fuboTV to air 15 Premier League games in 4K over next month

Premier League games fuboTV 4K

FuboTV is one of the rare locations fans can watch Premier League games in 4K. Come to think of it, fuboTV and YouTube TV are the only two streaming services that provide access to higher resolution.

Premier League fans are in luck this season with more games than ever in 4K. For $10 above the base plan, fuboTV will air 15 Premier League fixtures in 4K over the next month. That starts with the August 20 fixture involving Spurs and Wolves. Each weekend, there are two to three games that are available in 4K. Generally speaking, these are the ‘marquee matchups’ for that week or day, depending on how the schedule shapes up.

As stated previously, the 4K plan with fuboTV is $10 above the base plan that most people subscribe to. Therefore, the total fuboTV subscription cost would be $79.99 per month.

Schedule of Premier League games available in 4K through fuboTV

These broadcasts come from Premier League Productions, not fubo nor NBC Sports. While watching, the game uses the world feed of the game instead of NBC’s own commentators. Whereas the traditional broadcast of a certain game has Peter Drury, Lee Dixon and Graeme Le Saux, the 4K broadcast uses Premier League Productions. This is a different commentator duo and different studio coverage.

That being said, here is the schedule of 4K Premier League games available via fuboTV. The associated channel for each of these games is available under NBC Sports 4K in fuboTV.

World Soccer Talk provides a full schedule of the Premier League commentators each week on Friday. That list, as well as the one below, lays out which games are available in 4K. Plus, it provides the commentators. However, that list uses the traditional NBC commentators for certain games, particularly involving Peter Drury, Lee Dixon and Graeme Le Saux.

How to watch the Premier League in 4K

First things first, you need to make sure that you have the subscription access to watch games in 4K. For cord-cutters, fuboTV and YouTube TV are the way to go. Satellite providers also tend to have 4K. Remember, the 4K channels on fuboTV are an additional cost to the base plan of $69.99 per month.

Then, there is the hardware. You must ensure that you have a 4K-compatible TV or device that can broadcast the game.

After that, you should be all set. As stated previously, the above schedule of games is available in a dedicated 4K part of the fuboTV guide. The channel simply says NBC Sports 4K, and you will then have access to higher resolution Premier League fixtures.

Sign up for a 7-day free trial of fuboTV, and watch the Premier League games mentioned above in 4K.

Sad to say, most of the presenters I am hearing on fubo games are ridiculously bad. Whoever is doing the Man U-Liverpool match is out of his mind. At 15:00, with United up by 1-0, he is saying that Liverpool is “now throwing everything at it”. They are “desperate”. Well everybody knows that’s crap. I have to turn off the sound; a pity, because the analyst (Jim Beglin I think) is excellent. All these private tv presenters other than Peter Drury are bad and it does affect one’s enjoyment of watching games. Special mention: Jim Proudfoot. I offer one thousand pounds sterling to anyone who can get him off soccer matches permanently. (No violence or criminal acts please.)
