For soccer fans in the United States, the World Cup qualifiers TV schedule offers a number of games on both television and streaming online. These matches are being broadcast in English-language through a partnership between FOX Sports and ESPN. Here is the latest World Cup qualifiers TV schedule (note that the TV schedule is updated as soon as TV/streaming details are announced, so bookmark the page and return often for the latest updates).

Where to watch World Cup Qualifiers in the USA

Depending on the confederation, you can watch World Cup qualifying in the USA on different providers. UEFA and CAF have World Cup Qualifying coverage in the U.S. on ESPN and ESPN+. AFC and the majority of CONCACAF qualifying are on Paramount+. Finally, CONMEBOL comes on fuboTV exclusively.

The exception is the USMNT. Games for the 2022 cycle aired on CBS Sports Network, FS1 and ESPN throughout qualifying.

World Cup Qualifiers – English language broadcasts

Each of the aforementioned broadcasters airs games in English. The broadcast rights to World Cup qualifying matches are spread throughout the previous channels.

There is often pregame coverage for English-language fans depending on how the scheduling plays out. For example, CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying is almost always on the same day for each side. Therefore, the CBS and Paramount+ crew have pregame coverage on each matchday.

World Cup Qualifiers – Spanish language broadcasts

World Soccer Talk provides details about the English and Spanish language broadcasts for each schedule when applicable.

Spanish-language coverage of World Cup qualifying often comes on Univision, Universo and Telemundo. These broadcast rights are more consolidated.

Generally, there are also pregame shows that follow the same kind of suit, particularly surrounding the USMNT and Mexico in CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying.

Makes sense. They did it last WC cycle. Good promotion going into the last months before the World Cup finals begin. Unless FUBO and the greedy PPV bastards get, well…greedy and selfish.

Hey Chris! Any word on CONMEBOL qualifiers? As far as I know the only way to watch is thru FuboTv add-on in the US. Its a shame because it gets pricey and these are probably the most intense of the qualifier matches.

Nevermind, just saw your upcoming matches guide. Guess not even Fanatiz will be showing them due to copyright. Its a shame CONMEBOL WCC streaming has become reduced to one service.

Here’s more info about Prende TV. It works but I’ve found it’s quite buggy and the design isn’t very intuitive, in my opinion.

Breaking news it that Immobile, Raspadori, Scammaca, and Bellotti are all guaranteed on the squad for the 30-40 man squad which is selected on Friday. The big debate is either Mario Balotelli or Joao Pedro will be selected on the squad. Who will you take. What’s your squad selection? Thoughts anyone?

Chris, is there a way to add Futbol De Primera RADIO to your list of offerings. FDP is the Official Audio Broadcaster of the Mexican National Team World Cup Qualifiers, Mexico International Friendlies, MexTour and the FIFA Official Audio Broadcaster of the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar. All matches can be heard live on fdpradio.com, the fdp app, our 100+ radio stations, youtube tv and facebook live /fdpradio pages.

Our upcoming Mexico vs USA WCQ 3/24 will be done live from Azteca with world renowned broadcast Andres Cantor calling the game. Andres also happens to be the owner of Futbol De Primera Radio.

    Upcoming Matches will be:

Concacaf World Cup Qualification Matches (FINAL Round)
3/24 Mexico vs USA World Cup Qualifier
3/27 El Salvador vs Costa Rica
    3/27 Honduras vs Mexico
    3/30 Mexico vs El Salvador

I wonder what’s going to happen to Marco Messina from IFTV do the fact on Paramount Plus the announced Marzo con Marco so is CBS Sports Network and Paramount Plus going to be there since ESPN+ is going to televise the match. I don’t understand why Paramount Plus would announce him going to the match when ESPN+ is televising all of the UEFA European Qualifiers including the Italy-North Macedonia match which is the match Marco from IFTV is going to. @ChristopherHarris- What do you think of this?
Should this match be televised on live television or is it fine on ESPN+?

      • Christopher Harris

        March 7, 2022 at 2:23 pm

Paramount+ was never going to broadcast that game. They don’t have the rights. Marco was going to the Italy-Macedonia game as a fan, and possibly a reporter.

The EURO qualifier games I want to watch will be on ESPN2 only?! No ESPN+? Alright – I let my ESPN+ subscription lapse last week, to resubscribe this Fri (19) at 3:15 pm just in time for the next Bundesliga game.
This will align my subscription with the finish of the Bundesliga (Dec 19 at 1:30pm) before the break, which will allow me to lapse it again to resubscribe it only on Jan 8.

No, I don’t like annual subscriptions because I like to cancel my subscription every time ESPN makes a game ESPN/ESPN2 exclusive… And this year so far, I already got 5 free mos between breaks and promos 🙂

Shockingly three matches to watch today where the winner qualifies for the WC
    Portugal v Serbia at 9am
    Croatia v Russia at 12pm
Spain v Sweden 2:45 and also being shown on ABC!
Wonder if that was a last minute change because of the implications. Doubt they’d have OTA if either had already locked up top spot.

