EPL Commentator Schedule

EPL Commentators on NBC: April 2 to April 4

It feels like it has been a month since the Premier League teams competed. In some cases, that is not far off. For example, Manchester United last played a Premier League game on March 12.

The FA Cup quarterfinals and the international break is all wrapped up now. This weekend, all 20 EPL teams are in action as we enter the final stretch. No more international breaks, it is all to play for.

This weekend’s fixtures lack the title-challengers of Liverpool and Manchester City. Those two sides play clubs in the relegation zone. However, Everton, which has a reputation for finishing in the top half of the table, is just above that relegation zone. The Toffees take on West Ham, which still holds on to the chance of competing in Europe next season. Of course, the Hammers are still in the Europa League quarterfinals with a tie against Lyon coming up. But, it is nice to have the domestic league placement to fall back on.

Manchester United, which sits just two points above West Ham, is currently outside of the Champions League and Europa League spots. It has been a throwaway season for the Red Devils. Yet, in order to make sure that the club returns to European action next season, it needs results. That remains true as United hosts Leicester City, another team experiencing a disappointing season.

The relegation battle is something to keep an eye on. Leeds, Brentford and Newcastle all created some breathing room leading up to the international break. However, dropped points over the remaining games could prove damaging in terms of staying up.

NBC Coverage

On Saturday and Sunday, Rebecca Lowe reprises her role as the host of NBC’s pregame, halftime and postgame coverage. Then, on Monday, Paul Burmeister takes over as the host. Tim Howard and Robbie Mustoe are the analysts this weekend.

Premier League Mornings precedes the earliest game on Saturday and Sunday. Then, Premier League Live is the buffer coverage between games each day. Finally, Goal Zone wraps up all the day’s action in the Premier League.

Also this weekend, Goal Rush returns during the 10 a.m. kickoff window on Saturday. There are five games scheduled for that time slot, ensuring an abundance of goals that can be followed on the whip-around style show that follows all the games simultaneously.

Keep an eye out this weekend for the two games airing in 4K resolution. Subscribers to fuboTV, DirecTV and YouTubeTV will be able to see Liverpool host Watford and Manchester United battle Leicester in 4K. Hulu + Live TV and Sling Blue do not carry 4K resolution, so only the three aforementioned providers carry the higher quality.

Looking ahead to next weekend: I think I heard Rebecca Lowe say yesterday that she, both Robbies and Tim will travel and be pitchside for the Man City v Liverpool match. Any word yet on who’ll call that one, and whether any of the team making the trip will call Saturday matches?

For Man City vs. Liverpool, it’ll be Arlo White, Lee Dixon & Graeme Le Saux on site calling the game

White & Mustoe to call Newcastle-Wolverhampton Wanderers from St. James’ Park Friday, April 8 at 3 p.m. ET on USA Network and Universo

White & Earle will call Aston Villa-Tottenham from Villa Park Saturday, April 9 at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBC, Peacock and Universo

EPL replays that air on Peacock 🦚 instantly available now?
Sure seems that way if u open sports tab on Peacock right now last windows matches available seems like no 24 hour waiting? Could this be permanent?

      April 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm

The 24-hour delay is only for the games that are televised (i.e not on Peacock). So Liverpool-Watford will be available on Sunday via Peacock. It’s quite possible that Peacock may have found a way to get the replays of the Peacock games up there faster, though, that is true.

Thanks – though having Courtney Sweetman-Kirk for the co-commentator on the Saints game will probably suck.
Generally speaking female co-commentators seem to think they have to constantly talk (even if there isn’t anything interesting to say at the time). Less is more for a co-commentator. Male or female.

I just wish that they would stick to male commentators and co-commentators . The constant high pitched talking and near screaming at time is just like scratching a chalkboard ………Just glad this weekend I shall not be glued to watching the Wolves game or the Saints game.
