Premier League TV has launched on Peacock TV offering a ton of shoulder programming for soccer fans in the United States.
Located under the ‘Channels’ section of Peacock TV (see above screengrab), the live soccer channel features more than 1,400 hours of shoulder programming throughout the season including daily content such as news programs, review shows, interviews and classic footage.
Previously, much of this content was available via a paid subscription to NBC Sports Gold’s Premier League Pass. But now that Premier League Pass is no more, all of the content is available via Peacock.
Peacock will feature all of the news and programming from Premier League Productions on its free, exclusive channel Premier League TV. Visit peacocktv.com/premierleague for more information.

Premier League Today – daily, weekday program showcasing the top news stories from around the Premier League.
Fanzone – a daily international fans’ phone-in show, which also includes Skype callers, as well as social media contributors and emailers.

Well finally the Peacock App came to Roku but the layout and navigation is as dismal as on the other devices or browsers. The Premier League channel is useless as it just tells you to go to the Sports Category and there you have Premier League News but no idea what is being shown nor when it was shown. This in its infancy and in dire need of improvement.

Thanks for the tip, page is bookmarked. At this point it is very frustrating to get anything on Peacock that is not match related because it is more like live TV where you have to watch it when they say, which died when Tivo came on the scene. Most want to watch things when they want to and have time.
ESPN+ FC is for me the go to show plus I like their contributors much more as they seem to be in the loop regarding European Football, Transfers and other interesting stories. Sort of don’t like the 2 Robbies and Rebecca. On the other hand CBS All Access had a very short time to get their UCL & UEL broadcast and format together as they took over the rights and it was I believe just weeks to get everything setup, study, moderator and pundits and they succeeded stunningly. Can’t say the same of Peacock especially since they already had the structure in NBC-SN.
Finally something positive the picture quality on the Roku is excellent plus peacock have less DOGs (Digital Onscreen Graphics) then the NBC TV channel that I watched. For $50 per year It is good value.

1) As a general steaming service, Peacock is terrible. The design is cluttered and confusing. And no joke, if you type Premier League into the search icon, it replies “No results found.” That’s absurd as there is clearly PL content on the site.
2) Game replays are available and some NBC-produced shows as well, but not offering the non-NBC produced content on demand is a serious problem. This was an option with NBC Gold. I cannot understand why NBC would make accessing PL content so confusing and difficult. I’ve subscribed to every platform NBC has provided the entirety of the time they’ve had the rights to the PL. I’ve never complained about paying extra because everything of all that was available. Now, as a long-time and loyal viewer/subscriber, I am totally frustrated. When making such drastic changes, options should be enhanced, not decreased. Soccer may not be huge in the U.S., but there is a loyal following who have depended on NBC to provide excellent content. It feels like they are taking their viewers/subscribers for granted. What a disappointment.

You, me and many others are hoping that in 2022 someone else will get the rights to broadcast the EPL as in its current state it is deplorable on Peacock. On the bright side Roku & Comcast just came to an agreement to bring Peacock to Roku in a few weeks. Here is hoping that the User Interface on Roku will be an improvement. What a vastly superior experience watching the Dortmund Bundesliga game on ESPN+ they went all out to make it easy, pleasant and entertaining. They had Klinsman afterwards for commenting. Glad that ESPN+ has the Bundesliaga for 6 years.

Honestly, it’s hard to feel bad for a company doing poorly when it’s partly their own fault, and I feel like Peacock is an example of that. They’re making all kinds of rookie mistakes here in just about every regard, despite being part of a huge media conglomerate and having already had things in place on their own streaming apps, like the NBC Sports app and Gold.
They rolled out a streaming service with a terrible interface (which is especially terrible for Premier League business); didn’t secure deals with the biggest companies, Roku and Amazon, to make their product available for subscribers; and with the Premier League, they’ve taken what people paid for last year and have made it worse through a number of inexplicable decisions.
So not only are people less likely to subscribe, but they’ve created ill will with those who have paid for subscriptions. I’m no businessperson, but even I can see that this is obviously a really bad approach.

Has anyone been able to determine when the ‘Premier League Today’ daily news show is airing on that 24/7 Premier League TV channel during the week? It is the one show I look forward to watching to keep up with Premier League off the pitch. It was so convenient when you could watch it on-demand at anytime on NBC Sports Gold. I easily thought The on-demand content of the Premier League was worth the subscription.

