CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers to be streamed via fuboTV

fuboTV announced today additional programming details around its exclusive live streaming rights to the Qatar World Cup 2022 Qualifying matches of South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL).

fuboTV will launch a dedicated CONMEBOL experience where subscribers can stream all qualifying matches and shoulder programming. Every single game will be available in Spanish-language via a subscription to fubo Latino, while all of the games will be available in English-language via the CONMEBOL & More add-on package.

Select games in English-language (which ones will be determined at a later date) will be available to fuboTV subscribers who have the fubo Sports Network. The games available on Fubo Sports Network will only be available on fuboTV and not through Fubo Sports Network’s off-platform distribution partners such as Pluto TV.

Current fuboTV subscribers who have the English-language plan will have the CONMEBOL & More included for free. New subscribers will be able to get it by subscribing to one of fuboTV’s plans and then adding CONMEBOL & More for $6.99 per month.

To enhance the 70 live CONMEBOL qualifying matches, fuboTV will produce a full slate of original programming including pre-match, half-time and post-match shows. All programming, which will be available in English and Spanish, kicks off with the upcoming window of CONMEBOL qualifying matches on June 3. Several additional match windows will be held throughout 2021 and into early 2022.

Soccer icons Carlos Valderrama (Colombia national team), Juan Pablo Ángel (Colombia national team), Mark González (Liverpool, Chile national team, among others) and Lucas Barrios (Paraguay national team), as well as rising media star Antonella González, will join a star-studded lineup that includes previously-announced legends Pablo Zabaleta (Manchester City and Argentina national team) and Melissa Ortiz (Colombia women’s national team) as hosts of fuboTV’s original programming. More soccer stars will join fubo’s programming as guest commentators throughout the tournament.

fuboTV users can stream CONMEBOL matches and programming in several ways:

New fuboTV subscribers

Users of an English-language plan can add the CONMEBOL & More channel package, which will be available later today, to their subscription. In addition to CONMEBOL coverage, this package also includes eight other premium sports channels featuring soccer, baseball, football, basketball and more.

New subscribers will be able to stream select CONMEBOL matches and programming through Fubo Sports Network on fuboTV only (not available through Fubo Sports Network’s off-platform distribution partners) without a CONMEBOL & More subscription.

Users of a Spanish-language plan can subscribe to Latino Quarterly. In addition to all CONMEBOL coverage, the Latino Quarterly plan features the best in Spanish language TV from sports to news and entertainment.

Current fuboTV subscribers

Current English-language plan subscribers (prior to May 26, 2021) will automatically receive CONMEBOL coverage in their existing plans. Unfortunately, this doesn’t include legacy Fubo Pro subscribers.

Users who signed up for the Latino Quarterly plan after February 17, 2021 will automatically receive CONMEBOL coverage. Users who subscribed to Latino Quarterly before February 17 must add the CONMEBOL y Más channel package, which will be available later today, to their plan to receive CONMEBOL coverage.

@Azer On the last round, I was able to watch some Pokal full matches on the ‘German Football’ Youtube channel. It is legit (from DFB – their FA). I would check there also.

    Excuse me
I’d like to get the Conmebol League. The $6.99 for new subscribers is additional to any plan or is the total for the package?

I don’t believe the $6.99 is available anymore.

The least expensive package is $33 per month which also includes a ton of other channels:

Hi Chris – I’m sorry for going off topic on this thread. Do you know why ESPN is putting some German Cup games on ESPNU tomorrow and Wednesday?
If you subscribe to ESPN+ you can’t watch it. If you subscribe to cable, you can’t watch it either. Millions of people don’t have access to ESPNU, it costs more money.
What is going on here? If there are programming issues, why not they leave the games on ESPN3 where they’ve always been? Thanks for looking into this.

        • Christopher Harris

I know you know, but for others, DFB Pokal games have always been under the ESPN3 umbrella, not ESPN+. The two ESPNU games are also on ESPN Deportes, so perhaps you can watch them that way or authenticate your cable/satellite login with ESPN3 to get the games in Spanish?

          Here’s the schedule:
          https://worldsoccertalk-wp.futbolsites.dev/dfb-pokal-tv-schedule-and-streaming-links/

Why they’re putting them on ESPN U, I don’t know. They haven’t done that before that I’m aware of.

Hopefully. Next time around. ESPN+ or Paramount+ will pick up these rights.

BeIN lost that too. They have nothing going on this summer.

Saw some interesting replay programs on Fox Deportes scheduled for this weekend…

Agreed, they’ve generally been a very good service but this one leaves a bad taste, if I could stream Goltv elsewhere I’d move on.