@vinnie: It is sexist when you say ‘women’, don’t mention a particular woman, and conclude they can’t be good announcers. How many football games did Keith Jackson ever play in?

  24. Ra

    September 2, 2021 at 9:30 am

    Trying again…
Quick math – ESPN+ costs $7 and has 15M subscribers. So they are making $105M/mo (many are paying less than $7, but let’s simplify things). If they were to charge $8, they would need 13.125M subscribers to reach revenue breakeven, If more than 12.5% of people cancel, they shot themselves in the foot. The same is not true for cable, because of the bundle, it is hard to see such a direct relationship. You can charge $1 more and that would be just 1%, you and your competitors are fighting for the same total subscription value.

PS: Why do you think cable subscribers have to eat so much s*? It is because they are in a position where they can’t fight back. They have to cancel the whole thing, might be in a contract, and will have to change their viewing habits. Most will not bother.
They are considered by the media companies to be passive – an inelastic demand. I would certainly do the same thing if I were running their P&L. Keep charging more? Yeah, why not? After all, you have to hit your number. And they are paying for many things beyond soccer.

@Don No – My point is…at least give me the replay. Who is going to subscribe to cable because of a few games anyway? They are just preventing people of watching it. I agree that ESPN+ is the better product after CBS (no blackout), but I do cancel every time this occurs, Blackout is the main issue for me in any service. I can find another audio stream, but I do not like to search for these games on the open market.

I will resubscribe again in the next can’t miss game. It should cost them some money as well. If more people did it, this s* policy would be dead in no time. I did the same with the Euros and ended up with 3 free months of the combo. So I was happy about it. I just think it is sound policy to fight back. I will do this every time and send a complaint along with the cancelation. It is a matter of principle.

Ra are you just hear to stir the pot. There are many ways to get a match for “free”. I however do support the likes of ESPN+ (I have the Hulu bundle) and Paramount+.

Hell ESPN+ is getting even more great content with the IPL Cricket that is now moving over from there HotStar brand. Hulu/Disney/ESPN+ not only is a great deal but it runs laps around the NBC Peacock crap show that is the EPL streaming product.

  29. Ilya

    September 1, 2021 at 7:37 pm

  36. locofooty

    August 30, 2021 at 10:24 am

So the matches on TUDNxtra are not available any other way? Or does Univision provide streams for them through authentication in an app? You’d think they put it on PrendeTV, with how much they promoted it during the Euro.

    • Christopher Harris

      August 30, 2021 at 10:42 am

You can watch TUDNxtra through fuboTV.

Other than that, TUDNxtra is available through their website but you have to authenticate your cable/satellite/streaming service to prove that you pay for TUDN through your provider. https://www.tudn.com/tudnxtra

It is stupid to have these games on PPV. I for one will not pay for a game on top of my soccer packages and tv bill. Sorry that is too much. Liked it las go around when they showed the games on BeIN. You can take the PPV and shove it.

Fellow south americans who live in the U.S…. please don’t waste your hard worked money on those ppv games! Is this 2004 again? I remember back then it was normal for south american qualifiers to be available only on ppv.. Now, I don’t understand why would anyone pay any money in order to watch those games when you consider factors such as:

1- Several national teams won’t be able to count with some of their most important players.
2- Because of covid, many players haven’t seen any action in the last few months… so I wouldn’t be surprised if these upcoming qualifying games show poor football.
3- something that makes south american qualifiers so wonderful is the presence of energetic and passionate fans in the stadiums… however as we already know, no fans will be allowed during the upcoming qualifying games.

Something I fail to understand is why so many south American qualifying games take place almost at the same time! obviously this would be justified if we were talking about the final qualifying games however the qualification competition is just starting! there’s no reason to have so many games almost at the same time… doesn’t this hurt the smaller teams since most fans around the world would rather see a game involving Argentina rather than a game involving Paraguay and Peru?

    Thank you for the article.

Lester…. if you don’t understand why anyone would pay money to watch a futbol (soccer) game, please save your opinion… You clearly don’t share the passion other south americans do. Are you really trying to encourage south americans not to watch their national futbol team on a world cup qualification game?? what a waste of time!!. I thought you were going to share some magical way to watch ALL the games for free when you said not to PPV the games but this??? really? unbelievable…

Yes, that’s the only one from Round 1 they’ll be showing. I have an article in the works which will explain everything. Should be live tonight or tomorrow on the homepage.

Chris, is it 100% official and final that FITE will be the only network showing CONMEBOL qualifiers, no other channel? Meaning BEIN Sports will officially not be airing conmebol qualifiers?

    • Christopher Harris

      September 2, 2020 at 1:16 pm

Yes, it’s 100% official. FITE has the exclusive rights.