From my standpoint, it’s not worth the Peacock premium subscription just to be able to view a few extra premier league matches not shown on NBC Sports Network or NBC. I’m already subscribed to a live TV stream service (U Tube TV) so as to get the marquee premier league matches and this live tv stream service has unlimited DVR, thus I can watch the aired tv matches anytime. I realize for many that have posted comments here, their only choice is to get premier league matches through Peacock. But for me, I would only subscribe to the Peacock premium service so as to get the Premier League shoulder programming on-demand. Aside from that, the free programming available on Peacock is actually impressive.

Has anyone noticed that the games are actually 1-2 minutes behind and not really live? I was FaceTiming my father during the Spurs v Everton game Sunday and he was watching on Sky Sports back home. He was telling me of incidents that were happening in the game and I was so far behind it was quite upsetting. In the past, when the games were on NBCSN or NBC, the delay was about 10-12 seconds but not now on peacock. For the Chelsea game on Monday he was texting me about incidents which again were happening over 1 minute before I saw it. I am watching thru my xfinity box and while the picture quality is good, I feel we are not really getting a live experience.

During the Spurs vs Everton game I also noticed this strange delay thing happening. On one of my PCs I started to stream the game then on a second PC the stream was 2 minutes behind the first PC’s stream. The weird thing is they are plugged into the same Giga bit switch sitting next to each other. After Half-Time I expected both to sync up but no such thing 2 minutes time difference through out the entire game. With the first PC I started the stream 2 minutes before the game started and they still had the message on screen “The event will start shortly”. This whole Peacock thingy is half backed and needs ASAP someone who knows how to fix all these quirks.

Chelsea v L’pool next Sunday was originally scheduled to be on the USA channel; I set it to record on DirecTV. Now it’s been switched to Peacock. Any official reason given?

It’s obvious that NBC is pushing hard to get people to subscribe to Peacock Premium, regardless of what the official reason given is.
I tried watching yesterday’s Brighton-Chelsea match on my computer (I have a Roku device) and I had to stop watching because the quality of the stream was poor and I had buffering issues. I never had a problem with my Gold subscription the last couple of seasons. If NBC does not solve their streaming issues by the weekend I will cancel my subscription to Peacock Premium. If NBC wants more subscribers to Peacock Premium then they should offer a much better product than the one they have now.

Streaming on Peacock via Apple TV or any Apple devices work great. Very clean HD picture quality.
David obviously has it right. They are pushing hard for more subscribers on Peacock. Very surprised though that a marquee matchup like Chelsea vs Liverpool would be switched to their Peacock premium stream service and will not be on their NBC Sports Network or even their flagship NBC network. They’ve never had a tv schedule like that before. Usually only the low profile matches not involving top 6 would be on the stream service. Their business model is really changing then.
They should at least provide all the on-demand shoulder programming of the Premier League (like they did on NBC Sport Gold before), so as to make it worth the while for subscribers. That live 24/7 Peacock TV channel they currently have is useless with no guide.

I saw that on soccertv.com. I think that’s been in error for some time. A week ago or so, I went to USA Network scheduling for Sunday the 20th and there wasn’t a listing for the Chelsea v Liverpool match. So some confusion there. Tbh, I don’t recall USA Channel having Premier League matches other than match week 38 when all matches kick off at the same time.
Further NBC is showing the Final round of US Open Golf.
NBCSN is showing the Tour de France.
That’s why the match isn’t on those channels and on Peacock tv.

Chris, we need clarification from Comcast re their policy on Replays. Officially they say after 6pm PDT, but this last weekend they were made available within at least 90 mins (maybe less, I didn’t notice). It makes a HUGE difference to those on the West Coast who simply cannot forego sleep every weekend to watch 4.30am kick-offs.
Can you find out if they have revised this 6pm nonsense, and, if not, why not. Please.

I think the deal is that the games that are broadcast originally on Peacock, like the Brighton-Chelsea game, can have their replays put up as soon as they can get them up.
For the games that were originally broadcast on NBC or NBCSN, though, you have to wait until at least 9 p.m. ET, no matter if you actually are a cable/satellite subscriber.

I just typed Chelsea in the search and it came up. The iPad and AppleTV is apparently where it’s at with this app. Also replays go up almost immediately when the game is over.
But I’ve been paying for Hull City live streams and replays for years so I was born in it, molded by it. Squinting my eyes to make my vision blurry to avoid spoilers.

