NBC cuts Peacock price 60% for very limited time

NBC cuts Peacock price

If you’re a fan of Premier League soccer and you haven’t subscribed to Peacock Premium yet, now is the time to take action. For the month of September, Peacock has dramatically dropped its price.

Instead of $4.99 per month for Peacock Premium, it’s available for $1.99 for a very limited time. For even greater savings, an annual subscription to Peacock Premium is $19.99 instead of the usual price of $49.99. That’s a 60% savings.

Doing the math, that means an annual subscription for Peacock works out to be just $1.66 per month over the 12 months. The one-time offer is only available in September, so our recommendation would be to grab it before it’s gone.

What does Peacock Premium offer?

In all of the years that we’ve been tracking the price of Peacock, the annual offer of $19.99 is the lowest we’ve ever seen it. If you enjoy watching Premier League soccer, then the $19.99 annual subscription will give you 180 live Premier League games per season. That works out to be just 11 cents per game.

For soccer fans, Peacock Premium also includes the 24/7 Premier League TV Channel. In the same manner, Peacock Premium include Goal Rush, the whiparound show from Premier League Productions. Accordingly, you can watch several games at once with Goal Rush without missing any of the goals.

New to Peacock Premium is the special feature called Key Plays. For instance, it allows you to watch all of the key plays you missed if you join a live broadcast after the game has started. And if you haven’t heard, Premier League games in 4K are coming to Peacock next year.

Don’t forget that Peacock is streaming every World Cup 2022 game in November and December, in Spanish.

NBC cuts Peacock price: What other sports are available?

Soccer isn’t the only sport that Peacock Premium features.

In a recent interview with Rick Cordella, EVP and Chief Revenue Officer for Peacock, he said:

“We [just] announced the Big 10 deal, so Big 10 football and basketball are coming on [to Peacock]. You mentioned WWE, but we [also] have a lot of golf. US Open, The Open Championship — exclusive hours from both of those big events. The French Open. Sunday Night Football, and the simulcast from NBC. We have an exclusive NFL game in 2023.

“So sports are a pretty big part of our content.”

Note: The Peacock special pricing is not available to current Peacock Premium or Premium Plus subscribers.

Subscribed yesterday, thanks World Soccer Talk.

Definitely worth the 1.99 per month, specially in a year where world cup happens and they have the rights for it!

Would EPL be available on demand with this?
And if so, what sort of timeline of availability and/or limitations to content are there?

Peacock shows about half of the PL games live and every match, even the ones originally shown live on NBC and USA, are available for replay on demand. The only gotcha is you have to wait 24 hours to replay a game that was originally broadcast on USA, so for instance the replay of yesterdays ManU Leicester will not be on Peacock until 5PM EST tonight. I think replays of the Peacock only games are made available fairly quickly but they are not available immediately after they end, but a nice thing is if you join a game live in progress you can rewind to the beginning if you want. In terms of limitations to replay content, there aren’t any really, you get a commercial or two before each half but once the game starts you can pause, fast forward and skip around as much as you want.

lol just be honest man, they give you half the matches. Ridiculous to say they show all the games, but oh by the way half are on delay. Youtube has every single PL game for free if you don’t actually care about watching it live, but I wouldn’t go around telling viewers the EPL is on youtube.

Full disclosure: the Big 10 won’t be on Peacock during most of this one year promo period (coverage starts in 2023).

It is a good deal if you like EPL. The lowest price before this was $30 annually back in their first year.