That’s not good PR with their legacy/old customers. FUBO has made it more difficult than it should be. If I’m paying the old price of FUBO latino ($20 something), I can watch the matches with the add on for $8 a month (quarterly payment)?

LaViola, you’re in the same boat as me, I did e-mail them and got the following response a few hours ago.

Thank you for reaching out to us!

Unfortunately, our Legacy fuboTV subscriptions are not eligible for new add-ons.

I reached out to fubo who confirmed that the legacy Fubo Pro subscribers don’t get the CONMEBOL games.

    June 2, 2021 at 6:34 pm

Jeez, could fubo have made it more complicated? Thank you, Chris, for breaking it all down for us.

I’m a longtime subscriber with fubo Pro + Spanish Add-On. I have only one fubo Sports Network channel and no CONMEBOL channels. My “Manage Add-Ons” page doesn’t offer me any additional Fubo Sports channels or any CONMEBOL channels. The only matches listed for me are BOL vs VEN and VEN vs URU. (One match for each round, both with Venezuela? Thanks a lot.)

Not asking for help just posting here in case anyone is still confused after reading your article. I’ll watch the matches in Spanish on my IPTV service.

Good idea, thanks Chris. I’ll give it a shot as I think I’ve been there from just about the beginning.

Anybody seeing the matches scheduled on your account? I have FUBO PRO (for many years) and I’m only seeing the Bolivia/Venezuela match, I don;t have option of adding Conmebol and more. Believe other matches will be on Fubo Sports 2 or 3 which I don;t have.

    • Christopher Harris

      June 1, 2021 at 4:55 pm

I’m seeing the games available live (at different days/times) in the programming guide listed under:

      fubo Sports Network
      fubo Sports Network 2
      fubo Sports Network 3
      Eliminatorias CONMEBOL
      Eliminatorias CONMEBOL 2
      Eliminatorias CONMEBOL 3

Since you have fubo PRO, my recommendation would be for you to call or email fubo Support and ask them if you can be grandfathered into this since you’ve been a loyal customer of theirs for many years.

    This looks promising.

I enjoy watching games in Spanish. If I understand correctly, paying $100 for 3 months of fubo Latino Quarterly gets me access to match days 9-14 and very likely the reschedule of match days 5-6 (sign up on September 1 and have access through November 30).

If qualification is still in the balance, I can pay another $100 for access to match days 15-18 (sign up late January, access through late April). This would only miss the upcoming match days 7-8.

@Christopher Harris See the free trial question. Maybe it’s different with the spanish package.

What should I do? Am paying suscriptions for Fanatiz USA, Espn+, Paramount, Peacock.

    • Christopher Harris

      May 26, 2021 at 5:01 pm

It all depends what you want to watch. All of the streaming services you listed are month-to-month. Peacock won’t have any soccer until August. fuboTV offers a free 7-day trial so you can watch the games and then make a decision.

Any idea if grandfathered plans (fubo pro) will include this?

  17. locofooty

    May 26, 2021 at 4:42 pm

@Guillermo No access if going through the free-trial

    • Christopher Harris

      May 26, 2021 at 4:57 pm

You should be able to get access to the games. The first 7 days of fubo Latino, for example, are free.

    May 26, 2021 at 2:03 pm

If I sign up for the free trial next week I won’t have access to the qualifiers?

CBS/ESPN/FOX have their own other priority at this moment is my guess, especially for soccer broadcast rights.

  20. Christopher

    May 26, 2021 at 1:10 pm

Not a good deal in my opinion unless your a current subscriber I guess ( took a look at these plans and for English language tv ranging from 60-80.00 dollars plus a 6.99 add on to watch these games, I’d pass. , I feel like Paramount ( who has the Argentine League and Brazilian League) ESPN or even FOX ( who has Copa America until 2026) should have put in big bids to get these games.

    May 26, 2021 at 1:09 pm

I’m assuming they are adding the CONMEBOL channel to the International Sports Add-on and renaming it since International sports add-on is currently 8 channels.

      Correct

Been waiting for that. Thanks for the great news. They’re still gonna offer PPV? They’re gonna try to get people that aren’t streaming savvy.

    • Christopher Harris

      May 26, 2021 at 11:43 am

Yes, pay-per-view will be available. Integrated Sports will offer the matches live on cable, satellite and telco Pay Per View via iN Demand, DIRECTV, DISH, FIOS and AT&T U-Verse along with commercial establishments across the US.