I stream Peacock through the Xbox and had no problems on Saturday or Sunday. The match I wanted to watch was right there when I opened the app and the picture quality was a step up from Gold for me. However, I logged in just now to watch BHA vs Chelsea and the game wasn’t on the homepage, I clicked the sports tab and scroll down to see ‘Chelsea roll past Brighton’ in the headlines. Pretty disappointed by this as along with Leeds, seeing how Werner, Havertz, Pulisic and the rest fit together was what I was most looking forward to about the new season (that’s what 13 years of Mike Ashley does to you but that’s for another thread haha). Fingers crossed I get to know the app soon or NBC do something about this

A workaround is to add the games to your watchlist whenever they pop up prior to the game. Then it should show up near the top under the Featured tab. Also try to avoid looking at the trending tab as it may spoil the result there as well.

My experience with Peacock has evidently been different than most of you. I got in early on the Peacock one year for $30 deal. 175 Premier League games as well as all the entertainment programming on offer for $30 seems like a very good deal to me.
The Peacock picture on my Sony TV is clear and clean, better than the picture I get from Directv. In the two Premier League games I have watched on Peacock I can remember buffering once or twice for a few seconds. Nothing major.
I honestly don’t care about shoulder programming. There is more Premier League stuff available through various sites than I could ever hope to consume. I just want to watch the games. I rarely ever notice the advertising banner in the upper left hand corner. It’s a lot less intrusive than the advertising on most sports broadcasts in the US. All in all, I am very satisfied with Peacock thus far.

Can’t believe NBCSN is showing a replay of the Indy race and forcing the Chelsea game to Peacock today. Watched the games on Saturday and Sunday on Peacock, using my Apple TV 4K on my LG OLED, and the refresh rate is way too slow for live sports. Nothing worse than seeing the ball disappear in flight, because the action is too quick to see. As others have mentioned, don’t see those issues on ESPN+. Using 30 frames per second on scripted shows may be fine, but definitely not for live sports.

Update. Seems by switching browsers I may be able to cancel Peecock. Well, at least, a button to cancel has appeared, whether that actually succeeds… So if you still really want to, given the tidal wave of dissatisfaction all over social media, sign up only monthly, your “get out of jail” insurance.
Another thing, attempting rewind or forward in playback games sucks – the elapsed and remaining time readouts are nonsensical, there’s no way to tell where to click to get to a desired part. Shocking. The interface design looks like it was hastily thrown together on a pauper’s budget by harried and disgruntled techies on low pay – so bad, so sad. The poor online effort & fragmentation of disjointed programming, it’s a real turn-off. Azer/Hans etc are all making many other valid points.

I’m not surprised by anything NBC does with the Premier League. We can only pray and hope that another company takes the Premier League rights away from them. I wish this is their last season but it’s not. Why didn’t they take the time to fix all the issues before launching Peacock? NBC/Comcast have plenty of money to improve their streaming service but they refuse. Peacock is just a start of their other issues they have to work on. They are totally incompetent and I’m tired talking about the EPL on NBC Sports. I cannot wait until Rebecca Lowe says goodbye to the viewers and hands the torch to a different network. NBC was given a chance to shine and they failed miserably. May it’s lights dim soon.

Totally agree with your assessment as the whole transition from NBCSN to Peacock is an epic failure and it is reflected in the massive negative comments in the Google Play store under the Peacock app. Their contract ends with the 2021/2022 season and like you I am hoping that someone else will outbid Comcast, but I think that is a slim chance as they have seen viewer increase until the Peacock rollout and they have made the EPL a cornerstone of their sports programming.

Chris: I have Peacock premium. I do not see or can find the Premier League channel from the Channels page as shown on your screenshot. Anyone else having this problem?
I was online in their chat room yesterday with one of their customer service people and they knew nothing about a Premier League channel. I sent your link with screenshot and still they said there is not a dedicated Premier League channel. But they were going to forward it to the supervisors for investigation.

The Premier League Channel must have been a stop gap for EPL programming until the season started. If you select in the app top part channel you have to go to the almost last entry to find the Premier League channel once you select it, it will tell you that there are no live games at that location but suggests you go to the sports tab on the top. Now you have to search and navigate all the posted thumb nails for EPL related programming, not very intuitive especially if you search for side programming. The live games are easy to spot as they are front and center.

