In the United States, fans can watch the World Cup 2022 in a variety of locations. These differ in ease of access, price and quality. At the base of it all, language determines where you can watch the World Cup 2022.

The rights to broadcast the World Cup differ for English- and Spanish-language broadcasts. English rights belong to FOX, which broadcasts all 64 games either on FOX or FS1. However, there are plenty of other ways where you can watch the World Cup 2022 depending on your preferences.

Where can I watch the World Cup 2022?

In the modern age of watching soccer, media outlets put the content on linear channels and streaming. Streaming plays a key role in watching soccer, with a number of leagues exclusively on paid streaming services.

For the World Cup, you do not need an individual streaming service. All 64 games are on TV, with many over-the-air.

World Cup on TV

For English audiences, FOX and FS1 will carry all games at the World Cup. The majority of the ‘major games’ are available on FOX, with each other game on FS1. The World Cup TV schedule changes throughout the tournament, depending on which games are expected to draw in bigger audiences.

Same goes for Telemundo’s coverage. The majority of games are expected to air on Telemundo, an OTA channel. However, when kickoff times overlap, games also air on Universo.

World Cup on streaming

Streaming platforms like fuboTV, YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV are replacements for cable or satellite TV. Each of these providers carries the channels necessary to watch the World Cup.

If you have some form of TV subscription, you can also use the FOX Sports app to watch all the games for the World Cup. There will also be on-demand replays of all games after they go live.
