   First impressions:

   Good to see two matches at once
   Annoying automatic back and forth on the Audio, I should control what I want to hear
   Quality is absolutely awful, feels like I’m watching soccer in the 1990’s

   Paramount’s implementation of the feature is embarrassing, to say the least. It is the poor man’s attempt. If they don’t have the resources or expertise to do a proper software-based implementation like ESPN, the least they can do is to provide alternative audio channels. Have secondary audio for the other match, the same way they have alternative Italian audio for Serie A. The way they implemented it is simply not good enough.
   I agree – full DVR controls should come before this in terms of development priorities.

   The gold standard for multicast for me is ESPN+ on the Apple TV, it’s very smooth and seamless, though it is a shame that the only soccer I’ll watch on ESPN+ now that they lost the Euros and World Cup is the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. I appreciate when competing streamers try to add features and Paramount+ with the Champions League is a perfect candidate for multicast, however, when you add something it shouldn’t be half-baked: not having the ability to control or switch audio is below the standard set by ESPN+.

   My other problem with this decision by Pete is I would have preferred he add the ability to pause, rewind and fast forward within games on Paramount+…to me that’s a much higher priority than a 2 screen multicast. I have any number of extra retina displays to stream a 2nd game on. What I don’t have with Paramount+ is what ESPN+ and Peacock now provide on the Apple TV…the ability to rewind to any previous point including the start of the game and then pause or scrub forward or back as I see fit. You’re watching one game, you notice that some other game is 3-0 with Peacock it is now no problem to click over to that game, watch the 3 goals Wolves scored on Watford, then go back to your game where you left off.

   I appreciate Pete’s willingness to change things up at Paramount+ but I’d rather he not tout a new feature until it is up to the standard of others in the marketplace.

   When I read this article I was curious how it was going to work. It’s an interesting way to watch two matches at the same time. My only concern is that the audio only seems to be on the left side of the screen and you can’t change which game do you want to listen to. Does the audio switch and vice versa when something is happening during the match. I wonder if the Serie A can implement this feature as well or a Golazo zone when multiple matches are playing at the same time. Excellent. So far it works and that’s what we can be blessed with.

   Nice perk to have for those that don’t work in the afternoon and can watch them live, but how about they also focus on getting replays up quickly too. I’m sure there are a lot of viewers who work during the day and want to watch replays that evening.

     If you’re watching the replays later, remember to watch the “World Feed” game first.
     No spoilers from that game…

     …as opposed to the Drury / Tyldesley games which always update scores from the other match.

         Hi, Efrain.

         The replay is the same feed as the live one.

         CBS uses their in house guys – Drury and Tyldesley – for their “main game”.

         And they use the “world feed” for all the other games.

         Wednesday, they had Steve Wilson and Danny Mills for the Man CIty game.

         Tuesday, it was Tony Jones and Sue Smith for the Bayern Munich game.

   Just finished listening to your interview with the CBS producer, and just after that they add new features (this one of multiple games is pretty good, specially on the large screens!).

   Also they did open the spanish option on the Argentinian games. Please add the Colombian League now!

    Thank you for sharing the news. Nice to try it out for the second half of UCL. Looks like CBS may pick which game broadcasts sound (on iPad, the volume icon is display only). The new feature could be especially valuable if functional for the final CONCACAF qualifier window.

    Hopefully this works today on the new Chromecast with Google TV or on a laptop? Excellent news. Hopefully one day they can use this feature for the Italian Serie A>