Hans: Not sure what you have, checking again this morning, when I go to the Channels page and scroll down every listing, I do not see Premier League logo as a channel.
I have no problems going to Sports and finding the match, or replays, or Two Robbies Podcast, or whatever.
My question only revolves around the Channels page and a listing for a dedicated Premier League Channel as shown in the screenshot at the top of this page/thread that Chris posted.

The VERY LAST entry is the Premier League TV and it is useless as it is curated entries where you can’t select anything. At present it has Chelsea becoming Champions under Morinio and it is like a constant stream of clips that are from the past and NON selectable. Think of a TV channel with no guide to tell you what is on next and constant clips of Premier league content of no interest to anyone. Comcast can’t divorce themselves from the cable format as that is what they make their profits with so they replicate it in the Peacock app. They don’t get the shift in viewer preference we want to select what we want to watch, where and when. That is what streaming is all about and they are force to deal with it, were late to the game and don’t like it.

I’ve scrolled slowly to see if the Premier League channel is elsewhere in the listing. It isn’t.
So confusing to say the least.

Chris: An Update.
I am using a Chromebook as my laptop of choice.
I logged out of Peacock, Logged back in, thinking maybe that would solve the issue and still no Peacock tv channel.
I use an old Windows 10 laptop and hdmi cable to watch the match when necessary on my tv.
Fired up the Windows 10 laptop getting ready for the Brighton v Chelsea match.
Low and behold, I see the Premier League channel as the last channel in the listing.
Looks like a Chromebook issue. Which is annoying.
I use google chrome in both as my browser in both. So that isn’t the problem.

After watching the Spurs Everton game on Peacock have to revise one observation.
The advertisement on the top portion of the screen was absent from the Peacock screening. So this mad advertising is part of the regular broadcasted EPL games on the NBC channel.
However there is an issue with the Peacock stream, while I didn’t experience the buffering it was weird to see first on the bottom of the page icon that the Spurs vs Everton game had started 28 mi minutes ago but the live broadcast displayed 2 minutes before kickoff time “the Game will be starting shortly”. Once the game started another strange thing happened. On a second PC that stream was 2 minutes behind the first stream. After Half-Time I expected both to sync up but no such thing 2 minutes time difference.
Now to the actual broadcast quality. I am running it in a MS Edge browser tab and I can’t play it in Full Screen mode as it results in jerky motions especially when the camera pans. This has to do with it being shown in 30fps, what a shame and this is the biggest drawback for me. Hopefully this will change with the soon to be released Chromecast (4) with Google TV which will have a remote and allows installation of the app from the Google Play store. This will get around the not available on the ROKU or Amazon devices. Hopefully this will improve the playback quality a bit.
As far as the picture quality and resolution is concerned I agree it looks soft not crisp HD quality and perhaps this may have to do with the original being shot in the UK with their 50fps format and now having to be reencoded to 30fps or they just use terrible settings for reencoding with a starving bitrate.
The whole Peacock situation with game scheduling, app navigation and media location plus their picture quality and connectivity is at worst unwatchable and at best a very mediocre experience. I am patient enough to give them time to address some of those issues.
Tried to search for Goal Zone no such results so unless you know where to look for EPL related sports shows, new users will have a terrible time. BBC’s Match of the Day had for Saturday’s matches, Lineker as host and A. Shearer plus I. Wright as guests what an excellent show and atmosphere with meaningful contributions by the guests. I am missing that from the NBC post game shows.

What a way to lose subscribers to their featured coverage of the Premier League than to go backwards and anger loyal subscribers of former NBC Sports Gold. If this is just a case where they eventually plan to provide on-demand shoulder programming and improve their streaming of exclusive live games on Peacock (obviously an issue as presented here in comment posts)…, Why are they so unprepared for this transition to Peacock? You would think they would have been committed to enhance the experience, and make all of it even better — to draw new subscribers for watching their Premier League content. Very Puzzling.

Tried watching the Tottenham v Everton game on Peacock. It was my first experience with the platform. What a disgrace it is. I thought B/R Live was as bad as it could get, but this is worse. I had zero issues with Gold in previous season.

