EPL Commentators on NBC: Nov. 27 and Nov. 28

EPL Commentator Schedule Nov. 27 and Nov. 28

The managerial carousel is in full effect. Last week, three managers made their debuts with new teams. Dean Smith and Steven Gerrard picked up wins with new clubs. Meanwhile, Eddie Howe watched from afar as Newcastle drew with Brentford.

This week, interim-manager of Manchester United Michael Carrick oversees a flailing Red Devils side against top-of-the-table Chelsea. American Christian Pulisic bagged a goal in Chelsea’s comfortable win over Leicester, 3-0. This game is the weekend finale on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. ET.

While United-Chelsea may be the most important game in terms of history, Sunday’s Manchester City against West Ham game is the most important in regards to this season. West Ham, despite a 1-0 loss at Wolves last weekend, sits at fourth in the EPL table. Meanwhile, Manchester City looks to build on their second-place standing that sees them trailing Chelsea by just three points.

To get things started, Premier League Mornings start at 7 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Then, Arsenal hosts Newcastle in what should be Eddie Howe’s actual debut with the Magpies.

In between each window of games, Rebecca Lowe, Tim Howard and Robbie Mustoe host Premier League Live. Then, Goal Zone wraps up the day’s action on both Saturday and Sunday.

Last week, Goal Rush, the whiparound coverage for the busy windows of games saw 23 goals over just six games. To ensure you do not miss that same action, Goal Rush returns on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, there are three games in the 10 a.m. window. Then, on Sunday, there are four games at 9 a.m.

However, for those that want to focus on just the Manchester City versus West Ham game, Andrés Cantor calls his second English-language game this season. Danny Higginbotham joins Cantor in the booth from the Etihad, solely on Peacock.

Agree completely on the Pick-your-pocket Peacock network. No DVR platform and ridiculous waits for replays are intolerable. Adding to the ire was listening to that hack Andres Cantor who sent me scrambling for the remote mute button. The Sunday with pathetic Peacock only was a bust with Seb Hutchinson’s raspy voice and Cantor’s finger-nails-on-the-chalkboard delivery.

Leicester City vs Watford concluded a few minutes ago in heavy snow fall. It was 7 minutes of added time as the ground crews had to come out to clear the lines. Claudio Ranieri received a standing ovation from the Leicester fans. It was beautiful to see, a huge respect for the former manager. Great game to watch, despite the conditions, the visibility. Good commentary from Seb Hutchinson & Matthew Upson.

Enjoying Bill Leslie and Matt Holland on the City/West Ham game. Good commentary team.

Can someone at NBC explain why every match on Peacock doesn’t go to the halftime show? Watching the world feed City v West Ham (not the Cantor – Higgenbotham feed) and half-time just stayed on the “coverage to resume” slide and then a few minutes from the ground. Had to click over to Brentford v Everton & scrub back.

And also, on the west coast so not up at 4am to watch, don’t wake until 6. Make coffee, put on Man U v West Ham, cover the score bug and scrub back but only have about 90 min so miss the opening discussion on the pre-game show (usually decent & in-depth). At least did get the boot room discussion. I know not everyone loves the studio segments, but I do.

So no DVR with Peacock and you can only scrub back so far. On ESPN you can join in progress and go all the way to the beginning, regardless of how many minutes back it was. Why can’t NBC get such simple viewer experience things correct?

Who is doing City v West Ham on Peacock? It certainly isn’t Andres Cantor

@Nosferatu I’m curious to hear how Courtney Sweetman-Kirk does too. If she performs well maybe we’ll get less of Karen “nails down a chalkboard” Carney. I so enjoy Gary Taphouse but she ruined the Palace/Villa game for me.today.

No Lee Dixon is a disappointment. I enjoy Drury and Beglin. Excellent broadcasting team.

@George, if you don’t know who she is, then how do you know you’ll have to mute the broadcast?

Anyway, I googled her when I saw her name and saw she currently plays for Sheffield United. The women have an international break this weekend to explain her availability. I’m curious to hear how she does.

Who the hell is Courtney Sweetman-Kirk?
I can’t believe I have to watch the freaking Everton match on mute Sunday.

Please ask Arlo White to limit his comments. He is not a radio commentator. We can all see what’s happening and he does not need to ‘call the play’. He needs to credit the viewers with a grasp go ‘football’ that is at least equal to his own.

Honestly, the Saturday EPL matches are generally underwhelming., Palace v Villa might be worth a look.

Sunday I’m all in for City v West Ham & Chelsea v Man U. Even if on Peacock & I have to scrub back because they don’t have DVR

    Otherwise:
    Saturday: Valencia v Rayo (7am), Villareal v Barca (11:30am) on ESPN+
    Sunday: Leipzig v Leverkusen (8:20am) & Real Madrid v Sevilla (11:30am) ESPN+ and Napoli v Lazio (11:30am on Paramount+
