWSL, Europa League, Champions League and more. All I can say is THANK YOU!!!