Just signed up and they cut short my free 7 day trial of premium after one brief visit and on returning the same first day informed me my free period was over so prepay or no dice watching the premium level again! No support offered. No ability to cancel as a dissatisfied customer. More details if time allows, but a warning to anyone considering signing up — avoid this “service” like the plague. You may even have to change your credit card number to shake off these brigands. They also mention that if you want to delete your info you may be permanently barred from accessing any NBC Universal online product in future! Wow. That’s the tip of the iceberg. Horrible, horrible, horrible. By contrast, Fubo is acceptable overall, ESPN+ is very good. This lot — mafia TV! Navigation is also a disaster.

Scathing review of Peacock to follow.
As already mentioned here about the superior navigation as well as structure of ESPN+ and I expected something similar from Peacock except it was an amateurish implementation of the EPL games by someone that must not watch them and therefore has no look and feel for what the EPL audience wants.
1. I am set for all the UCL & UEL games with CBS All Access which did an excellent job with the remaining part of the 2019/2020 season. The presenters were excellent and I am really looking forward to the 2020/2021 season. Easy navigation shortly after game completion, Highlights and On Demand playback available. Can’t say the same about the Peacock presenters and their playback.
2. Have a 1 year sub for ESPN+ and am happy and set for Seria A, Bundesliga and the Cup games, their ESPN-FC show is excellent and hoped something similar would be on Peacock but the Highlights and talking points were unimpressive.
3. Finally the biggest gripe is the advertising during the games with the enlarged top left bar with flashing activity plus the logo and repeatedly FT results on the top right side makes that part of the screen unwatchable.
My hope is that in 2022 someone else will buy the rights because it is obvious Comcast was very late to the streaming game and their way of scheduling the games shows they are only halfheartedly support streaming and want individuals on their cable plans. Sort of reminds me of the Nokia CEO’s statement “We don’t need no touchscreen for our smartphones” and I seriously hope that Comcast will go the same route, because they have no feel for what hardcore EPL fans want.
Fortunately I signed up for Peacock with Google so I have a 60 days free trial until November and if this doesn’t improve I will watch the NBC OTA games, Get my live games via GMRS or get them an hour later from various download location plus BBC’s MOTD and MOTD2 from Reddit. Can’t understand why those moronic Comcast suits don’t get it, the biggest game in the world and you do a FUBB (Fouled Up Beyond Believe) with your EPL presentations. ROKU and Amazon stick it to them.

Well said. I was just looking at my schedule for the week and realizing I have meetings during the Tottenham Everton game tomorrow at 3. Comcast wants us to PAY for Peacock but if my meeting runs 3-5, AND THERE IS NO CABLE TV CONTRACT TO PROTECT since the game is already on Peacock, why are they making me wait til 9 pm to watch the game on demand? This site claimed the PL makes them embargo til 9. Last year games not shown on cable were not embargoed til 9. I don’t believe the PL made a mid-contract change on Comcast!!

NBC negotiated a 5 year deal in 2015 so the contract runs through 2021/2022. From the NY Times:
NBC retained the rights to the Premier League through the 2021-22 season.
Therefore sometime in 2021 or 2022 the contract will be renegotiated. It would be in Google’s (YouTube TV) or Amazon’s interest to get the contract starting with the 2022/2023 season.
Love your reasoning on the 9pm embargo but there is a way around it problem is every time my team plays I have to turn off the phone app notification.

another brian roberts f-up. last year they put turner classic movies on some silly extra (crap) sports package. this year moving EPL games to streaming w/o the option of recording means for us folks out west these w/e games aren’t really available, what about weekday games. comcast, NBC’s owner, is just rubbish! just wish a network would sign up La Liga so there is a quality alternative, bundesliga was ok when nothing was on, just isn’t up to snuff.

Peacock simply stinks.
You’d think they would have UPGRADED (in some way!) the service, but everything is worse than even Gold last season.
On my computer last season, I could stop games mid-stream & restart. I could rewind. No, not on the tablet, but on a laptop, yes.
Last season the games were available on the Roku NBC app. This year, they are disputing and no Peacock app on Roku.
Last season, pure World Feed. Today, have to watch the NBC pundits at halftime of West Ham v Newcastle. Essentially ‘forced’ to pay for this, but they are leaving a very bad taste in their consumers’ mouths.
Again, as stated above, compare and contrast ESPN+ with this poor service.