      • Guillermo

        September 21, 2020 at 4:19 pm

Will they be on PPV or steaming only. I looked for the FITE app on my LG tv and it didn’t pop up. Why wouldn’t anyone else bid for games.

    • Guillermo

      September 21, 2020 at 4:40 pm

Did they buy the rights for all 18 rounds or just the first 2 rounds?

    • Christopher Harris

      August 31, 2020 at 11:27 am

In previous years, beIN SPORTS had the rights. But moving forward, they’re exclusive to FITE which is a pay-per-view streaming site. Live broadcasts of CONMEBOL games will be $100 per game.

Games will be available in English and Spanish.

        That’s a ripoff……$100 ????? per game????….
South American qualifiers are the best, but what happened with Bein Sports?

      • Dstorm

        September 1, 2020 at 3:06 am

I can’t believe MediaPro sold the Conmebol rights to a PPV distributor and they are selling single games for $100. That is insane. Somebody needs to dig up the backstory on that. Who would pay that price per game?

      • Dstorm

        September 1, 2020 at 3:21 am

Well after a little more research the news is still depressing. FITA ppv was offering a Round 1 bundle pack for $99. So you could see all 5 games for that price in round 1. That averages $20 per game but can you imagine the cost for the entire qualification cycle? What a bummer. I hope it fails spectacularly.

        • Guillermo

          September 24, 2020 at 3:23 pm

why would you pay the $100 when the games are overlapping each other. Look at games times and they all start maybe 30 minutes to 1 hour apart. You can’t watch all the games. Watching soccer in this country is getting worse. Have to pay for Sling, Peacock now this crap. It will never grow if you have to pay to watch every game.

    March 6, 2020 at 11:12 am

Chris, do you what channels are going to show the South American qualifiers?

    • Christopher Harris

      March 6, 2020 at 2:43 pm

The rights haven’t been finalized yet. Just like CONMEBOL to leave it to the last minute.

This one is going to be complicated because some of the nations are selling the rights individually themselves to their home games.

    June 1, 2018 at 7:36 pm

Thanks for the Reply Chris. Why are some of these friendlies so hard to watch?

    • Christopher Harris

      June 1, 2018 at 10:05 pm

So hard to watch because they’re boring, or so hard to find on TV or streaming? If it’s the latter question, there isn’t as much interest from viewers so there’s less of an interest from the broadcasters.

Otherwise, you can watch it on delay beginning at 10pm ET on beIN SPORTS.

Hey there, are we sure on the accuracy of these? ESPN TV Guide has the NI vs Switzerland game listed on ESPN 2. Also, will the Ireland v Denmark game on the 14th not be on tv? Match Pass is just online right? Thanks.

    • Christopher Harris

      November 3, 2017 at 11:51 am

Hi Stu, the programming guides are always subject to change (networks often make late decisions regarding where the games will be televised or streamed). We’ve updated the TV guide so it’s current as of right now, which reflects a few changes. The TV schedule has a “Last updated” date so you can check often and see if/when an additional update has been made.

        November 5, 2017 at 4:06 pm

Thanks Chris. You guys are awesome. A random question if you don’t mind. I emailed a sports bar in California to see if they had Fox Sports 2 so I could catch the Ireland second leg on Nov 14th. The guy responded and said that they carried only the “local” Fox Sports 2. Any idea what that would mean? I’ve followed up but had no response. Thanks for any light you could shed.

        • Christopher Harris

          November 5, 2017 at 5:09 pm

They probably mean the local FOX Sports regional affiliate network, so — for example — the local one to me is FOX Sports Florida. And there are local regional FOX Sports affiliates throughout the country. These channels are completely separate than FOX Sports 2 (aka FS2).

It’s possible they may not have FS2.

You may want to ask them if they have DIRECTV. If so, the channel numbers for the soccer networks (including FS2) can be found at https://worldsoccertalk-wp.futbolsites.dev/soccer-channels-directv/

    • Christopher Harris

    October 27, 2017 at 1:54 pm

Are you sure about the Australia vs Honduras being on ESPN3? The Honduras vs Australia game is on Telemundo on Nov 10 confirmed. The return leg is not on Telemundo, but most likely on Bein Sports. Where are you seeing that ESPN3 has this game? Thanks

    • Christopher Harris

      October 27, 2017 at 3:10 pm

Hi Fernando, according to my source at ESPN, the Australia-Honduras second leg will be on ESPN3. Of course, the programming schedules are subject to change, but that’s what we know today. The ESPN3 broadcast would be an English-language feed, not Spanish-language.

    • Chris Hockman

      November 7, 2017 at 9:20 am

ESPN 3 has the rights to all Australian domestic Internationals hence why they have that game. I’m surprised they don’t have English rights to the away leg honestly.

To be determined. We know what the kick off times are, but the TV channels haven’t been determined yet (we know the matches will be on FOX and Telemundo, for example, but FOX could decide to put them on FS1, FS2, FOX Soccer Plus, FOX or other channels; Telemundo could decide between Universo and Telemundo).