The whole experience is a bit of a mess, even with a reduced schedule like they have today. Imagine if they had more games.. I get that some games will still be on NBC and NBCSN like last year and that those are cable/YouTube TV/Fubo etc., and the rest will be on Peacock, but finding them on Peacock is awful. They should have used the Premier League TV channel to show Peacock games live and in between programming live (along with a schedule), and if we want to see them on demand or live on their own, or if there are multiple Peacock games at once – tell us to go to Browse/Sports for “XX vs XX” game(s).
Also, like the Gold and NBC apps, Peacock should have added “sign in with TV provider” and then add the local NBC, NBCSN channels (and the other NBC channels) to the Channels list so everything’s in one app.
All that said, this is still better than paying Fox Soccer Plus $15/mo (who by the way currently have women’s rugby on).

Christopher, I would really be interested in NBC Universal’s justification and response to provide LESS for the consumer with regards their Premier League coverage as they transitioned from NBC Sports Gold to Peacock?
I mean, what a way to lose subscribers to their featured coverage of the Premier League than to go backwards and anger loyal subscribers of former NBC Sports Gold. And if this is just a case where they eventually plan to provide on-demand shoulder programming and improve their streaming of exclusive live games on Peacock (obviously an issue as presented here in comment posts), Why are they so unprepared for this transition to Peacock?
You would think they would have been committed to enhance the experience, and make all of it even better — to draw more subscribers for watching the Premier League content. Puzzling.

I don’t know if “justify” is the right word here, but I get the idea–I think it would be fair to question the logic or reasoning behind some of these decisions.
We know the big reason is to get more Peacock subscribers. But if you offer an inferior product (that’s unavailable to many) to what consumers are used to receiving, well, that seems like a questionable way to attract and/or keep subscribers to this service.

Thank you Nosterafu. That’s exactly what I meant. I didn’t think it was a hard concept point I was trying to get across. A business model should find ways to attract more customers by enhancing their product. Instead, NBC Universal has removed the features (on-demand Premier League shoulder programming) that attracted Subscribers to their NBC Sports Gold Premium in the first place.
How is one supposed to follow the premier league here in the U.S in depth without any of the Premier league programming at your fingertips on-demand? There is nothing more simple than that. That is something they should justify (perhaps to themselves), if they want to keep their subscribers.
This is big time FAIL launch of the Peacock Stream where their Premier League coverage is concerned.

Unlikely to feature at the moment because the UK 3pm blackout has been lifted, meaning Sky Sports News is showing EFL goals and key incidents as soon as they go in. With ESPN+ having EFL rights, I’m pretty sure this will make it a no-go for NBC as it would be a breach of ESPN’s rights.

Paying for exclusive content from sports in another country is nothing new and actually $5 or $6 a month to watch whatever game you want from a league is reasonable. Even American football here in the states doesn’t provide you all the games (far from it), only a couple select games aired in your area on local network affiliates on a Sunday afternoon. You would need NFL Sunday ticket and pay hundreds for a 4 month season to watch any game you want, and local blackouts apply So let’s be realistic with your complaints.
The issue with Peacock is that all the premier League shoulder programming that was available On-demand on former NBC Sports Gold is Not available this way on Peacock. That’s a great inconvenience for subscribers that got used to it to keep up with the Premier League.

Agree with the negative commentary on Peacock’s lack of on demand coverage and lack of all the shoulder programming that NBC Gold had available for a yearly subscription. I don’t understand it. NBC has a contract for Premier League coverage through (what is it) 2022, so how is it that just because they shift the programming over to a new platform application, they lose all of what was available to consumers on their previous app? It doesn’t make sense.

To be fair, all of the content that was available on NBC Sports Gold’s Premier League Pass is available via Peacock. That content currently isn’t available on-demand (live only), but it’s quite possible that the content could be available on-demand in the future.

What is really comical, is I am currently watching live the Fulham vs Arsenal match on NBC Sports Network, and they got the insignia for the now demised ‘NBC Sports Gold’ above the ‘NBC Sports’ peacock emblem in top right corner of the screen. This shows you how little regard they have had toward this transition of the Premier league programming to their Peacock stream.

The lack of a true guide and the ability to watch shows on demand makes this implementation completely useless. Like i have all day to watch in the background and stop all I’m doing to watch the FPL Show, no matter how much I like it. The “channel” framework makes this thing impossible. Combine with the inability to watch matches on demand until 9 … and this is three giant steps back for NBC. Especially when ESPN+ is amazing on demand, and the LaLiga programing is streamlined on BeInSports (far as i can tell..)

Finally the PLTV has arrived in America! I have been watching this channel when I was in Africa 2010’s when John Dykes was the regular presenter and Andy Townsend was their regular pundit. Their coverage is second to none. After not watching so many years, I still saw today Leroy Rosenior and Don Hutchinson at Fanzone. Peacock is bargain having PLTV content for 24/7.

I don’t think that would be allowed due to highlight rights in the US vs UK. Example, Sky Sports News would show international cricket highlights right away and that would most likely violate Willow Cricket’s rights to show those in the US exclusively. Same with some soccer stuff like La Liga/beIN. Probably a reason that NBC Sports picks up SSN at times when that wouldn’t be an issue (midday).

Is this where we go for Saturday? It the live pre show Rebecca and the guys, going to be on peacock? The first weekend I know will be on NBCSN to start the day but the last games are on peacock so will they have goal zone on peacock?
The following weekends only 1 game in on NBCSN, the rest are on peacock including the 2 earliest games…. so will the studio show be live on peacock..
Lord, I hate change lol…. I was very content with NBCSN and Gold… But I understand NBC wants to cash in on the streaming but the first attempt at their “channels” was not good

It’s possible some of the big games will be featured under the ‘Browse’ section too on matchdays at https://www.peacocktv.com/watch/home
The Premier League TV channel, as far as we understand it, will be the place to go to in order to see all of the shoulder programming from Premier League Productions. The Premier League Mornings and Premier League Live coverage from NBC Sports, when games are on Peacock, should be under the ‘Sports’ section.
It’ll take a while for us to get all used to it but it’ll seem like second nature soon, I’m sure.

No, there is no published schedule, unfortunately. It’s not designed to be a channel in its own right – it’s a 24/7 content service designed for international rights holders to dip in and out of. Some broadcasters across Asia, Africa and Oceania mainly do offer a permanent feed though.
On match days the feed offers a full live studio production and shows live match coverage. Unsure if NBC will use this but if they do, it’s usually hosted by Manish Bhasin under the ‘Matchday Live’ banner. This feed uses the usual world feed commentaries.
You’ll know if they’re cutting it in favour of their own coverage of course, but tomorrows schedule is (EST):
6:30 am – Matchday Live
7:30 am – Matchday Live – Fulham v Arsenal
10:00 am – Matchday Live – Crystal Palace v Southampton

Chris: I see you have your hands full trying to keep up with the tsunami of questions about the EPL on Peacock Premium, to which I have subscribed. Allow me to add to the chorus of confusion by relating the following.:Yesterday, I tried to do an on-line chat with Peacock support to find out whether there was any kind of program guide for the Premier League TV channel. The support guys had no idea there was such a channel and kept telling me that all the football analysis programming that was on Gold could be found on the app’s browse tab under sports. After I explained that I was looking for the non-NBC produced shoulder programming, he asked for time to research that and within minutes the chat timed out and he was gone. I gave up. Just now at 7:02 PM New York Time I tried to see what is showing on Premier League TV, supposedly a 24 hour service. The answer is that nothing is showing. The colored circles appear and the words “current matches are not on this channel” flash on the screen.
Second, since about 10 PM last night, I have been trying without success to watch Yesterday’s Brighton/Chelsea game. Although it appears on the watch list I created under featured on the Browse Tab, it will not play from there….there is no “watch” button. And to top it off, this game does not even appear on the Premier League Replays list on the browse/sports tab. I never imagined that they could build a worse app than Sports Gold. I’m curious to hear what the folks at Peacock/NBC have to say to you about the chaos they have created by moving the EPL to Peacock.

I noticed the same thing as Charles a few desperate times over the last week where I went to the premier league channel and no program was playing, and the same message on the screen. Not sure why that happens on the “24/7” channel. Also I completely agree that by not including any kind of guide/schedule and not having the shoulder programming available on demand makes the channel IMO of limited use for me.

I have seen it as well on the PLTV. When you try to watch it, its blackout and there was nothing that was displaying. I’m thinking the PLTV is showing the full replay of the previous game and NBC don’t want the fans to watch the full replay in PLTV. NBC Sports wants you to watch the full replay in the sports section with their commentator Arlo White. That is my assumption. I could be wrong. This happens only the weekends after the matches are over.
